Hazekit just sort of looked over, confused until the moss ball hit him in the face and he just shook his head, recoiling from the hit. Yet he then just picked it up and tossed it back at him.

Silverpaw could clearly see Otterkit's attempt to get Hazekit a little more involved, but it wasn't really working. Sighing, she decided to change tack a little. Otterkit would surely protest if she stopped the game now, but she wasn't too sure if Hazekit would just be even more confused. Lifting the last moss ball she had, she slid it gently towards Otterkit, gesturing for him to bat it towards Hazekit. At least if Hazekit continued to be too baffled, he wouldn't repeatedly get hit in the face with moss balls.
(The general idea is sorta like football.)

Otterkit noticed the gesture and batted the ball to Hazekit, careful not to hit it too hard.

(So that determines that you're European)
Hazekit was still confused at how the game suddenly changed pace and was no longer tossing moss balls but suddenly sliding them. Yet he took a little more initiative in this one and batted it back towards Silverpaw, being a little more familiar with traditional moss ball, so this was a little more back into his knowledge.

(Nope. I would tell you but racial prejudice is sadly in the way. I made the mistake of doing it on another site and yeah... If you are my race I'm going to laugh)
Silverpaw grinned happily as Hazekit finally got into the swing of things. Maybe all it took was a little familiarity and some practice. Raising a paw carefully, she bit back a curse as the ball slid straight past her raised paw and into the front of a den. Running over, she clawed the ball back and batted it blindly, hoping some kit would go and get it. She hadn't really mastered this version of moss ball yet.

(Sorry, I thought Otterpaw would have responded to this)
Hazekit quickly ran after it and batted it back over towards Otterkit, having finally gotten into the game.

(Tis alright. Would you like to end this thread soon since it doesn't seem to be going anywhere? The kits get tired or something?)
Silverpaw nodded in approval as Hazekit finally got into the swing of things. It was great to finally get the kit included in the game, and even attacking of her own accord. Deciding to simply watch for the kits' reactions, she observed the both of them carefully. Hopefully Otterkit would respond in kind, and the game would progress, staying fun for all parties.

(Yes, let's please end this XD)
Otterpaw smiled, pleased that Hazepaw was getting it. He hit the ball where it had come from.

Silverpaw, watching, could see that the kits were starting to tire a little. They themselves might not know it, but their movements were starting to slow ever so slightly. It had been a long day for all of them, and it was about time that the kits got back to their nests and their respective mothers. It would be horrible if the queens thought that they were missing! Silverpaw inwardly shrunk at the thought of being chased by two infuriated queens. That wouldn't be fun indeed! Carefully batting the ball out of the air, Silverpaw meowed, not unkindly, "The two of you, it's time to go back to the nursery. You've done well today, and I thank you. Now go on!"

Hazepaw had just gotten into the game but gave a small sigh and nodded his head, "Okay, come on Otterkit." He responded to Silverpaw as he motioned for Otterkit to follow him, giving a short goodbye to Silverpaw.

Otterkit grinned at Silverpaw. "Bye!" He trotted off after Hazekit to the nursery.

Silverpaw smiled back at the two little kits and turned to leave. It had been a good day for her, and she looked forward to keeping a strong relationship with the kits as they grew. She hoped, too, that the both of them would never lose their friendship. Thye complimented each other so perfectly! Suddenly remembering something else that she had to do, Silverpaw padded to the fresh-kill pile and pulled out the carcass of a songbird. Stripping the bird of it's feathers, she placed the soft bedding at the entrance of the nursery, unwilling to enter it and risk waking up the kits. It would be a nice surprise for them when they woke. Nodding happily, she walked back to the apprentices' den for some rest.
