It had been a day since the ceremony that had made five kits into apprentices, and one apprentice into a warrior. He hadn't spent any time on making his nest, so he had ended up sleeping on the bare floor. He didn't mind. His fur had kept him fairly warm, though he wasn't going to spend another night there. It was horrible. So on the top of Brackenpaw's agenda today was making himself a nest.
The black and brown tom had made his way out of the apprentices den to find himself some moss. He swiftly walked over to a rock that seemed to have great, soft moss. He clawed some off and picked it up in his jaws. Quickly making his way back to the apprentices den, he hadn't seen the other apprentice sitting near the den. He walked right into the other cat and the moss went flying everywhere as Bracken sat looking surprised. I. Ah.. I'm sorry. I couldn't see where I was going.

Sunday nights that you WANT HER LIKE VELVET CAKE The chill of wind against the scruff of fur on my neck was enough to tell me that it was starting to get pretty cold out, that is considering my large, fluffy mop of fr was finally being penetrated by the winter chills. I let out a small huff before exiting the den, the full force of the wind knocking into me like a sledgehammer. I let out a small breath, a wispy white cloud forming in front of me before disappearing just as quickly. I grinned and blew out another breath, enjoying the way it looked as it came out. A small fantasy of myself being one of those huge monsters on the thunderpath and blowing out those putrid fumes settled in my mind for a moment. I could still have childish hopes despite my age.
The next thing I knew, my partially ajar mouth was stuff with moss. I blinked the short green fronds my lashes, reaching up with a paw to wipe away the plants cluttering my face. I looked over in surprise, green eyes slightly widened with curiosity at where the moss bomb has come from. That could have at least given me a courtesy warning so that my mouth wouldn't be stuck with the stale taste of bitter greenery. I narrowed my gaze at a dark furred tom who seemed to be stammering and rolling over his words at first. I blew a piece of foliage from atop my nose before giving him a quizzical look. "I was the one standing around doing nothing, so I suppose I'm also at fault here. C'mon I'll help you gather s'more."

*muse died cause I have school tomorrow and I need to go to sleep right now. I could do better... Sorry.*
Brackenpaw got to his paws and quickly moved around to try and gather the moss that was scattered on the ground. He didn't want to leave a mess. It wasn't something he would have done. He kind of zoned out on the cat that he had bumped into and when he finally zoned back in all he heard was 'Doing nothing... At fault... Help gather more...' His eyes flicked to the she cat and gave her a thankful smile. He continued to gather the moss until he seemed to have all the moss back in a pile in front of his paws. My name is Bracken, by the way. I... Ah... Sorry again.
