What gave him the courage to go trampling through Twolegplace just to see her? He was a TreeClanner. He didn't belong so close to roaring monsters and angry dogs, it just didn't feel right to him. But he had promised to see her again at the park, and Duststorm was not one to break any promises.
Brushing up against a tree and staying clear away from the Twoleg paths, Dust's golden firefly eyes searched the area. @lyria. he thought, feeling a small smile dance across his features. It seems like forever since I've last seen her....
He heard a sound, like that of a crushed leaf, and flicked an ear in that direction. "Brissa?"

A teasing smirk danced across the she-cat's features as her little puppy friend bounded up to her, suffocating her with sloppy licks. A purr rumbled throughout her slim physique as she gave the young one a gentle swat on the muzzle with an expertly sheathed paw. Her let out a small whimper like whine of disappointment, before returning to his former bouncing and tail wagging. "Alright little one. I have to go now, and I may not be living here anymore." the puppy stopped wriggling and whined, pushing his head into her. "Alright! Alright! I promise I'll visit, but I can't have my kits here, so I have to go to there father instead." Once the feline was sure the puppy understood, she jumped carefully onto the fence, offering one last wave good bye of her tail before disappearing on the other side.
Blinking back a slight tear, Brissa settled into a steady walk along the well worn track on the way to the park, jumping small puddles on the way. She couldn't wait to see Duststorm again. It wasn't far to the park, yet she made sure to keep to a steady pace. Ive had to many leave me, I hope this news won't cause him to do so too she sighed to herself. She almost considered turning back as she saw him waiting. Her hesitation to tell him caused her to turn, but a misplaced paw decided otherwise. A loud crunch of a leaf echoed, before her name reached her ears and she told herself it was the right thing to do. Allowing a smile to grace her features, she approached the Tom, slightly hesitant, and nuzzled his neck. "It's great to see you again" she purred sweetly, glad her slightly swollen belly wasn't noticeable yet, especially at night.

Duststorm visually brightened as he realized it was her. Brissa's teasing green eyes and sweet voice made the silver tabby purr, while her touch felt so soft and calming. He leaned towards her, taking in her scent, finding the smell of a dog and a Twoleg nest not bothering him. I wonder if she'll want to come live in TreeClan now. the warrior thought, meeting her green eyes with his golden ones. I... I love her. I mentioned something last time, but I would never take her from her home.
"It seems like it's been so long since I've seen you, Brissa." the tomcat murmured, reaching forward to give her cheek a soft lick. "Are you doing alright? Getting enough food?" For a moment, a memory of a familiar gray she-cat popped into Dust's head. But he shook it away at once. He couldn't think about her when Brissa was right in front of him. That just didn't seem right.

Brissa noticed her seemed to brighten, shining like a radiant light in a dark alley, as she approached him, and she couldn't help but do so too. A gentle purr rumbles in her white furred chest and her gaze softens, not a single hint of her trademark teasing look within the swirling green depths. As the tom's tongue gently grazes her cheek, she blinks lovingly at him and returns the affectionate gesture. He was right, it did feel like so long. "We can't keep meeting like this..." she murmurs, meeting his gaze, those two eyes that reminded her so much of the fireflies she used to see as a kit. A bittersweet moment in her life. Something she still hadn't gained the courage to venture into with him. When the time is right... she tells herself silently. "So..." the trio coloured she-cat continues, keeping her gaze locked to his as her smile widens suddenly. "I have decided to come with you."
Well, that wasn't really the announcement she needed to tell him, was it? What was she so damn afraid of? She was supposed to be some wonderfully brave cat, and here she was not even able to tell the love of her life that he was to be a father. Unnoticed to herself, her smile had turned to a hesitant from, and her gaze had fallen away from his. She let out a sigh. "Dusty..." she murmurs softly, her eyes focused on the patterns of the earth elbow. "I...I have to...." she broke off and sucked in a breath. Just say it! she mentally scolds herself. "I have to tell you something..." coward! she screams silently at herself.

"We can't keep meeting like this." The words made Duststorm's heart freeze. Why couldn't they meet? Was there something wrong with this? As his thoughts began to race in puzzlement, Brissa went on to explain, and then his firefly golden eyes widened in realization. Her smile seemed so bright and happy, the tabby couldn't help but return her expression with a twin grin. "R-really?" he replied with a bit more enthusiasm than intended. Though he swallowed after a moment, and couldn't help but ask. "Are you sure? What about your Twolegs--and you mentioned a dog, too. You'll be leaving them behind... are you sure you want to just for me?" He wanted her to come--he'd be lying if he said he didn't. But Dusty couldn't take Brissa from her home. Not if she still held some feeling to stay. He wouldn't force her into anything like that.
Brissa's smile faltered and she turned her beautiful green eyes to the ground. Dusty couldn't help but grow worried at that, and step closer to press against her. What does she have to tell me? he was puzzled and nervous for the answer. "Okay, I'm listening, Brissa...." he murmured softly, leaning up to press his muzzle against her ear. "I promise, whatever it is, I won't get mad. So don't look so worried, okay?"

(For Duststorm) The she-cat wondered, running reactions through her head, but as he failed to respond she looked at him and saw him smiling too. At the mention of two legs and her puppy friend she frowned slightly in confusion at the mention. "I don't have any two legs" she clarified with an amused purr. "I merely live in a den they abandoned. Great condition actually, wonder why they left it. Maybe it's 'haunted'" a mock terrified look spread across her face as she spoke of these supposed ghosts that lived within her temporary den. "As for my little puppy friend, he's almost grown now so if the old twoleg left then he could fend for himself. I also promised I'd visit him." she purred at the thought of the once goofy puppy that was now older and much bigger than her. Man they grow quick! Brissa noticed his smile faulted from the corner of her eye and decided it was best to just suck it up and say it. As he promised he wouldn't be mad or upset it gave her drive to continue and she nodded. Giving him a gentle lick she moved toward him so his ear was against her side. She stayed perfectly silent and knew from experience with another she-cat she met that he'd be able to hear them. she found it easier than simply telling him. "They're yours" she assured him carefully before looking into his eyes and re-phrasing "Ours"(I don't know, just felt like it..)

Duststorm listened to Brissa's words with an interested expression, before nodding slowly in understand. "I... I guess I'll be bringing you to TreeClan, then." he laughed, his voice sinking into a purr a few moments later. What will Spiderstar say? the warrior thought suddenly, working through scenarios in his head. But then he sighed. Doesn't matter. If Brissa isn't allowed in TreeClan... then maybe I'd live with her somewhere else. But that idea was not something he would like to go through with. At the moment, he had about three apprentices training under his watch, even if they would only be around every once in awhile. And Dusty held a strong loyalty to serving TreeClan. Yet why would TreeClan not accept another warrior? No. I'm sure they will.
Brissa shifted so that his ear ended up at her side, causing Duststorm to hold his breath in confusion. But then he heard it. The soft sound just within her abdomen that he had listened to when Meadowlark was bearing his kits. The familiar sound... and then.... "They're yours." A pause. "Ours." He couldn't believe what he was listening to. He couldn't believe this at all.
Slowly, Dusty raised his head to meet Brissa's gaze. And then he began to laugh and grin at the news. "W-we're going to be parents?" he asked, firefly eyes brightening. "We... that's amazing, Brissa! This is... it's fantastic!" Duststorm moved to press himself closer to his mate, drawing in her sweet scent and feeling his heart about to burst. His kits... Brissa was going to have his kits. It... yes, Duststorm already had three other little ones. But this... this still excited him. He had always loved children. "They'll be strong and brave TreeClan warriors, I'm certain. And you'll be safe in the Clan. I'll bring you food every day, and we can raise a family... together." He couldn't help but chuckle again. "Our kits."

Brissa smiled sweetly at him, letting out a soft chuckle at his words. "I guess you will" she purred, nuzzling him gently, matching the soft notes of joy like a perfect harmony to a sweet melody. She closed her eyes slightly, her lips curved upwards in a dancing look of pleasure. However, as a sigh sounded in her ears her eyes shot open and she gazed worriedly at her mate, meeting his eyes with concern. "Is something wrong?" she asks carefully, taken aback by his sigh and wondering curiously what was swirling through his mind.
The she-cat watched carefully at his sudden surprise at the sound, and at her words. Yet she also noted familiarity in his gaze, though she opted to pass it off as a trick of the dim light. Purring at his slightly goofy grin, she nodded, eyes sparkling like the brightest stars. His reaction had been her main fear, however, it turns out there was nothing to be afraid of. As he repeated her fraise of 'our kits' she released a rumbling purr and pushed her forehead into his chest. "We can be a family." she purred happily before catching his firefly gaze within her own green pools of joy. Together..."
(Not really my best, but eh, it'll do)

Duststorm paused in thought. "I was just thinking about what my Clan would think about this... and if they would let you join. But other cats who have lived outside TreeClan have been allowed to join... so I think you'll be fine." He didn't want to just brush off any worry and leave Brissa confused as to his expression. That didn't seem like the honest thing to do. So, he went with saying his mind. And he hoped Brissa wouldn't grow nervous about his words. "Do you plan to change your name like that of a Clan cat?"
The tomcat smiled warmly as she agreed and pressed into his chest, and Dusty purred before lapping at her ear affectionately. "Nothing will stop that. I promise. I'll never abandon you, or the kits. And I'll do my best to be a good father... and teach you and the little furballs how to be warriors of TreeClan."

(Wow, still waiting for the queen I messaged to reply)
Brissa listened to his words, glad he was being honest about it rather than holding it back for the sake of, what? Her feelings? The she-cat nodded, sitting carefully and curling her long fluffy tail around her paws. What do they want in a warrior. Loyalty, hunting, fighting. Maybe a few other things as well, but at least she had the basics down. "I would rather keep my name" she responded, disliking the thought of responding to anything else. The end of her tail flicked at the thought and she gave the slightest shake of her head. "However, I can hunt. And I can fight. And I will try my best to be as loyal as I can." she offers him a sweet smile and a gentle lick on the cheek. "You'll be a great father..." she responds with a gentle purr.

"That's fine." Duststorm replied with a small chuckle. "I like the name Brissa."
As she went on to explain her abilities, Dusty couldn't help but feel his chest tighten with pride. "You'll be an amazing warrior, then. I'm certain TreeClan will appreciate your skills." He was certain Brissa was a survivor. And even more certain that TreeClan would accept her, and the kits. Though at her final words, the tomcat felt a bit of unease creep through his fur.
"Hey, Brissa... I guess I have to tell you something myself." His firefly golden eyes showing his worry, Duststorm hesitating at going on. He didn't want her to find out later, and if they were having a moment of honesty... he might as well tell the love of his life now. "Before I met you... I actually...." Just say it! he willed himself. "I-I have... three little ones with Meadowlark. We had talked and gotten along, and I was going through a difficult time then. So she suggested kids, and I thought maybe they would cheer me up a bit--since I've always loved kittens, and got along great with one of my nephews. But Brissa, I promise that Meadowlark and I are not still together. I love those three kits, and I consider Meadowlark an extremely kind Queen for allowing me the option of fathering them, but I swear I love you now... and these kits."

The she-cat purred appreciatively at response, she quite liked her name also and would hate to be given any other name. Or at least a permanent on. Brissa was what she had been named by her mother, and though it did remind her of her fathers strange disappearance at her birth, and her mother's abandonment. It held a special meaning to her, as it made her who she was, and she wouldn't throw that away for anything in this world. Never would she be living to give up her soul and being, therefore she would never abandon her name. Not even would she part with a signal memory it held. Her smile fell along with his however as she broke out of her thoughts to see, unease? Was something wrong?
Panic crept up once more upon Brissa and her tail curled up. Her mouth opened to speak, but he bet her to it, so she merely sealed her lips and listened carefully. As she had been, she noticed the hesitation, the careful words, and him men telling encouraging himself, or as it was in her case, screaming coward inside her head. She felt slight worry cause her to begins to fret. Again she went to encourage him along, however he decided on his on to just come out and say it, and she herself was very glad of this. Glad indeed. As he finished, trailing off slightly, Brissa approached him gently and curled her tail over his back before turning and looking into his eyes, her own shimmering with love as she offers him a gentle lick on the cheek. "I'm sure they are great kits. I will love them as much as I promise to love our own. I will think no less of any kit of yours as I would of mine." she nuzzled him gently and closed her emerald eyes for a second before the lids fluttered gently open once more and she met his firefly gaze. "I have not doubt of your love for me, as I promise you shall have no doubt of mine for you. Even if you still felt, even a little for this mother of your kits, I shall not fret as I trust you with my heart." her eyelids flutter closed once more, hiding the gemstone orbs from sight and she purrs softly.
(Sorry for my lateness. Exams and floating troubles with one mare, a cut/infected leg of my other mare(thank those irritating fireworks for that one), screaming swearing siblings and friendship problems on the other hand and uh! Life does not like me much right now. Oh well, suck it up and smash its face in Ahem, *cough cough* I mean move on and be positive! Yeah, something along those lines...) (Excuse my boring you with my sucky life stories darling, I might just excuse myself for a moment... *Gallops up and down the fence line like my psycho absolutely darling lovely ex-racing thoroughbred* Okay, I'm good now!)

The relief was clear in his firefly golden eyes, and he breathed a long sigh he didn't know he as holding. "Thank CloudClan...." he murmured. What would he had done hadn't Brissa been okay with that knowledge? That another she-cat had already had three kits with him? Even if it was a Clan Queen, was that truly an excuse she would take? But, thank the stars, she was okay with it. And yet Duststorm took note that maybe his current kits may not be okay with the news he would share with them. They have more siblings. Shouldn't that make them happy? "Thank you... Brissa. I really believe you'll like them." He paused for a moment, and then smiled. "And I only see you now as the she-cat at my side, my love." Someday I will tell you about Rainbreeze.... He inwardly vowed. But at the moment, Dust didn't want to be reminded of the she-cat. His best friend since childhood and the love of his life for so long. It hurt to imagine her just... gone. Probably never to be seen again. Brissa was not a replacement for Rainbreeze, but he would never truly get over the gray tabby. And he didn't want to hurt Brissa now by telling her such a fact.
At the moment, Brissa most likely only knew Rainbreeze as his best friend since kithood. And as much as Duststorm wasn't against her finding out the truth, he certainly wasn't ready to tell her yet.
{ haha, nah it's fine. Sorry for the late reply myself. Life for me hasn't been easy either recently, and I need to take after you and smash it's face in my muse and time for VWW has been limited. >_< }
