Stardust's Den

I walked by a stream, the bank covered with soft cool moss. I looked back every few steps. My tail flows out behind me delicately in the light breeze. My heart shattered into a million peices. After walking along I came to the source of the stream it was surrond by thick brambles. I pushed my way through them into a large clearing. A lush graden filled with moss, flowers, huge sprawling willow trees, and at the heart a rock pile coverd in honey suckle and moss. On a closer inspection I found that it was an old badger's set. Sniffing near it I found out that it had been abandond long ago. I went down the tunnle and found the path smooth and cool. It opened into a cavern with walls that seemed to glow. The grownd was soft sand and at the rear there was a spring leading off into a deep river that grew smaller as it flowed under grownd. The spring where the water flowed into the stream was cool and refreshing in my parched mouth when I crouched down to lap up some water after I walked over to it. Looking around and I saw a cave leading somewhere. Going over to the cave I relized that it was across the stream. The swift flowing water looked dangerous but luckly there where stepping stones leading to the caves. Going back to the smallest den I knew it would be mine. I went outside and caught some prey and ate fast. I took the prey to the clearing then went to the large rock and streched out at the base being too small to leap to the top. I went outside of the den and sniffed around and found a bee's nest in one of the willows. I found some moss, feathers, and rosemary makeing a soft rosemary sented nest. I ate two poppy seeds to ease my pain. After cleaning my plet till it was soft and smooth I walked over to my nest and streatched out resting. I closed my eyes and cried softly. Hoping that nobody would find me.

Pain was my new best friend. Wisdnom shone in my green eyes well beond my years. Tears of sorrow sparkled down from my cheeks, the pain inside me was worse than the pain I felt when I saw my mothers dead body, or when I felt so alone that I jumped off a cliff, or the pain just before I died. It was a new pain, so unbarible I wished I could die all over agian. That is all I want, to die again. Or to live and be love on earth, in FireClan, my home.

I shrink into the shadows away from him my head turned sharply away. The tears wouldn't stop, they kept coming. Silver stars twinkled down from her eyes and splashed against the hard floor. "Hello Iceriver." my voice was cracked and broken, slightly strangled and strained.
