My my my, we do seem to have a kit influx. Silvercloud stared hard as yet another kit bounced out of the nursery, joining the endless kit party. How were the queens doing it? Silvercloud loved kits as much as any other warrior, and possibly more, but this was just bizarre. At the point when she was born, there were barely three kits around. And now, they seemed to be taking over the entire nursery and clan while they were at it. What in the world was going on here? Shrugging, she wondered if this would be the day wherein she was approached by yet another kit. It didn't really faze her, but it was hard to form relationships with kits, who were always disappearing. Yes indeed, some of them stuck it out till warrior hood, but most didn't. It was still nice though, to see new members. Even if she pitied the queens. Well, she would be fine with meeting any cat today. She, naturally, assumed said cat would be a curious, hyper kit, but she wasn't adverse to being surprised. There weren't enough interesting events in her life, if you asked her.

we are falling... falling through the little gaps in time , my love Rosekit was enjoying the shade of the nursery from inside the den. Her eyes were closed as she listened the the somewhat comforting, somewhat loud voices of all the other kits hoping around and playing or whatever they seemed to be doing. She liked the season changes and she liked to fee a touch of the coolness on her skin. It made her feel happy and arm inside, even though outside was colder.
She opened her eyes after a little time and let them adjust to the sunlight. Over at the far side of camp, she saw a warrior looking at the kits. Interest perked in Rosekit as she stood up and stretched her legs out before padding over to meed the older cat. A bit timid, she hesitated before saying anything.
"Hello." She said politely. "I'm Rosekit, nice to meet you."

Silvercloud smiled warmly as she saw a little kit tentatively pad towards her. This kit was new, she assumed, seeing as she was barely apprentice size. What she didn't expect, though, was the brief hesitation by the young thing before she spoke. It utterly and completely unsettled her, for she was used to boisterous, loud kits, who flaunted their talents. Well, it appears that we have a calm kit, for once. Polite, too. Who's her mother? I need to thank her. Briefly, she entertained the thought that the kit's mother might be Dappledleaf. She was the kindest cat Silvercloud knew, after all. Nodding in approval of the kit's politeness, she replied in kind, keeping her voice gentle and reassuring. "Hello to you too. No need to fear. I'm Silvercloud. So, what brings you here?" She saw no need to pander to the kit with basic sentence structure. After all, Rosekit looked smart enough to get it, even if she was young. She was beginning to like this young one.

Rose's Code: we are falling... falling through the little gaps in time , my love Rosekit liked the way Silvercloud spoke. Her words sounded so beautiful spun together and then spoke in her pretty voice. When Silvercloud spoke, Rosekit wanted to listened. She laughed at herself mentally. What kind of kit liked to listened all the time? Well she guessed it was okay to be a little strange.
"Hello Solvercloud" Rosekit meowed. "I guess I'm here to meet cats. I don't know to many cats yet. It's always a good idea to meet more."
When Rosekit finished speaking she let her polite smile return and turned to study Silvercloud.

And indeed, Rosekit did seem to understand her. She seemed strangely mature for a kit of her age, strangely quiet and reserved. But Silvercloud appreciated that. It reminded her of herself as a kit, always thinking more than she spoke. She herself had gotten a little less shy and boisterous as her days rolled by, but a hint of it still remained. "Indeed. Well, that's partly why I'm here too. And you're right, it's always a good idea to meet more cats. Unless, of course, they turn out to be enemies. But I've a feeling you won't be that." Silvercloud smiled at the young kit in reassurance. She liked Rosekit, and knew that unless something entirely too serious happened between them, she and the kit would be very good friends indeed.

we are falling... falling through the little gaps in time , my love The little words Silvercloud used that no other lots used perked Rosekit's interest. Indeed being one of them. Rosekit liked the sophisticated sound of the affirmation that she had heard only her mother and now Silvercloud use once. Then Silovercpuld touched on the relationship of being and enemy to someone and the concept struck Rosekit as odd.
How could someone hat another so much they they couldn't even stand to look the other in the eyes? What kind of emotions could do that to a cat? And how could those emotions exist at all in the beautiful world Rosekit knew. Maybe the world was dark and ugly, but she Haden's seen that side before. She had only seen the beauty and this made up her innocence Rosekit thought of how the Clans dough sometimes and then though the the concept of enemies.
"How can someone hate another so much?" Rosekit asked, hoping the wiser cat could answer and help Rosekit understand. "How can emotions exist that are so strong make one person want to hurt another?"

Silvercloud sighed sadly as Rosekit asked about hatred. In truth, she didn't want to answer the kit. In fact, she would prefer to keep Rosekit innocent, unknowing of the cruelties of this world. But she also knew that it would hurt the kit in the future, to be so innocent. And Rosekit had already come off as such a mature thing. Surely a little more couldn't hurt. Though, Silvercloud didn't have very much wisdom in that aspect, except what she learnt through experience and pain. After all, the black furred warrior tried her best to keep on good terms with everyone. The only cat whom she had ever wished death on was Addervenom, and that was simply in a fit of annoyance that she regretted immediately after. There was a fine line between dislike and hatred, and she hoped that she would never cross it. But for now she had to answer the inquisitive kit that she somehow felt close to, even if they had met just a few minutes ago. Gathering her thoughts and attempting to verbalise them, she murmured, "You know, I don't know. I suppose it starts from annoyance, and then they start hating one another. It isn't really a sudden thing with explanation, but more a festering of the bitterness. I think that's childish in a way. Though, there are cats who have wronged others so severely that what they have done is worth of hatred. That sort of hate is strong, powerful, and I pray that you never have to know how destructive it can be." Sighing again, she drifted off, lost in her thoughts.

we are falling... falling through the little gaps in time , my love Rosekit knew how bad hatred was upon seeing Silvercloud's reluctance to answer about it. But hearing it was something totally different. How could one cat wrong another? What sort of reason could make a cat wrong another so bad that hate could burn in the center of it?If cat were capable of such things to each other, should Rosekit be afraid of all of them? How could she know that the cats around her wouldn't just turn on her and beat her down?
For a moment, she let the fear she felt in her chest swirl in her lilic eyes before pushing it all down a little and raising her tiny head again. So there was hatred in this beautiful world sh knew. But then what happened next? What do you do with the hatred and hard feelings?
"How do you get rid of it?" Rosekit asked in a small voice. "sSo this exists. How do you get rid of it? How do you handle it if someone pushes in onto you?"

Silvercloud returned her silvery black gaze to the little kit, just in time to catch a flicker of fear race through her eyes. Had she scared the kit? She knew that sometimes, the talk of a warrior was quite mature. But this kit was mature too, so mature that Silvercloud had almost forgotten that she was speaking to a kit. But, in truth, she was, and she had to be mindful of that. A growing feeling of regret echoed through Silvercloud as she contemplated what she had done. Rosekit had to know all of these things eventually, but not now. Surely not now. Maybe it was too early for all this pain. Her fears were not in the least settled as Rosekit asked her about getting rid of hatred. Silvercloud knew, deep inside her, that she and the kit were too deep in this to back out, but she wanted to with everything she had. It was a hard topic, hatred, and she had no idea how to answer it. But she would try anyways, to the best of her ability. "Yes, it exists," She said in a gentle voice, wanting to both reassure the kit and tell the truth. The truth hurt, she knew, but it had to be told eventually. "I don't think there's a tried and true method to get rid of hatred, other than trying your very best to understand the other cat. Understand why you hate that person, and try to have patience. Nine times out of ten, you'll find that it's childish and irrational. The one last incident though, you should simply try to be as nice as you can, whilst staying true to yourself. And if someone forces hate on you, the advice is typically the same. Be kind, be understanding and try to not instigate it further whilst not lying to yourself. It's hard, harder than expected, but you should always try anyways." Staring at Rosekit, Silvercloud found it necessary to add a little reassurance. "But, I doubt that you'll ever feel or have others feel that burning hate. It takes a lot to go past childish irritation, and I doubt that will ever happen in your lifetime." A smile of gentle happiness and relief touching her lips, she realised that what she was saying was utterly true. There was no doubt that irritation would come into play, but hate? That was unlikely, to say the least.

we are falling... falling through the little gaps in time , my love The possibility that Rosekit would never really experience hatred in the world brightened the heavy load that had been shouldered onto her heart just a touch. She wanted to shudder in fear from what Silvercloud hd just described. So much evil and so much hate. Its so dark. And if these things could exist, are the possibilities not endless for all the other horrid things that could be? She didn't even want to think about them...at all.
Settling for not saying another word of it, she smiled at Silvercould and nodded almost timidly, telling the older warrior that she understood. Instead, she played with the dust at both of their feet, reminded her that she was still small and young and still a kit. It soothed the prickling fur on Rosekit's back. Everything was going to be okay. Right.
"Do you feel it?" Rosekit asked suddenly, unable to keep her mind away from the curious topic of before. "Do you feel hatred a lot? At all? Towards some cat?"
Then she looked down suddenly embarrassed at her outburst and took a particular interest in the fur between her claws. She mentally fused at herself for being so brash and outspoken. But the words were out and one could not take their words back.

She could still see it, could still see that Rosekit was, indeed, a kit. It was obvious, was it not, by the look in her eyes, the stance she took. But she didn't regret what she had said in the least. At least, not now. Resort would discover these things sooner or later, and eventually it would be past the time for platitudes and shallow reassurances. It was a little early, yes, but it would prevent her from getting hurt, and that was a noble choice in Silvercloud's book. Starting a little in surprise as Rosekit suddenly asked her about whether she ever felt it, she shrugged quickly, brushing it off. It was a personal question, but she wasn't offended in the least. After all, it was a good question, a good example to set. It was only natural that Rosekit would feel curious, and she would accept that. Her answer to the question was, in fact, surprisingly pedestrian. "I do feel it, sometimes, but I think it's more a childish dislike. I don't really hate anyone, in fact. Nothing has happened to make me hate, for I am young yet. And don't be embarrassed, it was a good question, if a little personal." She knew that her answer was in actual fact boring for kits, who loved Darkpool tales, but then again, she didn't see Rosekit as a kit. And hopefully, she wouldn't be disappointed with her answer.

we are falling... falling through the little gaps in time , my love In the little comets of the beautiful Earth that Rosekit had seen, she saw little dark spots and little places where she could imagine sadness darkness could exist. She wasn't sure whether she wanted to see this type of thing, but she supposed it was okay, she needed to be ready for when the darkness decided to take aim for her. A small shiver ran down her spine as he thought of her heart darkening. She wouldn't let that happen, but what if just maybe....her's did?
The answer of Silvercloud seemed to probe at Rosekit's mind. A sense of relief sort of washed through her body and left a tingly feeling in her toes. She was glad to hear that Silvercloud didn't feel hate...at least not often. She didn't want to suddenly see the darkness in a car she looked up to and wanted to learn from. Rosekit was growing up, it was an inevitable fact. She would learn all go this stuff at a whole new level soon. But she wanted to learn but someone who cared.
"Thank you," Rosekit whisperEd with a little smile. "it's just all crazy sometimes!"
