Sweetkit clawed the ground in anticipation. She had been waiting for this moment and it all came up to her chosen mentor. Her ears perked up as she heard the name Silvercloud her old friend! She made her way up to the older she cat and smiled."So, you'll have to put up with me more." She said.

Petalfur entered the clearing with mild anticipation. It had been a while since she had received an active apprentice, and the prospect had her on her toes. The young Bengal warrior could have leaped out of her fur in joy as her name was called to mentor a cat named Icepaw.
Petal had never met Icepaw, and so she approached as respectfully as she would any other cat. "You're Icepaw?" Petalfur asked to confirm, a smile on her cheeks. "I'm Petalfur. I'm excited to begin training." Dipping her head low, Petal attempted to touch noses with her new apprentice as custom has it.

Icekit was happy. She finally was an apprentice and she was going to become a warrior in the upcoming moons.
Icepaw saw Petalfur and smiled. "Yep im Icepaw. Im happy your my mentor. When will training start." She asked touching noses with the warrior.

Wolfpaw heard Mistpaw's name be called and he flicked his tail. "Way to go, idiot." of course his congratulations was a bit odd but he and Mistpaw quarreled often. |

Silvercloud sat around the edge of camp, listening intently to the ceremony. Her old friend, Sweetkit, was due for a ceremony any day now, and today just seemed like a good day. Smiling, she dipped her head in congratulations as Sweetkit became Sweetpaw. The kit definitely deserved it!
As she heard her name, she tilted her head to the side in surprise. Hmm... another one? I seem to have my paws full these days! Then again, both Brackenpaw and Viperpaw seem to have disappeared, or are at least ignoring me, so I suppose this isn't too much work.
In truth, she was highly excited to by mentoring her friend. It didn't mean that she would go easy on the apprentice though! Padding up, she touched her nose to her apprentice's and smiled again at Sweetpaw's comment.
"Indeed, and I've never felt so heartbroken in my life." She murmured jokingly. "Seriously though, I'm honoured to be training you. I'll make sure you're the best warrior you can be. We'll start training tomorrow, for now you can settle into your new den and hopefully make some new friends."
(I'll probably get the training thread up in about 24h. Timezone issues abound...)

"Shortly passed dawn tomorrow," Petalfur responded to her own apprentice. "Don't stay up too late; I believe I did that on my first night in the apprentice's den and I was quite the sleepy slug in the morning!" Smiling at the memories, Petal found herself certain that Icepaw, no matter how late she stayed up, would be as energetic and excited as any apprentice would be on the tour of the territory.
