Swankit Swankit ran into the medicine den with a long meow, trying to call the medicine cats. The skinny black and white kit gulped, hoping they were nice and will fix her, I can't climb! All TreeClan cats should be able to climb.. Why can't I? she thought, feeling worried, In danger, all the predators will eat me! While my clan mates would be in trees... "Um... Hello? Is.. anyone there?" she asked, nervously, "I-I can't seem to be able to.. c-climb trees... am I broken?"

Notes - 'So, in another thread, she was called 'Broken' since she can't climb, so here she is believing she is broken, but she really isn't. But what I'm trying to think of doing is having you two possibly figure out she'll have a harder time of survival, since she's oddly skinny, small and fragile, from small medical conditions.'

(okay!)
Grayshade glanced around, distracted, before zeroing in on the small kit. With a sigh, she heard out the she-kit's mewls patiently, holding back a small smile. "You're not broken, just because you can't climb trees." She sat down in front of her.
"You're a kit--you're not expected to immediately be able to do everything adults can." Though it was easy to dismiss, the little she-kit did look a bit on the small side, certainly skinnier than necessary. She frown a bit. "What's your name--and how old are you?" She seemed as in control as an apprentice, and her body was as proportionate, but she was tiny, barely larger than a two-moon old kit.

Swankit Swankit felt much more calmer as she saw Greyshade come closer, but lowered her head as she looked at the medicine cat. So.. I'm not broken! she thought with a small purr, but huffed, knowing that Pepperpaw made her feel like she was. Hearing more questions from the older feline, she replied shortly. "I'm... Swankit, and about six moons.. almost an apprentice," she mewed truthfully.

"Nice to meet you, Swankit," Grayshade murmured, a bit distracted, but gave a double-take as she fully processed her words. "Six moons?" She scrutinized the little cat. "Have you always been this... small?" she asked carefully, not sure whether or not the kit would be offended.

Swankit Swankit nodded, glad the medicine cat was nice with greeting. But as she heard the next set of words she flinched, "Well.. I guess, I couldn't have shrunk. So yea.. I've been around this size."

Grayshade tried not to look actively annoyed, with both herself and the little kit at both question and reaction, keeping a carefully straight face. "Don't worry," she said, her heart thawing a little for the fragile kit. "You're still not broken or anything. Some cats are just a little smaller, or less strong. There's nothing you can do to help it and it's not your fault--it just makes you a little braver, and work a little harder."
She scrutinized thin muscles and tight skin carefully. "Is there anything else that seems like it's been maybe harder for you than it should have been?"

Swankit Swankit blinked, "Brave? W-with more effort?" she whispered to herself. The kit then thought for a while, and replied, "Well.. I guess games are hard.. running is a bit hard.."

Grayshade bit her lip a bit, trying not to wince as her sharp front teeth nearly broke her skin. She hated delivering bad news to patients, and kits were obviously the same if not much, much worse. She wondered if Swankit's mother had noticed her physical deficiencies.
"You seem like you can handle it, though," she mewed softly, trying her best to sound reassuring. She nodded a bit--she'd kind of expected it.
"I really don't know what I can do," she mewed before thinking that might seem discouraging. Whoops. "We can try strength herbs," she said quickly, "to see if it works... Or maybe some physical exercises to build up your muscles. Maybe get you some more food, though I'm not sure. This won't stop you from becoming a warrior," she added firmly.
(where exactly do you want to go with this? regular meetups for cat physical therapy would be obviously unrealistic in an ooc perspective. if you have a suggestion though i'll see what would work.)

Swanpaw "I.." she said with a blink, "I can.. train harder?.." she said, not knowing. The small kit blinked, looking around with her large eyes. She couldn't say anything else, and then stood up tall, looking at Greyshade.

(that's weird. i never saw this. oh well, sorry for the late reply)
"Of course," Grayshade said awkwardly. "You'll get a good mentor, they'll know how to handle it. It just makes you all the stronger. Mentally, at least. But this isn't something you can't move past, got it?" Grayshade lowered herself to the ground to look the small kit in the eye. "You're not broken. You can come back here anytime if something bad happens, okay?" Grayshade straightened up.

Swanpaw Swanpaw gulped, and listened carefully. I'm not broken.... she thought and gave a stiff nod before standing up tall and looking to the entrance, then back to the medicine cat. "Thank you.." she said barely audible, then nodded again, slowly walking out.
