Viperkit, bored of the nursery had taken to wandering around camp aimlessly. Okay, that was a lie, she had a goal in mind when she nosed her way into the apprentice's den. The black and white kit stretches herself out and claws at some moss, satisfied with the way she could shred it now. She scrapped together a pile into a sort of messy nest, mimicking what she'd seen other apprentices do when they changed the moss in the nursery. Yep, this was her nest now it was official because she made it. A bit early to be moving in huh? Well she didn't think it was early enough. Maybe if she was lucky one of the other apprentices wouldn't notice she wasn't supposed to be in here and accidentally invite her on patrol or something. Yes that was definitely going to happen, it was practically destiny at this point she thought.

Sandpaw padded into the apprentice den and froze at the site of the small she-cat. "Now who are you?" She said. "You dont look like a apprentice." She stated and the sniffed the air smelling the nursery scent.

Confounded already. Or maybe not, the kit still had a chance to talk herself up. "I'm me," Viperkit answers boldly, clawing at the moss some more, "So of course I don't look like just any old apprentice." She grins at the older cat with confidence.

Sandpaw looked at the kit and leaned in sniffing her. "You smell like the nursery and the other kits." Sandpaw stated. "What are you doing to our nests?" She meowed looking at the moss the kit was clawing at.

Violetpaw sat up at the commotion to see to other apprentices...or one apprentice one kit? She didn't know and she really didn't care but why not join. She chuckled coming up behind Viperkit."Shes obviously a apprentice..I'm sorry your Sandpaw right?..and your Viperpaw?"She asked wondering if she was right.She flashed a mischievous smile at Sandpaw.

Sandpaw returned the smile to Violetpaw. "Yes she is. Lets see if Violetpaw would like to help check the elders for ticks and get moss.? She looked down to Viperkit. "Go to the Medicine cats den and ask for mousebile. Violetpaw could you go get some moss? And I'll clean up the old moss." Sandpaw said.

Violetpaw couldn't help but laugh as Sandpaw took her game alittle farther."Oh, yes I heard that some ticks have been comeing around in the elders den alot of complaining!aren't I right Sandpaw?"She said standing up and flicking her tail.

"Completely. Okay meet you guys in the elders den. And Violetpaw come follow me I need to talk." As soon as Viperkit is gone she turns to Violetpaw. "Lets bring a little challenge. We'll roll in damp leaves and hide. Then we attack and see how 'Violetpaw' will attack."

Viperkit seemed a taken aback by the apprentice's suggestions. Cleaning up after gross old cats before she had to didn't appeal to this kit at all and so she tried to weasel her way out of it. (Though she wouldn't have had to if she hadn't snuck in here in the first place.) "Ha..ha, that's a good one, but you see, I already did all that so they're good and tick-less now! Yep." Viperkit lies.
