Are apprentices allowed to have a crush? As long as it doesn't out of control?

Yes, a small one is fine.
But you can't be in love or have mates.
That's what I know.

Although I would just like to point out that there is no official rule prohibiting apprentices from falling in love or having mates. Wildstar herself pointed this out some time ago, stating that technically we can't really stop them from having mates if they want too. And contrary to what everyone says it's not COMPLETELY unrealistic, since cats (and pretty much any mammal) have been known to practice mating behaviour before reaching adulthood.
But anyway it's HIGHLY discouraged on here, since it causes a lot of drama and everything would be so messy. And also it would be kinda awkward if your mate goes inactive, and by the time they come back you have 300 posts and they still have 80.
So yeah basically don't do it im sorry i just wanted to point this out sorry //fades away |

Uh, just to clarify, no. Apprentices may not have mates. That's common sense. If kits are the equivalent of babies, apprentices are like teenagers - and you don't get married as a teen. That's too young. We don't have an official rule on it because there hasn't been a need for one; everyone generally understands that their character must grow up before falling in love. The characters may be cats, but if they have the intelligence required to create miniature societies, they also know to wait until adulthood before getting hitched.
Small crushes are totally alright. Think elementary/middle school on this one - apprentices are just getting to the point where they're maybe having some romantic thoughts, but they have no idea what they're doing. I'd say things like one character trying to be put on patrols with the other, flubbing their words when in the presence of their crush, etc… that's fine.
But seriously: your characters will have their entire adult lives to get into things beyond that. Calm down and be patient. This is a warriors roleplay, not a dating sim. We're not trying to discourage you from ever giving your character a romantic interest, but really, be tasteful about it. No underage love. Please.
