Sunfish had maybe decided to follow Robinstar. He wasn't exactly sure where Robinfrost was going, nor did he know if the deputy was aware he was tailing him. It was quite dark out and Sun was staying quite a distance away. But he was making sure to follow close enough as to where he wouldn't lose the brown tabby. The golden tomcat accidentally stepped on a small twig, making a crunch sound. "Heh.. Hey Robbie." Sunfish was accustom to calling his friend by his loner name, even when they were Clanners. Maybe it was a symbol of their friendship or just an old habit that never went away. Nevertheless he hadn't given up on it. "What's up?" He laughed sheepishly.

Robinfrost hadn't been able to sleep. For some reason, his mother had been on his mind—more than usual, at least. He'd decided it was time he would visit her grave, so he slipped out from camp, unaware of his best friend following him. If he had known, he wouldn't have continued. Unfortunately, it wasn't until he had begun crossing the thunderpath that he heard the twig snap.
Robin whirled around, narrowing his eyes against the darkness, when Sunfish stepped forward. Robbie. It was his name before. He didn't mind if Sun called him that in private, but at that moment it made his heart wrench as he thought of his mother again. "O-oh, hi." He said, trying to hide the sudden surprise and nervousness from his voice. What excuse could he ever come up with? "Why are you following me?"

Sunfish's ears flattened when Robinfrost noticed him. "Heh.. My stealth has never been too key for me.." He muttered with a small sheepish laugh. Why are you following me? He fliked an ear awkwardly, shifting his gaze to the side. "..Well thought I'd drop by. I mean it's been a while since I've talked to you alone, or well it feels like it, and I saw you go out of camp so I thought I'd tag along until you caught me." He muttered awkwardly, laughing.
"Where are you going?"

Robinfrost took a moment to compose himself, straightening his posture. "You should work on it," he agreed with a nod. It was a slightly stiff gesture, as he was still wondering why his best friend would be following him—and trying not to be noticed. "You should have said something," he muttered, avoiding Sunfish's eyes as he tried to come up with a lie. "I wouldn't have made you go back to camp. You know that."
Where are you going? The deputy stiffened ever so slightly, keeping his face calm and relaxed. He knew lying would be a long shot. He'd spent so much time with the tabby tom, that the deputy was certain he'd know he was lying. "I was just checking the border. I couldn't sleep." He edged off the black, hard surface of the Thunderpath, hoping Sunfish hadn't noticed.

Sunfish snorted. "Right, I'll keep that in mind." The golden tabby laughed lightly. "Maybe I was trying to be mysterious. I hear it's a real turn on. Maybe the she-cats will flock to me." He said with the utmost sarcasm. He yawned, sitting down and cocking his head. He raised a 'brow'. "This late, though? A simple walk would sound a lot more convincing." He stretched, taking one step.
"Seems a lot more like you had other plans. Going somewhere specific? If it makes all the difference, I'll accompany you to said destination." Sunfish took a step on the Thunderpath. "Lead the way." He said blankly, flicking his tail. He wanted to know where Robinfrost was off to.

Robinfrost snorted. "We both know how that'll work out. You've never been the best at pulling in girls," he said, a smile twitching at the corner of his lips. The deputy searched Sunfish's face. "You don't believe me, then," he said. He hadn't expected him to. "Fine. I was going on a walk," he told his best friend, rolling his eyes. As Sunfish continued speaking, it was clear the tom wasn't giving up.
"Why do you even care? It's not important." That was a lie. It was very important, to Robin at least. He grumbled in annoyance, following Sunfish onto the Thunderpath. He made sure it was clear of monsters, before continuing to the other side. He walked along the edge of the loner territory, following the road towards RockClan territory.

"Are you kidding I'm pretty suave." He joked, rolling his eyes. He wasn't exactly smooth with well.. anyone. He shook his head. "No, I don't." He snorted, laughing teasingly. He was pretty good at reading his friend. "A walk.. I feel like it's more important then you make it out to be." He was suspicious of his friend's behavior. Was he hiding something from him? Sunfish wasn't about to let him get away with that. So he'd go along with him.
"Well then if it's not important you won't mind if I go with you." He let Robinfrost go ahead of him and followed him towards RockClan territory. "RockClan..?" He muttered under his breath, puzzled. Why's Robinfrost going here of all places? Am I missing something?

Robinfrost snorted, a slight look of amusement crossing his face. "I'm obviously the one getting all the ladies," he told him with the tiniest of laughs. "I have a whole crowd of kids already." He nodded. "Of course you don't," he muttered with a huff. He shrugged, biting his tongue. "It may be, yes. But it's my business," he told his best friend, avoiding his eyes. He felt bad keeping secrets from Sunfish, but he'd rather not have to explain everything.
The deputy didn't answer, but he was tempted to whack the tabby with his tail. He refrained from doing so, giving a slight nod, which he doubted Sun could see in the dark. "Don't worry. We're not going in the territory," he responded, softening his voice. If anyone caught them, it'd be very hard to explain. Once the reached a certain point along the outside of the border, he walked a little distance into the loner territory. He made sure to keep the barn out of sight as he approached the rock that hung over RockClan's territory.

"Well..! I have a son so obviously I'm not that incapable." Of course he didn't even want to bring this up. His little whatever that was that resulted in Frostykit, well, let's just say Frostykit was half-clan. "Obviously I'm somewhat of a catch." He teased, puffing out his chest proudly. Sunfish felt bad, because Frostykit didn't seem overly fond of Robinfrost when Sunfish had mentioned him. He seemed bitter that somewhat got his father's attention more. Maybe it was a little true.
"Why are you coming here?" He inquired, curious as to why Robinfrost had decided to come all the way to this exact place. Is this like some important place to him? Sunfish followed him hesitantly. He had said he'd tag along, and he was going to.

This was news to Robinfrost. He'd met Frostykit once before, but he had never known that he was Sunfish's kid. "You have a… son?" His eyes widened slightly, but they quickly narrowed. His face always seemed to open up when he was around Sunfish (a big difference compared to his normal expressionless face), if not a little cautious. "Why haven't I heard of this? Whats his name?" He asked suspiciously. "She could've been given catnip or something. You never know." Of course, the deputy was only teasing.
Robinfrost walked slowly onto the large platform, sitting down as he looked over RockClan territory. He waited for Sunfish to come up next to him, glancing down at his paws. "I…" he frowned, clearly in conflict with himself. "It's hard to talk about." He looked up at Sunfish, sadness swimming in his blue-green eyes.

"..Yes." He supposed that he had never actually managed to bring it up. It's not that Sunfish didn't like Frostykit. It was more that Frostykit was the by-product of broken code. "Frostykit." He cocked his head. "Have you met him before? He's small, white, and got sort of an attitude to go with him. I swear he does not get that from me. I don't know where in CloudClan he picked up that behavior from."He shrugged. Sunfish was overall calm. Frostykit tended to be a bit snappy sometimes.
"..You..?" He went on. It's hard to talk about. "Oh.." He looked over and noticed the sorrow in Robinfrost's eyes. He hesitated. "You.. know you can talk to me right? I mean.. We've been friends for ages. If by now, I think you know you can trust me with things."

Robinfrost blinked, falling silent. How had he not known? Then again, the deputy hadn't exactly told Sunfish about his kits until it was brought up. When Sunfish told him his name, he paused, eyes widening a fraction. "Frostykit?!" He frowned, continuing to walk beside Sunfish. "That kid? He hates me. Yeah, I've met him. He certainly does have an attitude," the tom snorted, shaking his head. "You should teach him some respect," Robin teased, bumping Sun's shoulder with his own. "So, who's the mother?"
The tom sat on the rock, looking over when Sunfish spoke. "Yeah… I know," he murmured quietly, leaning slightly into his best friend's side. He fell silent for a long time before deciding to speak. "I told you about my mother, right? Reese." He began, looking at his friend for an answer. "She got pregnant with a tom from another clan. She was afraid of being kicked out, so she fled and became a loner. She raised me and a stray she found on the way to the barn—Leo. Lionstrike," he told him, his voice quiet. It was only for Sunfish to here. "We were so happy together. I grew up in the barn with Leo, and Reese taught us how to take care of ourselves, how to hunt, everything. She told us about the Clans—all these incredible stories. I didn't believe them at first, until she took us to see them." A wistful look appeared on his face. "We both loved her. So much. She was the best mom we could have asked for—and then she was taken from us." The deputy winced. "I'm not sure exactly what it was, but I suspect badgers or foxes. We tracked her scent until we found it. A pool of blood, and it smelled just like her.
"We made her a grave," he told Sunfish, a pained look on his face. If he hadn't built up so many layers of protection, if he was still Robbie not Robinfrost, he would have been crying. "Here. On this hill." The pile of rocks was almost impossible to miss, just to the right of the two cats. "I visit her every once in a while. Every time I can, but I always have to make sure no one will notice I'm gone. It's been getting harder to and… and I couldn't don't go to sleep because I was thinking about her. So I came here." He chewed on the inside of his cheek, waiting for a reaction. His whole body was trembling, and he closed his eyes.
