The temporary queen lay in the nursery and stretched. Her eyes calm and warm as she watched the kits playing and sleeping all over the nursery. Then, she smiled softly. "Anyone want to hear a story from this old girl?" She asked softly.

Frostkit pricked her ears and perked up as she heard Silentstep's quiet mew. She had been lying in her nest, quite bored and lonely. She didn't often have much interest in kit games, and now after hearing Silentstep's invitation, she blinked and padded over excitedly. "Me please! Tell me a story!" Silentstep looked like an incredibly experienced warrior, who was sure to have interesting tales. Frostkit wanted to hear them!

"Hmm. How about a story from back when I was a medicine cat?" She asked with a bright smile. Then, without waiting, she continued. "My mentor, Sunblaze, left one morning with a rouge. They went to the mountains and I followed like a foolish apprentice. Turns out, there was a mountain lion up in the mountains and he was hunting cats. My mentor fought her way to the top of the mountain. Killing the leader of those fierce mountain lions. She was so wounded, I thought she was to die. But, her daughter and my son, appeared and helped me return her to camp. Only, it wasn't all good. I healed her, as was my job. Then, well, I heard the rumble. A rockslide came and I had to help the clan again. I dragged warriors and elders out of harms way. I broke a paw that day. But, I saved many of the great warriors you may see today." She chirps with a smile. Then she looks at the sky. "There were many dark days back then. Many leader changes, loves lost, and rouges that became desperate and joined out clans."

An older warrior in the nursery, well this could get interesting.
The tom thought to himself as he gazed over to the kit and queen not too far from him. She sounded much older than he was, much older than most of the warriors who called Rockclan their home. Either was interested in what she had to say.
She was what the other cats called a temporary queen. Not one who always cared for the kits but someone who was nursing her own for the time being. Shrugging he got to his paws and padded over, sitting before the older cat and mewing, "it's amazing your mentor survived."
He had heard stories from the other kits about such creatures, how large and fierce they were. Bigger than badgers and foxes. Even bigger than dogs. It was a terrifying thought. Sunblaze must have been an extraordinary warrior. | ◀ MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS |

"Ah, Sunblaze was a fighter despite being a medicine cat. She won many a battle in her day. Even drove off my mate as he tried to kill me. Back before I was fully trained as a medicine cat. She saved me from many a danger." She replied with a shake of her head. A small smile played on her lips. "I have seen the leader change twice in my time. I have seen the queens change many times. I watched wars and natural disasters rage. I am older than I look, just haven't retired yet." She chuckled softly and smiled at the gathered. "I raised my kits and then watched them part with me. I even trained many apprentices, time and time again. Many great warriors I called friend. Coalstep and Forestfeather. Those were two I was close to." She mused and then sighed softly. "Up is there anything you kids want to hear?"

Sandkit walked into the nursery just as Silentstep finished talking about apprentices. "And you might ne training me soon." Sandkit laughed sitting by Silentstep and turned to the other kits. "She is a great warrior. And a even greater mentor."

Woah! I never knew medicine cats could fight! Silentstep's mentor must be amazing! But she grew solemn at the thought of those dark days. She never wanted that to happen again. Peace was boring, but it was peace all the same. As the two other kits walked in, Frostkit looked up. She knew one kit, Sandkit, but had never met the other. As Sandkit spoke, Frostkit nodded solemnly. Silentstep was a senior warrior, she knew, and she couldn't help wonder what other wars she had seen. It must be very lonely to see so many people come and go. But Frostkit perked up a little at the mention of mentors. "You might be mine too! I hope I do get you. I bet you're an amazing warrior too, as well as a great queen."

Looking over at Snadkit, she purred and aimed a nudge at the small female. "Of course. And if I do, I'll turn you into a warrior like my son, Darkheart." She said with a chuckle. At the praise of Frostkit, she turned her head and smiled softly. "I'm just like any other warrior. I just have a few years more experience, really." She replies as she smiles. "Want to hear about the first time I spoke to Starclan? I was a kit much like you three then."

"Can't wait!" Sandkit giggled nudging the older female back. "And he I would love too! I bet Cloudclan is amazing!" Sandkit lept into the air in joy.

Starclan, the un-seeable force that Webkit didn't particularly believe in. There was no proof, nothing solid he had seen, tasted or heard himself. Therefor he was a skeptic. But he was interested all the more. This cat seemed particularly wise, like she knew plenty, even if he didn't believe in the higher clan of dead cat's he still had an ear for a good story.
"I'll gladly stick around for this." He purred, laying down now, his paws tucked under his chest as he gazed on at the she-cat before him. | ◀ MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS |

"Well, when I was your age, I was playing with another kit, Shadowkit, and we were bored. So, we went playing out of the camp. Sunblaze caught us. She was furious and I ended up getting hurt when I tried to escape her. Tripped and hit my head. Well, I passed out. A female came up to me in my dream. She told me to get up and so I did." She looked at the others and smirked. "She warned me that Shadowkit was trouble. She told me to avoid him. Of course I thought it was a dream and didn't listen. She also told me I would be a healer, and I laughed. Of course, when a creature made of stars talks to you, would you believe it?" She asks with a chuckle. "I woke up in the medicine cats den. And, everything she told me happened. Shadowstep forced me to have kits. And then tried to kill me and I became a healer all in the following moons."

"Whoa! What happened to Shadowstep?" Sandkit asked looking a little puzzled she had never heard about a warrior named Shadowstep. Was he a bad cat? Or was he good.

Why would anyone force someone to have kits? He laughed to himself, who wanted kits? All they were was trouble. Shrugging he brought himself from his mind and looked up at the Queen again.
"So this spirit cat you witnessed..." He started, assembling the words on his tongue before he let them dribble from his mouth. "She set up your future... meaning you had no free will?"
Webkit had always liked the sound of freewill, and when it came to the fact that there was such a thing as fate he liked to push it away. | ◀ MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS |

"He is dead. I.. I had to chose him or Darkheart. He was going to kill my so, our son. So I attacked him. We fell over the ledge and he fell into the Rapids. I barely clung to the edge. Smokey eyes saved me and I took Darkheart home with me." She mused before looking to WebKit. "I have never had free will. Not sense I was born and they chose me. Now, now they no longer need me. But, I'm here." She mused softly.

Frostkit blinked in surprise at Silentstep's story. Why was CloudClan so cruel? She had always thought that CloudClan was all seeing and wise. But maybe they were just simple cats. After all, they were just dead cats. And all cats had their flaws. And she disapproved of how CloudClan would just throw Silentstep away like that. That was simply evil. "Well, even if CloudClan no longer needs you, RockClan does." Frostkit mewed softly, trying to cheer up the queen.
