Since leaving the Nursery as a queen, the Petalfur had been itching to be outside serving the clan to the fullest every moment. That and she had felt a bit lonely with her mate off doing Cloudclan knows what. So frankly, she was bored and yet full of energy, and needed people to splatter that on. Greenleaf was coming to a close, and the Iceclan mountains only magnified the chill. Petalfur crouched in the diminishing rays of light, soaking up the last bit of warmth as she surveyed each passing clanmate for the most lonely-looking cat out there. After a while she gave up on that effort, and approached a random she-cat and dipped her head in greeting. Petalfur had never been that great at meeting new people, and it took confidence for her to approach this stranger. "Eh, hi?" She said hesitantly, inwardly scolding herself for the rudeness. "Um, sorry, I was just... I'm Petalfur."
For Dappledleaf. Sorry, this isn't my best work, but it's something I hope. Template by Meg❤

Dappledleaf had just finished a hunting session, and not too soon after dropping her prey into the pile, she was approached by a she-cat who appeared to be fairly large she-cat with green eyes, and a gray coat. Well she sure felt small again, which was only normal, seeing she was a small she-cat.
She dipped her head, and couldn't help but grin at the awkward greeting. "No problem, Petalfur." Dappledleaf began with a quick meow. "It's nice to meet you, I'm Dappledleaf," she said after a moment, then added another brief second later, "Sorry for not knowing you, it's just that I'm sort of new here and... yeah."
[It's all right! My muse was brutally murdered in my opinion, considering I'm taking in three apprentices as a new warrior...)

"It's alright," Petalfur assured her right away, feeling more comfortable. She hadn't expanded her friendship circle since kithood, so it felt nice to get along with someone new again. "There's so many of us here, it's impossible to know everyone!" Petal smiled. Her gaze wandered across the mountains on which Iceclan lived and her aqua-green eyes took on more of a wondrous look. "It's so beautiful out here, don't you think? I haven't been able to see it very often, being stuck in the nursery, so every view is breathtaking." Template by Meg❤

She nodded in agreement; there really were quite of few of us, excluding tons of inactive people. As the spotted she-cat, Petalfur, cast a glance over their home, their mountains and their rivers(their their their), Dappledleaf couldn't help but do the same. It took her a moment to realize she'd never really appreciated everything around her, territory included(their home really).
"Oh?" she asked, while curling her tail gingerly around her paws. "You're a queen?" It seemed there'd(?) been quite of few of them lately! Not that she minded at least. IceClan could use a couple more helping paws around the camp. She considered it often, since she loved teaching and caring for other cats(kits especially), she just hid it, and seemed to let off a more crazy and fun side at times.

The Bengal's gaze returned to her Clanmate and she smiled warmly. "I was, formerly, yes," Petalfur corrected kindly, thinking of her numerous kits. "Nine, if I counted heads right." A cold gust of wind rushed up the mountains, sending a chill down her spine, reminding her of the coming season. Template by Meg❤

"Ah, I see." she said wistfully, looking quietly around the camp, blinking rapidly at the cold gust of wind blew up and around the mountains. "Nine." she said. "That seems like quite a few, you must be proud!" she exclaimed, offering a smile. Kits were most definitely a large responsibility. Underestimating the job was incredulous, in her opinion. A queen(former or not), was well-worth respecting.

She nodded in agreement, her smile deafening. "You have no idea," Petalfur responded, her gaze on the view again. "Though it is quite a challenge to catch up with all of them!" A slight chuckled resonated from her throat, as did an amused purr. "So, Dappledleaf, how's life for you?" Template by Meg❤

She titled her head curiously, glancing across the camp carefully. Surely it was tough to keep up with all of them, yes... after a moment the queen asked how she'd been. Oh?
"Oh, you know... normal?" she asked, unsure how to respond. Cool - her life was important to someone ~ "Nothing much really... I have three apprentices though(idk if i mentioned that besides ooc)." she said, tail drooping a bit. "I'm excited, but it's pretty overwhelming!"
What was she doing? She was acting all... sad and depressing. Shaking her head, she looked at the queen smiling. "Though I have two good friends I love to hang around, they really do help me cool off." Too bad she was made a warrior without them.

Petalfur would have raised an eyebrow at Dappledleaf's almost shaky response if she hadn't been aware it would probably be considered rude. "Oh, I'm sure those apprentices are a handful," she responded, thinking back to her own. "Mine always tend to disappear on me before the second day of training, and sometimes even before we start!" Dappledleaf mentioning her friends reminded Petalfur that she didn't really have any. Her only friend was Tigerfrost, and he was Cloudclan knows where, and Ashfrost, who was a mate and considerably her best friend, was probably extraordinarily busy considering his vacancy. Even if Tigerfrost was there, it would be far too awkward considering Petalfur almost became his mate in a moment of vulnerability at Ashfrost's sudden disappearance after a fierce argument. It wasn't that Petalfur didn't love him, she just.... well, actually she wasn't sure if she was over him or not, which made her fearful. But Ashfrost was her mate, and she loved him more than life, and that's what she kept telling herself. "So....."

She cast Petalfur a surprised glance. "Really? That's a shame!" Darn all these inactive cats. How would apprentices just disappear anyway? It sounded odd to hear that, but she wasn't too surprised. She'd seen lots of her friends disappear. Now she was with another potential friend though, hopefully they'd end up good friends instead of acquaintances.
After a moment of silence, she looked toward the entrance of the camp. "Well... we're both warriors," - something she was still getting used to saying - "why not hunt together?" she asked. "Only if you don't mind, though!" she added quickly.

Nodding solemly at Dappledleaf's response to her missing apprentices, Petalfur shuffled her paws, suddenly a prickled by not moving; that was the thing about being a breed of cat produced for survival. Somehow the Bengal was usually able to harbor that energy, however, even as a kit. "I'd love to!" Petalfur exclaimed a touch to quickly, standing up and stretching stiffly. "Do you want to lead the way?"

"Great!" she mewed lightly, then made her way toward the entrance(and exit) of the camp. She savored the breeze that came rushing past her as she exited just for the briefest moment, then trotted to the river.
"Do you mind if it's more like fishing?" Dappledleaf asked. She'd forgotten to mention fishing; it was her favorite type of hunting. Though, maybe they could catch a couple voles or shrews along the river's bank near the forest...

"Not at all!" Petalfur responded, gladly trotting after Dappledleaf. "Ashfrost and I - He's my mate - We tend to fish when we go hunting; it's one of my favorite forms of hunting, I think." She smiled briefly. "We actually got into an argument fishing once. I accidentally hit him in the face with a fish." It wasn't exactly a fond memory considering the long argument that took place afterword, but she was trying to move on from that.

Ashfrost sounded nice; Dappledleaf was glad this she-cat had someone who appreciated her. It was well deserved. She couldn't help but grin as she imagined the Bengal slapping another cat in the face with a fish(even if it had been by accident).
"Ever since my mentor, Maplefrost, taught me how to fish I developed a love for it..." she mewed, smiling at the memory of it all. Not that she enjoyed killing fish, but that it was a way for her to relax.
Once they'd arrived, she jumped onto one of the many flat stones used to cross the river, and dropping into a comfortable crouch. She hadn't invited Petalfur over, only because she wasn't sure if the she-cat wanted to fish next to her or not. She was very much allowed to join her, though.

At the mention of Maplefrost, Petalfur became accutely interested. "Maplefrost was your mentor?" She asked more rhetorically than intended. "I know him. He's... well, he's Maplefrost." Petal smiled at the thought of the old tom, who always had the audacity to shoo Petalfur away when she insisted on providing him with the apprentice's chores, of which were always neglected. Petalfur took her own place on the bank of the river under a particularly wide tree, where the water was deep and slow. She had always noticed that, in addition to the center of the river, most of the larger fish stayed under the shadows of the undergrowth were they had the false sense it was deep. Already the she-cat could see the glint of their scales and licked her lips in anticipation for the catch. "So what was it like, having Maplefrost as a mentor?" Petalfur asked, curious about what he was like when he was younger. That and she didn't want to go completely silent.
