The first rain of the wet season had sent Mousekit back into the nursery, cautiously watching as the fat drops of water fell from the sky. The sky. Is it really falling? He thought in wonder, tilting his head back to watch the steady downpour. Naturally, the tom was eventually lured out, his kitten-like curiosity getting the best of him. He stepped out, at first tentatively, but soon the water-loving genes of IceClan kicked in and he was frolicking through camp, mouth wide open to catch any drops possible.

At first the water seemed dangerous, like a bad omen. The sky darkened to a misty grey and water began to fall. Very few drops to begin with, splashing onto the ground as well as the young kit. Her small ears pricked up, tuning into the sound the heavy drops made as they splashed upon the roof of whatever den the kitten had opted to shelter within. However, curiosity was a beast that could not be contained, it must be fed until full or it would simply become a ravaging beast that would seem as though about to eat ones' soul. The young one now dared exit what she had begun to assume was the elders den. She stuck her cute, petite head outside, allowing the water droplets to rain down upon her, streaming off her body in an almost pleasant way. With a stir of her chocolate tail, the small figure crept further from her shelter to the point of which her whole frame was soaked. Yet she merely giggled slightly and shook her coat slightly before daring to venture further. As her curiosity heightened, a gentle smile graced her features as she noticed another kit, much like herself, frolicking amongst the steady downpour. Noting his attempt to 'eat' the rain, the she-kit decided she would try this also. Closing her eyes, she tilted her head skyward and opened her mouth, feeling the icy droplets trickle down her throat before she lowered her head once more. With a slight grin on her face, the young one bounded over toward the other. Edit: Mousepaw

Dreamkit looked outside, but saw water coming... from the sky? She was exeptionally curious about this, so she wandered outside. The rain felt nice of her fur, almost like tiny, gentle paws.

He didn't notice the other kitten until she was next to him, and even then it was hard to see her face. By that time, the rain was falling quite heavily, so heavily, actually, that everything around him was blurry. It was so strange, yet it excited Mousekit. What better to do than explore the unknown? He could see that she was following his lead by drinking the drops of rain, and he felt a flash of pride. He raised his head in greeting. "Hi," he said, not quite sure if she could hear him over the deafening yet beautiful sound of the rain. "Who're you?" He called rather bluntly.

The young kit pricked her ears alertedly, watching this other kit curiously. He seemed as though he felt quite the same as she herself did. Cautious about the falling water at first, seeking shelter in the closest den. But as it was, curiosity tends to get its way, throwing all sense out the way of its path, and so both had seemingly ended up finding the sensation almost pleasant. As the other greeted her over the pounding of the rain upon the ground. She happily calls back a greeting of her own with a gentle smile before sitting a little nearer to him. "I'm Harmony" she speaks in soft, soothing tones now, being close enough to have the other hear her without trying to extend her voice over the noise of the roaring rain.

He squinted through the rain, trying to make out the other kitten's features. However, he was saved the trouble when she moved closer towards him. Her voice was soft and musical, quiet and loud at the same time. He heard her perfectly. Harmony? I suppose it fits her voice, then. He nodded, turning his head up to the sky to watch the raindrops fall. "Nice name?" He wasn't really sure what else to say, but he turned back towards her instead, expecting her to speak. Thats how most kits functioned, anyway. They were all talk, talk, talk and no think.

(Aww, he's cute.) She always knew her name suited her voiced, it was by mere chance that she had been named such a thing. If she had been named Roughkit, maybe Squeakkit, or something along those lines, then there would be no comparison at all. Unless it was what you are named that makes you who you are. Does that mean Dreamkit is dreamy, Tangledkit all tangled or confused? And Sunkit very bright? The young one had no idea of this, but now she wondered what this new companion's name might be. As he complimented her on her name she grinned slightly at him. "Thank you" she offered as custom before turning her attention to the seemingly falling sky as though not to leave it out. Could rain become lonesome? Harmony knew not if inanimate things might have emotions, maybe thoughts and fears as well. For now they merely have one or two actions they might do. As well as some uses for those of whom are in need of them. Noticing this tom was seemingly expecting her to speak as he gazed upon her, she decided to voice an earlier question. "What might your name be" (My muse is dieting. My headache is causing it to suffer. Oh well)

( thank you!! so is harmony :3 ) If a name defines a person, what did that make Mousekit? He wasn't a mouse, that was certain. But did it mean something else? Perhaps it meant he would grow up to be the coward that a mouse was. And if the thought had been on Mouse's mind, he certainly wouldn't have been happy about it. The tabby and white tom nodded when she thanked him, a quick gesture that didn't need much thinking through. It was so strange, how some responses for things were already set in our brains. For example, if one were to say 'how are you doing?' the immediate response from anyone would be 'fine, thank you. how are you?' And those words didn't have an ounce of thought in them. It was routine, just like her 'thank you' and his nod. Mousekit didn't exactly have the most normal of thoughts compared to most kits, but he knew to keep them to himself. He had no need, no want, to share them, and he knew that if he did, he would be shunned. Of course, these strangely mature thoughts weren't always on his mind—in fact, most of the time, he was a kitten. "Mousekit," he responded, a slight smile worming itself onto his face. "Best warrior around."
