The day hadn't started out with wandering, it simply ended up that way. Brasti's housefolk had people over, and some of this consisted of grubby hand kits, which made staying unpleasant. He wasn't good with housefolk kits, or kits in general for that matter. He couldn't stand his long orange fur nor could he stand his tail getting tugged in a rather irritating manner. So, he got up and left, heading down one of the near-by streets, through the park and now he was practically on the other side of the city. His housefolk wouldn't care much, since they knew that their little kitty would return sometime before the night settled in. Swiftly, the orange and white cat walked, his blue eyes glancing around the small town.
Fall wind tugged at his fur, but Brasti knew that housefolk kits tugged at his fur much worst. His paws padded on the empty concrete sidewalk. With no people around, it was pretty easy to move around without getting picked up or pat by careless hands. Eventually, Brasti decided it would be great to take a small break before turning back for home. He broke off from the sidewalk, walking into a small alleyway where he could sit for a few moments before heading home. He settled down, being accustomed to the dirt in the grubby alleyways from a year of being nothing more than a stray.
Naturally, his long tail came and wrapped around his paws, giving them warmth from the winds that tugged away. The tiny bell on his orange collar was silent due to lack of movement. Slowly, his blue eyes strayed upwards, looking at the fading clouds and the sun that was soon to go down. "I hope those kits are gone when I get home," Brasti mumbled. It wasn't really aimed at anyone, his words were mostly just a silent wish he hoped to have full-filled once he returned.

After staying in this area for a few days, Brissa had managed to settle into a somewhat daily routine, one that mostly consisted of wandering, meeting new cats, and hunting for food. Of course in no particular order. If she was bored she'd walk and have a little chat along the way. If she was hungry or itching to run, then she'd hunt. Currently she was merely walking around, weaving through the alleyways to who knows where. She never stayed in one place for long so it failed to concern her where she ended up. For once in her life it seemed rather, lonely around here. She heard the two legs chatting and laughing and fussing over new kits, wheat her they be feline or not. Deciding there was nothing else to do, she leapt effortlessly onto one of the fences and sat, licking her paw in effort to tease the growling beast below her. "What's the problem pup, cat got your tongue?" she purred teasingly, laughing as it yapped furiously at her and repetitively leapt at the fence. "Aww, poor babe, need some climbing lessons down there?" she suggested, standing and walking along the fence, her black and silver tail waving as she walked, bemused smile striking across her soft features.
"Get outta here ya good for nothin cat!" Brissa whipped her head around to see the dog headed inside and an old lady running at her with a broom. The she-cat gasped and let out an offended hiss. "Good for nothing? I think not!" she exclaimed sharply, hissing in her face before striking at her face with carefully sheathed claws and leaping down from the fence. Shaking out her trio-coloured fur and blinking her bright green eyes, she lets out a soft chuckle and trots down an alleyway, unaware of the fellow feline she now happened to be approaching.
(That edit of your cat is beautiful, by the way)

[ Oh, thank-you! ^^' ]
For the most part, Brasti had been enjoying his silent sitting in the damp and filthy alley-way. No one bothered him and no housefolk tried to pick him up. That was the one thing Brasti didn't like, when a housefolk would pick him up to return him back home. It was pointless since the tom always found his way home before nightfall. His blue eyes focused on the sky, taking note of the clouds and how their white bellies began to glow a light orange from the setting sun. For the most part, Brasti ignored the rest of his surroundings, since most of it had been the whistling of the steady breeze. Brasti sighed, getting to his paws to stretch his shoulders. For a moment, he had thought that staying out here was pointless, up until his ear twitched. His orange ear had managed to pick up the voice of some cat. Brasti's head whipped around, the bell jingling at his sudden movements. "Stupid bell," Brasti mumbled quietly to himself. He hated the bell's high pitched jingling, mostly because it gave away his position and made it nearly impossible for him to be silent.
Brasti brushed off the noise of his inferior bell, ignoring it to find out what was going on. His ears went erect, picking up the sound of a housefolk's hiss, which was unfortunately inaudible due to the wind. His blue eyes glanced up, just catching some mere glimpses of the commotion, which mostly consisted of a cat and an old lady. Brasti watched as the cat hissed and leaped off the fence, leaving the woman and her yappy dog. Brasti watched curiously, he hadn't yet gained the liberty to see a fellow feline in what seemed like forever. For the moment, Brasti just observed, watching as the other cat shook out her pelt and trotted his way. She was approaching him, and Brasti simply watched, presuming that she knew he was there, but that shortly seemed unlikely. Brasti backed up a bit, mostly to make sure that he didn't get walked into. He doubted that the she-cat would walk into him at all, but he preferred to have caution. "Excuse me, but what was that all about?" Brasti asked, mostly out of curiosity. His blue eyes glanced back at the sun, seeing that the sun hadn't moved from its' position. He shrugged, figuring he had plenty of time to weave his way through town and back home. His attention then focused on the she-cat, slight curiosity glinting in his blue eyes.

A slight jingling. Must be some sort of kitty pet. Brissa, having decided to merely shrug it off, the she-cat continued to approach the other cat, of whom she was yet to discover. Her green eyes gazed distractedly up at the sky for a moment, taking in the patterns the fluffy white clouds formed, smiling absentmindedly at them. It was quite pleasant around here, she might just find herself living here after all. No. Never stay, always keep moving.
The silver and black feline startled slightly, her eyes blinking at the sound of an unfamiliar voice. so that's where the bell was coming from she confirmed to herself, peering curiously at the ginger, smirking slightly at his collar and kitty-pet bell. "Well, kitty pet. It seems me and that little dog have this, rivalry going. And that two-leg just so happens to, dislike me. I suppose." she continued smirking at the Tom, circling him once before sitting down, absently flicking her black and silver tail. "Why do you ask?"

Brasti simply watched as the she-cat walked, her head facing upwards towards the sky and a smile upon her face. A slight sigh of annoyance escaped Brasti's mouth as the she-cat got startled by his words. Being ignored wasn't the issue necessarily, but Brasti didn't like the idea of being bumped into by some she-cat who had decided to waltz out of the alleyway behind him. That was when the she-cat smirked and immediately referred to him as a kitty-pet. Brasti was familiar with the term, and hated to be called such, since the term was a rather rude to term to call a house-cat.
His eyes watched as the silver, black and white she-cat circled him, his ears listening. The slight glint of anger could be seen in his eyes, but Brasti did his best not to snap at the she-cat for calling him a kitty-pet. She used another term, that being two-leg which he could easily guess was the old lady who had ran outside with the broom. After a few moments, the she-cat asked why he had said such a question. "I heard the noise if you couldn't tell. Besides are kitty-pets forbidden for wondering, Miss Stray?" Brasti answered, putting a slight emphasis on the word kitty-pet. Brasti remained standing, deciding that he would prefer not to sit down. While he waited for an answer, his mind began to think of a multitude of different and rude retorts he could use the label the she-cat. Sure, that was rather childish, but Brasti wanted a few names just in case she decided to think of one for him.

(I'm plotting with my darling Brissa here and was looking for a father for her near future kits. Are you interested? I'm just asking around, I'm not fussed if you decline though Brissa pricked her ears curiously and listened to his words, noticing the hint of anger behind his hard spoken words. Let's see, push him further, of reign it back a little. How about a name first. "Alright, let's make it house cat then shall we? Might you have a name that I could refer to you as by any chance, as I see that kitty-pet is not really an option in your mind." she allowed a teasing purr, though her smirk still remained fixed to her face, her tail curling. "If you would like to, you may call me Brissa, though names like 'stray' or anything else doesn't effect me much. Just name me as you see fit." her smirk morphed into a smile, though still more teasing and fun loving than anything. Her green eyes peered at the ginger Tom again before attempting to catch his own gaze. "Why of course dear, we may all wonder as we please, I have not any complaints, just mere curiosity. And if that is what you which to refer to me as, the please, feel free." her smirk just so happened to have returned now, though barely noticeable. "Please, do not allow me to restrain you in any way, I'm not of any importance to anyone as of now. In fact I could leave if it pleases you, sir, I'd hate to impose.
(She seems rude, yet like she's trying to fix it and going about it the wrong way. Who knows with her?)

[ That does sound interesting, but I will have to declined seeing as Brasti is a very new character and I would prefer if he didn't have kits until he is older. And yeah, while Brasti is just being that short-tempered guy. xD ]
Brasti could tell the she-cat had noticed that he wasn't pleased with the title 'kitty-pet'. It was rather obvious considering the she-cat seemed to change her tune a bit afterwards. This made Brasti feel rather horrible about the thoughts that had ran through his head, but he didn't let it show. At least he hadn't said any of them out-loud and ended up receiving foul treatment. Brasti ignored the previous thoughts he had, letting the she-cat introduce herself. Quickly, Brasti lifted his right paw and licked it, brushing down a small tuft of fur. He glanced up as the time came for him to introduce himself to the she-cat, who was known as Brissa.
"I'm Brasti, and yes I would much rather prefer house-cat over kitty-pet any day." Brasti meowed, his paw lowered back to the ground and his whiskers twitching slightly. When Brissa green eyes peered at him, he simply met them, mostly because he would have no reason to avoid her eyes. Brasti kept his eyes leveled and his ears pricked to the cat's words, letting her answer his rhetorical question. If this she-cat was planning to be kind in some way, Brasti had no plans to stop her. When she spoke about leaving, Brasti simply shrugged. "In all honesty, as long as you don't refer to me as that... lets say rude title I couldn't care less." Brasti explained simply, his tone being rather neutral at this point.
Brasti shortly decided it was best that he continued the conversation with another question. "So, is it fun to mess with that dog, or what?" Brasti asked, curious about what a dog was so alluring to this she-cat. Was it simply the idea of taunting the beast for all the times it chased helpless felines, or was it simply for the sake of her rivalry with it?

(Fair enough, that's fine by me. Your charrie is pretty cool by the way) Brissa flicked her ears slightly, still remaining seated before the tom cat as the end of her tail rises and falls, thudding quietly against the damp concrete ground of the alleyway. Her nose twitched slightly as familiar smell hit her, but she decided to pass it off as it was too faint to worry about, or even notice really, though she was always alert due to her mother being an outlaw. She didn't know much about her father, but that was something for another time, not right now.
The she-cat's ears swivelled toward the Tom once more as he gave her his name. Brasti. "Brasti it is then. And I do understand the preference of house cat, however it is a newer term to me as mother always referred to house cats as kitty pets. I never really understood why but didn't ever get the chance to question it." The tortoiseshell tilted her head on one side, her whiskers twitching slightly. Her deep green eyes blink at him curiously before she decides to speak, never being afraid to speak her mind. "If I may, why stay with the twolegs? Why not roam free or join one of those famous clan's?" she personally had never considered joining a clan as an option merely due to her mother, though now that she thought about it...
Another question was asked of her, and she allowed herself to smile as Brasti didn't look away like most do. The dog. Why did she tease the dog? For fun? Revenge for all those cats it chased? To annoy that twoleg elder? She wasn't really sure. "I think it's a game" she responded, slightly unsure what it was really. "I tease it from the fence, and sometimes I'll let it chase me. Once the twoleg wasn't home and it chased me into the house and cornered me. All it did was tackle me and try to lick me like a little kit. It was gross, but harmless. And I'll admit it was kind of cute, seeing as it's actually only a baby." she smiled at the thought of the fact that the happy little dog was just a kit. How big would it get? That was the only thing that worried her, not much though. "I've seen a twoleg leave a cat behind once and not come back, I sometimes worry that the twoleg may not come back for that puppy, so when she heads out I keep him company. She doesn't like it though, as you may have noticed earlier." Brissa chuckled slightly at this, and though she'd never admit it, she found herself quite fond of her little friend. She stared idly at his fence and smiled absentmindedly, he'd be inside for now, but she could say hello when he was let out for his food. He didn't seem to mind sharing with the slim stray at all.
(huh, not bad muse today. Probably will visit the dog again in this thread)

[ Heh, thanks. I got muse for him from a book character, hence the text in his image and his name origin. And that's completely fine by me. ]
Brasti nodded at Brissa's reason for using the ruder term kitty-pet rather than the kinder term, house-cat. It was a sensible reason, seeing as most would stick to what they were familiar with. However, when the word mother was mentioned, Brasti's mind began to wander to the thoughts of his own mother. She had only been a kindly strayed names Lilac, but he had taken care of him and gave him his first name. Fritz, he wasn't sure why he had abandoned the name for his current one, but he could only presume it was from hearing Brasti so much. He soon shoved the thoughts away, there was no need to be thinking of such things in the presence of his new acquaintance.
Once this was accomplished, the question on why he stayed with twolegs swung his way. "Well, my housefolk, or twolegs as you call them, are elderly. The least I could do is spend time with them until they pass on. Besides, no harm in it." Brasti answered, deciding it was best to be completely honest. Besides, the concept seemed thoughtful, and almost kind in a way that would hopefully not give him a bad reputation before he reverted back to the life of a stray. After he answered her question, she answered his, stating the reasons on why he teased the small dog.
Hearing the very reason made Brasti feel a little bad about his rude greeting, mostly because it seemed Brissa was actually very kind. Sure, she had hissed at the elderly housefolk, but it seemed as though she meant no harm. "Wow, sounds like a very nice dog. Most dogs I've, err met, have only wanted to chase me down and rip me to shreds." Brasti responded, trying his best to make up for his rude introduction. He spared a sideways glance at the fence, curious about the little puppy on the other side. He then chuckled when he remembered the old housefolk himself and how she had brought a broom out to shoo the scary cat away from her precious dog.
"I could see and hear it." Brasti meowed, stating the obvious. He watched the fence for a few more seconds before focusing his attention back on Brissa. "Has that housefolk ever caught you? Like I mean hit you with the broom or something?" Brasti asked, once again curious about the fence and the housefolk inside. Besides, this could all very well lead to a funny story.

Brissa flicked her tail and nodded in understanding, that did make sense to stick around until they passed on, just keep them company for the rest of their days. She felt sorry now, for being so rude. She truly hadn't meant it, it was merely her outward persona. She now found herself to be liking this cat, her reminded her of when she first met Dusty. She had ought to visit him soon, but it would have to wait a day or so. Or at least for now as her mate was not who she should be focused on in the presence of another. Smiling slightly she returned her attention to the Tom. "That is what I worry about for him" she murmured, sparing a glance at the pup, who let out a yap as she glanced his way. Looking back she sighed, "I just don't want him to be alone if she passes while he's still young. He's barely eating solid food at the moment, but he must as his mother passed not long ago. She was a kind soul, good friend actually" she purred at the memory of pup's mother, remembering the times she used to lay on the porch with her, watching the newborn stumble around on the grass. But that also was a thought for later.
Brissa nodded in response. "He is" she agreed with a purr, watching as the lady exits the house and calls him to her side, laughing as he bounds quickly towards her, bouncing up at her legs. "He's the only reason I have yet to move on. My only sense of purpose now" her voice was soft and gentle as she spoke of the young pup, watching as the lady called out a command, causing him to sit, still wagging his tail as she drives away in her car, hopping out momentarily to close the gate behind her before leaving. "Ah, she did once. Not hard though, I swatted back at it and she dropped it. Me and his mum had a good laugh over it when I next came over." she let out a soft purr before glancing at the retreating monster. The minute the woman was out of sight, the puppy ran to the fence and let out a slight whimper like cry. Hearing the call with pricked ears she let out a bemused purr. "Guess that's my queue!" she laughed before trotting over toward the fence, jumping on top in a graceful leap. "Coming?" she asks questioning lay, balancing carefully on the fence in order to look back at Brasti, before landing on the other side to be bombarded with puppy licks.

Brasti knew that the day would come, the day when his housefolk would leave him and he would be a stray once more. However, he would be expecting it, while the poor pup on the other side of the fence could get blind-sided by the very idea. Brasti glanced at the fence again as Brissa stated her worried for the little pup. His ears remained pricked as the she-cat spoke about the pup's mother and how she was kind. It interested the orange and white tom to hear about the kind dog.
"Interesting, you have seem to have made a lot of canine friends. If only all dogs were like your friends, eh? There would be a lot less running for us cats." Brasti chuckled at the thought of big dogs running up only to lick him. The big slobbery creatures probably wouldn't be nearly as menacing if they just offered up a good lick until their owners dragged them away or their victim had escaped. The she-cat then mentioned how the pup was the only thing that truly bound her to this place. It was rather strange for him to realize that they had something in common, they were both tied here because they cared about someone or something else.
The very thought amused Brasti, and even managed to put a slight smile upon his face. When he had left his home earlier, he hadn't expected to meet someone entirely and now he was sitting here with Brissa. His tail flicked a little bit, mostly in amusement over the conversation. For the most part, Brasti was just happy that the rude greeting had been forgotten and not brought up again. Brasti chuckled at the story, he could just imagine the surprised look on the old housefolk's face as Brissa fought back, even after being hit with the broom.
Brasti was about to say something, when a whimpered echoed from the other side of the fence. His eyes trailed back towards the fence, and watched as Brissa entered into his view. She stated that it was queue, but once she was on the fence she had taken a few moments to ask Brasti if he was coming. His bright blue eyes spared a glance at the sun, seeing that it wasn't too late. With that, he stood to his paws and began to trot over. "Yep," he answered simply. He watched as Brissa disappeared onto the other side, leaving him alone with the fence.
To most, this wasn't something that would be a big bother, but to a poor cat who had a slight fear of heights it was. The tom took a deep breath, then with his powerful legs, leaped upwards and landed on top the fence. His blue eyes immediately caught sight of Brissa, seeing that she was preoccupied with an attack of puppy licks. Brasti couldn't help, but to smile and release a quiet laugh. Once he felt like he was balanced on the fence, he jumped down cautiously. Naturally, he landed without fault, seeing as he had careful jumped over his own fence an abundance of times. However, he could never forget the day he had fallen out of a tree. The last thing the tom wanted was for that fall to reoccur, but get badly hurt, making him cautious when dealing with heights. For the time being, Brasti shoved the very thought away and waiting to find out what exactly would happen next.
[ Sorry if this isn't the best, I have a bad feeling some of my brain melted sometime during or before this. ^^' ]

(Hah, Aster fell out of a tree too! But she fell out of a tree into a river and then got fished out by Robinstar. All she had to say though was, 'note to self, learn how to swim.' Strange kitty.)
Brissa pricked her ears for the tom's response of, 'yep' before laughing as the joyful little puppy-who happened to be not much smaller than her-began licking her all over, his tail wagging back and forth like a propeller before he tackled her to the ground so that she lay on her side as he rasped his pink little tongue across her face. Extending a careful white paw, the she-cat pushed his nose away just long enough to see Brasti jump down very carefully from the fence. She'd spotted him smile at her while he gained his balance, yet he did seem slightly hesitant up there. Maybe something that happened in the past? Of course she had not time to question it as the puppy refused to stop for long, back to licking her, pinning her down on her back. "Hey Brasti, little help?" she asked innocently, her words hinting her happiness to be with the pup however as she continued to laugh at his antics. "Get off me you big lump" she scolded him, still continuing to laugh as she did so. Twitching an ear that flicked him in the face as he tried to fold it back with his tongue. "Hey, your heavy!" she pointed out, attempting to push his nose away again but failing miserably. Of course the pup failed to take her seriously as she was still laughing at the dorky look on his face.

[ Neat! ^^' Brasti didn't fall out of one in a thread so I have no story for his. x3 ]
The fresh grass under Brasti's paws felt a lot better than the rough cement of the sidewalk. His blue eyes watched as Brissa was still under attack by the pup and his many licks. When Brissa innocently asked for help, her words teeming with joy as she did so, Brasti chuckled. "What should I do?" Brasti asked, having absolutely no clue what to do about the pup "attacking" Brissa. Brasti watched as Brissa tried to stop her friend from drowning her in affectionate licking. That seemed to go on for a while longer, until Brissa managed to scold the pup and get him to stop.
There seemed to only be a brief pause, since the pup didn't take her seriously. With one last chuckle, Brasti trotted up beside the pup, putting a tail gently on the pup's shoulder to hopefully get some attention. "I think she has had enough of a bath today. Beside, I think you won." Brasti meowed, feeling rather amused at the small joke he had made. In all honesty, the pup had to have won this "lick" war.

A laugh rung out from Brissa as he questioned he for a suggestion of how to stop the puppy in his licking. She shrugs and laughs almost hysterically as the young dog continues with his 'attack' as most would call it. Suddenly the licking stops and she hear's the voice of her accompanying cat. Oh, bath eh? That gave her an idea. "Thanks Brasti! You just gave me an idea!" she purrs happily as the puppy momentarily tries to 'eat' the tail upon his back. Her own tail gracefully brushes against the faces of both males as she spun away from the two and rocketed around the back of the house. It was getting nearer to sundown, however it was still blazing hot and being that she quite liked water, she knew exactly where she was going. Nice around the back of the house, puppy hot on her heels, she grins back at him before bounding onto the middle step of the ladder and leaping into the cooling water of the outdoor pool. Boding her head above the surface, she moved out of the way just in time for the pup as he landed beside her in the water, swimming quite strongly thanks to her 'lessons' or more as she like to call it 'bath time sessions.'
(She'll be joining Tree with her mate, but she loves fishing and swimming too.)

[ Interesting. I'm guessing this is the person who agreed to the kit plot. And once again very interesting, Brasti knows how to swim, but he doesn't like it too much. Also, sorry for the slight lateness, been a little busy, plus I pulled a muscle because I was sweeping so much during this curling event, which in turn made me lazy. ^^' ]
Brasti's ears straightened up at the sound of Brissa's joyous laughter from the many licks of the pup. After his small words, Brissa stated that she had an idea. With much elegance, her tail swept across Brasti's face, causing him to close his eyes for a split second. Once his blue eyes opened, he watched as the grey and white she-cat bolted around the house, leaving Brasti and the pup. He hesitated, but soon enough watched as the pup began to followed his friend, his legs carrying him as fast as they could. It didn't take long for Brasti to realize he was being left in the dust, and so he quickly began to give chase.
The tom's powerful legs caused him to sail across the grass and around the house. Slowly, Brasti began to gain ground on the pair of speeding animals. Once Brasti rounded the corner, he watched as Brissa leaped into the water, a small splash in her wake. Brasti halted at the edge of the pool, glancing into the clear waters. Staring back at him was a small, distorted reflection of his face. His head glanced back up to see Brissa's head bob out of the water. Brasti took a small step back from the pool. "Um, I think I would rather watch, my housefolk won't be too pleased if I return sobbing wet and filthy." Brasti chuckled.
With that, Brasti sat at the edge of the pool to watch for the time being. The last thing he wanted was for his pelt to feel heavy from water and get quite the lecture from his housefolk. His tail drifted towards his paws, wrapping around them for a little warmth on the rather warm night.
