Hazepaw

[Hi, sorry! This took so long(I don't really know if it did), but I'm finally getting around to making it, -happy dance- yay.]

Dappledleaf woke up early, as always, something that began a habit thanks to her mentor, Maplefrost. She didn't mind really, since she had no trouble waking up early in the morning(i don't even know if there's some cat terminology thing for early morning).

Of course there was always an exception when you took in three apprentices(not that she'd asked for so many). It seemed she was one of the few warriors who was actually active around enough to help the clan out.

Making her way over to the apprentices den, she called wearily to the tom, then made her way to the camp entrance, waiting(it was a routine now).

[Hazepaw]

Little did she know, Hazepaw was already awake and came out instantly upon being called, looking around with his yellow eyes, finally catching sight of Dappledleaf. He was already awake due to how Otterpaw was already up and out at that time of the morning and they usually slept literally side by side. He had already groomed himself and cleaned his own fur as now he just gave a small, quick stretch before quickly making his way towards Dappledleaf, he was definitely ready for his first day of training.

[Dappledleaf]

Well. Today was going to be a long day; they were taking a territory tour, and possibly a small hunting session in between, or after, if they had any time at least.

As the silver tom appeared from out of the apprentices den - looking very ready for his first day - which was good, she dipped her head in his direction. "Good morning, Hazepaw." she greeted, then gestured toward the entrance(and exit) of the camp with her tail. "Ready to go?"

[Hazepaw]

Hazepaw just gave a small nod in respect for the greeting, which he then straightened up when she asked if he was ready or not. The tom was quite silent most of the time, but he just gave a another nod, he was ready to begin the first day of training.

[Dappledleaf]

So he was silent. No problem, she could work in silence, though he'd be expected to speak up at times. Making her out of the camp, she made her way through, up and over the rocky territory to the TreeClan border, then turned to the tom, while glancing carefully along the border.

"Tell me what you can scent out." she instructed after a moment. "And might you be able to guess what clan this is?" she asked. "Don't be afraid to make mistakes, by the way."

[Hazepaw]

Hazepaw had followed his mentor all the way out to where she was until she stopped. Which he just started to gather scent from the air, scenting a mouse or two, and more importantly, another clan. "A mouse... and... Treeclan??" Hazepaw said, giving a wild guess, being more on the fact he could see the greener trees and grass on the other side, giving a guess from his knowledge of the other three clans.

[Dappledleaf]

She nodded. "Good, that's correct." she said after a moment, then started making her way over to FireClan, the prairie coming in view.

Turning back to the tom again, she gestured toward the prairie. "Also, I know this is boring..." she said, trailing off, and after a moment finished. "Want to take another educated guess?"

[Hazepaw]

Hazepaw followed after her, he didn't seem bored at all! He actually enjoyed looking at the scenery around and taking in his surroundings. Which he felt a little distraught when his mentor claimed that it was boring, when after all he found it quite fun to just explore the territory and recognize other places and the borders. Yet now he seemed a little dumbfounded, he tried to jog his memory to what clan lived on a prairie. Which the tom then quickly gave a bright look at he took a shot at which it could be, "Fireclan??" He said, hoping he remembered correctly.

[Dappledleaf]

She nodded again. "Correct." she mewed, smiling. So he knew his stuff, that was good. As they made their way to RockClan, the name quite self-explanatory, she spoke up, cutting through the silence. "While we're making our way to the last stop, would you like to try listing the clans' strengths and weaknesses?"

[Hazepaw]

Hazepaw just gave a confused look, he hadn't gone over what the clan's strengths and weaknesses were, not even all of the clans either! This was surely one thing that was going to have him stumped. The dumbfounded look on his face definitely gave way to his confusion.

[Dappledleaf]

It was actually quiet easy if you gave it some thought. Sighing, she flicked her tail, stopping at the border. "Basically," she began, "territory is the best answer, though others are acceptable."

Since she wasn't sure or not if he'd understand, she continued. "Your territory is your strength; prey, predators, routes, etcetera." It was important really, even if he found it redundant. "It is also your weakness: other clan's territory is different, and unique in it's own way with it's own prey, predators and routes."

[Hazepaw]

Hazepaw nodded, listening to everything Dappledleaf was telling him.

[Dappledleaf]

She paused as he nodded continuously. "Right." she said lifting a hesitant paw, then took him a bit closer to the border. "Last clan." she announced. "Which clan is this one?" [short]

[Hazepaw]

Hazepaw continued to follow Dappledleaf, having listened to her entire explanation without even shying away or driving his attention to something else as it actually had him interested, yet then he stopped for a second as she asked him about the last clan that they visited the border of. In his mind he quickly went over how they already went to Treeclan and Fireclan, and obviously live in Iceclan, so that narrowed it down to the only one not mentioned or traveled to, "Rockclan." He responded to the question after using his brief moment of deductive reasoning.

[woops, thought I responded]

"Yep." she said after a moment, then finished. "Correct..." Honestly she was a bit surprised the tom was intrigued at all by the territories; she was practically falling asleep on her paws. Though she'd learned to appreciate it, nonetheless.

"All right." she breathed, growing tired. "Let's show you around our territory, shall we?" Dappledleaf asked the tom, though it wasn't really a question. (waits for some sort of response) After he responded, she headed to one of her favorite hunting places. The river.
