The calico she-cat sat in the middle of the frosty camp, the wind going through her fur and making her shiver. Her short fur wasn't built for the cold, and always was alone, so no one was really ever there to help her stay warm. She hadn't seen Sunfish in forever and that was really her only "friend" she had.
Leafbare was for a time to band together and survive, but here she was again this season...alone and cold.
She huddles her paws together with a sad sigh, covering her face with them. The frost then started to collect on her fur, giving it tiny speckles of shiny ice. It looked like a little fire, being doused bit by bit by water.

Silvercloud poked her head out of the warrior's den, restless. She couldn't sleep or anything, not today. Seeing a she-cat huddled in the center of camp, Silvercloud decided to greet her. The she-cat looked dejected and cold, and as Silvercloud approached, she could see the tiny bits of ice gathered on the other cat's pelt. What was that cat doing out here, in such cold weather? It looked depressing, frankly. Ears flicking back in concern for the other cat, Silvercloud padded neared and spoke gently and softly. "Hello there, I'm Silvercloud. What are you doing out here on such a cold day? You're almost frozen!" Sitting down and joining the cat, Silvercloud noticed the reason for the cat's cold. The she-cat had a short pelt, unusually short for Iceclan weather. Silver cloud flinched slightly in pity. Moving forward slightly, Silvercloud attempted to bring her tongue to the other cat's fur, warming her up a little.

At first, Scorchflight did nothing, hoping the she-cat in front of her was talking to someone else. It's usually what happened after all. But once she felt the contact she jumped away with a surprised squeak, her fur fluffing up and her little puffball of a tail on end.
"Y-Yeesh! Scare me half to C-CloudClan a-and back!" she mews, shivering.
She backs up away from her, her ears drooping. She hated when cats took the time to see her. It was all pity and she knew it. She studied the cat's features. A younger warrior than her no doubt. She remembered her getting her warrior's ceremony a moon or two ago.
Stammering, she figured she must answer her question, since no one else was around to have been the one she was talking to beforehand.
"If you must know...." she sighs softly, letting her fur flatten a bit as she sits down, keeping her eyes closed and her gaze away from her.
"I always sit out here. Regardless of weather. I'm not going to lower myself on my belly and hide in the warrior's den when it's cold. I'd be there all leafbare-!"
She looked down at her paws silent for a moment.
"Besides...no one wants me there anyways. They don't need a freak like me sleeping with them..."

Silvercloud flinched back in apology as the she-cat mewed at her. She hadn't seen that the she-cat wasn't expecting her to lick her, and felt guilty that she had obviously startled the other cat so much. Silvercloud's ears flicked back in confusion as the she-cat suddenly almost seemed to droop, moving away from Silvercloud. Was the other cat shy? She didn't entirely think so, but who knew? As Silvercloud listened to the cat's little speech, she wondered why the cat was beating herself down so much. It wasn't as if it was a sign of weakness to hide in the den. After all, every warrior did that when it was cold. Silvercloud started when the other cat mentioned that she was a freak. Why would she do that? She was no different from any other cat, after all. And even if she was, it shouldn't matter. Silvercloud mewed gently at the other cat, careful to not touch her. She could see that the she-cat had her eyes closed, and would rather not startle her. "I'm sorry for startling you! And you do know that it isn't wrong to stay in the warriors' den, don't you? It does get really cold in Iceclan, and if every warrior stayed out here, well, they would all be miserable! You can go in if you want." Silvercloud pondered what to say for the next bit. She knew that most cats didn't want pity, and Silvercloud had no intention of giving it to her. But she was gentle nonetheless. "And as for no one wanting you there, I don't think it's true. I can't speak for the other cats, but I want you there. You aren't a freak, not by any means. Why would you say that you're one?"
