[Moonpaw]

(In honor of my long school days)

Moonpaw trotted up to the fresh-kill pile, her stomach growling in hunger. Her emotionless gaze settled on a large vole. She grabbed the vole and lied down, now biting into the warm prey. It was a rather boring day, practiced a few fighting moves, took a nap, nothing too special. She heard a voice and looked up, "What...?" She said in a grumpy and bored tone.

Dreamkit squealed as she hopped on Moonpaw's tail, batting at the twitching tail. She accidentally jumped into the fresh-kill pile, knocking prey everywhere.

The seasons were changing nicely in the woods and it made Asfhrost feel happy to feel the coolness touch his skin and brush through his pelt. He walked back into camp after a quick hunting trip where he only caught a bird and a vole. Just as he did, he saw a kit knock down the freshkill pile and an apprentice who looked slightly irritated. Trotting over he looked down at the kit. "What happened here?" He smiled,beginning to stack the freshkill back where it belonged. "Where we raided?" He laughed a bit and crouched down to see eye level with the kit. "I"m Ashfrost. What is your name?"

"I'm Dreamkit! Nice to meet you!" Dreamkit said exitedly. This cat was huge! She wanted to pretend Ashfrost was a Mountain Lion, because he was so large.

Ashfrost resisted to urge to laugh as the kit before him looked up at him with awe after announcing her name. She was probably shocked by his size; though not really large, he was a bigger cat, looking even bigger next to the tiny kit. His silvery eyes also added a but of a daunting effect to his demeanor as well but he pushed friendliness into them.  "Hey there," He smiled. "How has your day been?" He asked.  Ashfrost knew well how to handle kits. After all, he had had some of his own with her former mate, Petalfur. But she had recently left him and his life with his kits was a but scattered. But that didn't matter now. His focus was o the kit before him as a smile was plastered onto his face. He decided to have a good tim with this kit. Play with her and everything and pretend to return to the days of his kit-hood. He needed to remember.

"Good, other than destroying the fresh-kill pile." Dreamkit said, with a feather landing on her nose and sneezing.

Ashfrost as a last feather floated down onto Dreamkit's nose and she sneezed. This kit was so adorable! He laughed lightly at her and crouched down again. "How about we play a game? What do you like to play, Dreamkit?"

"Hmm... how about warriors?" Dreamkit said. She bounced around playfully, ready to jump on Ashfrost's paw.

Ashfrost smiled gently at the small kit and nodded. So he was going to play warriors again. Just like when he was little. The same childish delight flared into his chest. He had almost forgotten what the sweet feeling felt like. It had been so long. "I am an enemy to IceClan and I am going to evade. Are you going to let me or are you going to fight?"
