Enjoy the butterflies of Winter Snowjay froze as she re-entered Iceclan territory for the first time in moons. The scent was the same, and it would have brought her comfort, but there was another scent hanging around underneath it that made her cautious. She was pretty far up the border, what reason could anyone else have to be around here?
The she-cat lowered into a crouch and unsheathed her claws. She'd spent too long trying to get home to be stopped now. "Show yourself!" Notes template by Sammy @ Adox 2.0

Coyotecall heard the voice he'd been sliiiightly following. Okay he was coming here to join but he had discovered someone heading the same way along his travel. It'd caught his interest and he had decided to tail them. Coyotecall snorted when she addressed him. He was smirking slightly but obviously since he had yet to make himself visible, she didn't need to know that. He changed his expression and seemed a bit more welcoming when he padded out of where he was keeping hidden.
"Ah, seems I've been caught. Shame, shame, shame." He shook his head, seemingly disappointed in himself. "Hello, friend." He greeted with a grin and a flick of his long tail. "Heading this way too, huh?"

Enjoy the butterflies of Winter Snowjay's fur was still ruffling slightly at the male approached. She wasn't sure how long he'd been following her, but it had taken her too long to notice him. "Why bother coming out? You'd have a much cleaner angle hitting me from behind." She murmured, rounding the male suspiciously. She did sheathe her claws though, since the male wasn't apparently a great threat. "What's it to you?"

"Haha, why not?" He flicked his tail. "I have no reason to fight with you, unless you plan on giving me one." The spotted tomcat yawned, flicking his tail. "Why should I fight when I have no need?" He cocked his head. "You say you're heading the same way then, eh..?"
He rolled his eyes. "Wow, back up the 'ttude there. Just asking because if you're heading the same way, I may as well join you. I've got family in this place I'm headed. IceClan, it's called, isn't it?"

Enjoy the butterflies of Winter Well, she hadn't been expecting that. Traveling alone for as long as she had, Snowjay had developed a rather defensive aura. It blanketed her normally playful persona, but hopefully clan life would help her relax a little again. "You're not going to fight me? That's a first," she muttered skeptically, though the tabby and white she-cat fully settled her fur.
"You'd travel with a she-cat with.....'tude?" Snowjay asked, swallowing her amusement. "That's right, I'm heading to Iceclan. Though I'm sure most of the family I had there is long dead by now." Since the tom had proven to not be a threat, she fanned her tail to invite him beside her. "Might as well go together. But if you try to kill me, I wont hold back."

"A first, eh? Mm.. Odd." He hadn't quite figured she'd be hassled by other cats during her journey here. At least.. he hadn't been hassled himself. "Maybe I can tame the 'tude, who knows." He snickered lightly and gave a slight toothy grin. "I'm kidding, don't get your tail in a twist." He raised a 'brow'. Well.. That was sort of depressing.
"Ooh, ouch." He replied in regards to the whole family scenario. "That kills- I MEAN.. BITES.. Aw shoot wow those were indirectly unintentionally terrible puns.. of some sort. That blows. Dead family isn't exactly a good thing, to be frank."
At her remark he snorted and rolled his eyes. "And I, you."

"Odd?" Snowjay repeated in surprise. Was he really so surprised by the notion of loners being attacked over food and turf. He was either oblivious or lucky, and by his disposition shed guess both. She almost bristled at the taming comment, but considering she was too proud to consider herself tameable, she let it slide. "We'll just see about that."
"I hope your paws are more graceful than your tongue," she finally laughed, shocked by the tom's apparent lack of tact. Well at least he was trying? "It's not like I ever knew them, just their stories. Dawn light was killed by a dog pack, Leafheart by a fix. Silvermoon was....something to do with Darkpool I think." She found the gruesome stories more interesting than the relatives themselves.
Smiling at his promise, she nodded. "I'm Snowjay. So, are you looking forward to this family reunion thing?"

"That I am, 'mam." He gave a small bow, dipping his head. "I'm like a graceful swan meets tiger. I'm like their love-child." Of course he was merely kidding. He was obviously not a swan nor a tiger. He was really not too graceful for that matter either."
Upon the stories of the dog and Darkpool he blinked and cocked his head. "Looks like you've got it 'ruff. But you seem fairly okay about it. That's the spirit." Obviously he hadn't been done with the puns. "Haha, I'm sorry. Okay, okay. It's all outta me now." He heaved a dramatic sigh.
"Name's Corin. 'Though not sure if that's staying that way or not. Also not entirely. I just think Clan life would be a little better for me than what was given to me in loner territory. Seems my pops and I both have daddy issues. With our adopted parents, that is."

Enjoy the butterflies of Winter At his apparent confidence she rolled her eyes good-naturedly. A swan and a tiger, huh? Well she'd believe that when she saw it. For the first time Snow wished she had a grumpier personality, because there was a part of her that was sure she should be getting offended at those puns. Well she was offended, but only because they were terrible, not because he was poking fun at the death of her family.
"Right, sure it's out of your system? Forgive me if I don't believe you." The she-cat grimaced, as if physically pained by the terrible wordplay. "I'm honestly shocked you've surprised this long without anyone killing you out of sheer annoyance." Snowjay admitted, glancing at Corin with a small smile. At least his name wasn't a surprise, it was a rather typical loner thing he had going on. She, with a clan name already, was a little different.
"Daddy issues? You and my brother could write a book on that subject I bet. A long, boring, angst-filled book."

"You're entirely right. It probably isn't." She joked how she was surprised he hadn't been killed because of people becoming irritated and he just laughed. "Ha! Sweetie I'm a riot. People love me. I'm just a good time. Maybe some cats just can't seem to appreciate that." He gave a toothy grin. "If I change my name well, I'd take whatever the old man gives me. He's surprisingly old, have you heard? Old for a deputy, I'd think." He snorted, laughing once again at his own remark. n "Oh, why? Hmm.. Maybe daddy issues aren't as uncommon as I think they are. Lots of this place are probably Half-Clanners. I've heard strange rumours the she-cats who have kits here, hardly ever tell of the fathers. Yikes that's got to make for awkward dinner talk."

Enjoy the butterflies of Winter She was skeptical of course, and there was something about him as well. Corin seemed too happy, and it made her curious as to what he'd be like if he showed her anger, or some other real emotion. She couldn't count this incredibly flippant attitude. "Or maybe they just get so distracted by your blabbing they forget to kill you. Do you ever stop?" She asked, incredulous. She didn't exactly mind the constant blabbing, but she was a little unsure where the tom currently stood. Was this what he was truly like all the time, or was he taking her for a fool?
"Doesn't sound like much has changed from my time. Females like to hop across the border then hop back with kits. A lot of them have forgotten what a clan is supposed to be."
