Hi! I'm very sorry for using a guest account but I really don't wish to offend any of the roleplayers I rp with. So, how do you prevent a character from being flooded out of a thread by one-liners? Is there a posting order? Is it possible to block people from open threads so they don't take over every single thread you have? Sorry if I sound really passive aggressive, I'm just really frustrated. Thanks!

Hi there! This is a very understandable issue, so don't worry at all about sounding annoyed. When creating a thread, you can't expressly saw 'Anyone except Sparklypaw is allowed to post' as this would be considered rude, however, you are able to add 'Only open to characters Anonymity hasn't met before' or something of the sort. Since they are YOUR threads, you also have the option to set up criteria, though this isn't done too often. For example: 'Replies must be at least 1 paragraph' - To prevent 1-liners
If the same member is replying to all your opens, you can also ask them to remove themself from the thread, POLITELY, by explaining that you'd like to be able to interact with other members as well.
If you wanted an open thread, then of course you are allowed to set a posting order! Generally it goes without saying, as it's polite for each member to wait for each other, but sometimes actually setting it up in the thread works better. In the first post you make, simply include an OOC statement like: (Ok so since there are three of us in this thread, from now on we should post like: Sparklypaw, Anonymity, Zestypaw, in that order so no one gets left behind.)
If you're still getting flooded out, you can always come to staff for help. This comes down to manners and courtesy, so we hope you don't have any more problems with it in the future :3 If you're having actual problems with a member over this, please don't hesitate to contact a member of the staff team through PM as well.

Usually, if you make the thread, you can mention in OOC that you'd like a posting order. It can be strict, as in everybody needs to stick to their spot precisely… or loose, where it's okay if the order is occasionally broken, usually when one person hasn't responded for a while. If the thread's maker has requested a posting order, it is common courtesy to either stick to one or not join the thread in the first place. It's pretty rare that somebody joins all of another person's threads. I'm not sure why they'd want to do this, but you can get around it several different ways. Make an open thread, but specify that you'd like people who haven't met your character before to post! Have private threads with your friends or message somebody different to ask if they'd like a private thread! Or just have your threads open for only one other person… that way, even if the person you're having trouble with does decide to post, they won't be able to flood you out. I'm sorry this is happening to you. If you'd like a more blunt solution, message the person and kindly ask them to stop, or talk to a staffer instead and we can request that they follow the site's common courtesy. Hope this helps!
