Illumni's body rippled with movement as he stalked through the underbrush. His entire body was buzzing with excitement, though he had absolutely no idea why. Sometimes he was simply struck with this tingly feeling that made him want to simply shiver and laugh. Most of the time he did so, and earned some delicious concerned looks. Otherwise, he just spend some time alone, running off his energy. Without anything useful to be plugging it into as of yet, there was nothing else to be done for it.
The Mexican wolf snapped at every passing leaf that hung over his chosen path, boredom finding amusement in the action. Spitting out a mouthful, Illumni let out a laugh and stopped, suddenly too bored to move. Flopping down, the male sighed, mood completely shifted.
"Well that didn't last long."

Kiska didn't really feel much of anything today, other than a sense of purpose, something driving her out of Artemis Scouts lands. It was for that reason that she was slinking along the woodlands just outside her pack's lands. Something caught her eye among the shrubs. Turning, Kiska spotted another wolf, probably not affiliated to a pack by the scent of him. He looked to be snapping at random leaves along the path, whilst his body was almost shaking. Is this wolf crazy, or simply hyper today? Shrugging, Kiska followed after the wolf, stalking him for a distance. After all, with this wolf so close to her pack's lands, the assassin almost had a responsibility to follow him, past her curiosity. The moment she had gotten used to this wolf's strange pattern of movement, however, he seemed much inclined to stop it. He let out a laugh and flopped down, muttering about something not lasting. Curiosity further piqued, Kiska decided to reveal herself, stepping out of the underbrush with a rustle. Presenting herself in front of the other wolf, she carefully kept a neutral stance, ready to fight if need be, but happy to have peace if the other wolf was so inclined. "Hello there. You do seem excited today. I'm Kiska."

He'd been aware of some stranger dogging his steps for a while, but hadn't actually brought himself to care. Whatever it was, it had meat on it, and he could eat it. So as long as it kept following him, it was doing half the hunt for him. Because of this, when he finally decided to stop and rest to see if the disturbance would keep approaching, he was disappointed to find it was a wolf. Perhaps it was a mistake not using his nose after all. Still, he wasn't one to turn down a free meal, and tilted his head appraisingly. "Well, you could work. A bit too skinny to fill me up for long though," he murmured, shooting the female an accusing glance.
Standing up, the dappled wolf stretched out his long legs before glancing at the curious female. She didn't seem incredibly inclined to attacking, but she had been stalking him for quite some while. Perhaps she had a crush on him. How gross. "It's not very fun, playing hide-and-seek alone," Illumni finally answered, finding nothing interesting in the female's words to respond to. "You were following me. Am I that attractive, or do you have no life?"

Kiska sighed as the other wolf appraised her, seeming to almost want to eat her. Contrary to expectations, it wasn't a particularly new concept to Kiska. The she-wolf had done and seen vaguely horrifying things in her time out of a pack, and this, this barely even made the list. Still, she sincerely hoped that the other wolf was joking. It wasn't too pleasant to be eaten. Or so she assumed. "Not my fault, that. And I'll warn you first, wolf meat tastes horrid." It was perfectly true, if a little exaggerated. When you're hungry, everything tastes like heaven. At the wolf's second rejoinder, she simply shrugged. This wolf was attractive, but not particularly so. Definitely not more so than any she could find in her pack. "Bit of both really. Your face isn't too pretty, and it isn't as if I have anything better to do. More importantly, why are you so near Artemis Scouts' lands?" She asked the question both out of a simple curiosity and a deeper wariness. She had to protect her pack at all costs.
(Aaaand, I completely forgot about this thread. So sorry!)

Illumni sI get it. I get it. Just so you know, if the king ever asks me to put on a dress and dance the remigold, I'm drawing the line.ed and tilted his head. "Well I'll take your word for it," he replied sardonically. Was she really that interested in keeping her flesh un-chewed, or had she been speaking from experience? If he'd cared enough, he probably would have asked. But the topic had passed him by and he didn't see any more reason to pick it up before it sailed away.
"Oh the woes of being ugly," he sighed, dropping his head in defeat. The female's straightforward nature seemed far too honest, in his opinion. Meaning she was either acting, or honestly didn't perceive him as a threat to her supposed 'Pack'. He could smell them on her, just as he had scented their border a few miles back and ignored it. "I wanted to walk here, and so I am. Rest assured, if I wanted to walk upon Artemis Scout lands, that is where you would have found me. I don't make a habit of being places I don't wish to be." He replied confidently, regarding the female with a tip of his head. What would it take for her to perceive him as an actual threat, he wondered. Not that battle seemed very thrilling, he was a hunter, and was in no way suited for strenuous battle. It was gross.
- Hahaha it's ok ^.^ -

Kiska smiled a little at the wolf. It was a dangerous smile though, showing her utter distaste for such matters. "Indeed. Still, I would like to wonder. What are you doing here, so close to pack lands? It's unusual, to say the least, to find an unattached wolf. Why aren't you in a pack." In truth, Kiska was simply asking for the fun of it. She could certainly understand the lure of being out of a pack. The freedom, the joy to do whatever one wanted without needing to return. But she believed that the family a pack gave, the reliability, was something worth sacrificing her freedom for. After all, she had experienced life as a lone wolf, and it wasn't pretty. Being an assassin here, able to do what she loved but stay in her pack, now that was true beauty. But she wouldn't speak for others. It was good for her, but for this other wolf? It was for him to decide.
