A Day In The Life Of A Kitten

[Sunpaw]

Sunlight filtered into the nursery, its radiance gradually drifting over Sunkit, a youthful, benevolent kitten known as wild to his peers. He opened one amber eye - and then the other. Hunching his back as he stretched, Sunkit drank in the warm scents of the camp he knew and loved; home. 

[Dewkit]

''Morning sleepy-head!'' She Prodded Him Roughly, As She Opened Her Weird Eyes Open. One Icy-Blue And one Ember. ''Heard you snoring like a Badger last night!'' She Mewled, Stretching, Too.

[Sunpaw]

Ignoring the obnoxious remark, Sunkit twisted his head, rasping his tongue over his pelt in a rapid motion. He paused halfway through, muttering between licks,
"How is life, Dewkit?"

[Dewkit]

''Fine, and you?'' She Replied, Watching Him. She Flinched At The Light, Mewling. ''Man, Sunrise sure is bright today...'' She Padded Away from The Light, Her Odd Paw Turning Into A Fire-Like Shade, And Her Pelt Growing Lighter. ''I'm after some Prey, want some?''

[Sunpaw]

"Yes, please." Sunkit replied amiably, squinting in the sun. "She's right!" he thought to himself, "It is particularly warm today." He remembered and acknowledged the fact that it was mid green-leaf - though it had never been this high of temperature. The youthful kitten pondered, famished and parched.

[Dewkit]

''Alright, I'll go get two mice!'' DewKit Padded Out, Smiling. The Clearing Was Empty, Bare. Only Sunlight Highlighted The Clearing. She Scooped Up Two Plump Mice From The Pile, And Trotted Back. ''Here'' She Spat Them Down. ''Take your pick.''

[Sunpaw]

Hesitantly, Sunkit made an insignificant choice of the scrawniest of the two; the sweet scents of fresh-kill filled his nostrils.
"Thank you." he mumbled.

[Dewkit]

She Nodded. ''Anytime.'' She Shoved Him Slightly, Questioning. ''You alright? You're quiet this morning..'' After, She Started To Devour The Mouse, Blood Stained Her Muzzle.

[Sunpaw]

"I'm fine." he unintentionally snapped, suddenly realising his harsh tone. He braced himself for an insult responsively - attempting to alleviate and tranquillize himself and his thoughts.

[Dewkit]

''Ooh, calm down! You're acting like a Fox that's blind!'' She Joked. ''I'm bored..'' She Muttered, Finishing Her Meal. Her Pelt Sparkled Again, Sunlight Trickling Through. ''This darn light!'' Her Pelt And Eyes Shone, Making Her Seem Beautiful. ''Uuugh, this light!''

[Sunpaw]

Sunkit circumscribed the beauteous, statuesque figure that stood before him. His heart pounded with unknown and unwanted apprehension.He nodded apologetically, the unspoken words seemed caught in his throat.

[Dewkit]

''Wanna play mossball?'' She Revealed A Ball Of Rolled Up, Wet Moss, And Batted It Over To Him, Hitting His Paw. ''C'mon, I'm bored.'' She Lowered Down, Like A Puppy, Energetically.

[Sunpaw]

"Why not?" Sunkit purred playfully, snagging his claws into the moss as if it were a helpless piece of prey - soon batting it back to his companion.

[Dewkit]

''Haha!'' She Clawed It, Chucking It Up And Batting It Over To Him - High. ''Go get it!'' She Chuckled, Watching Him. ''One point!!'' She Fell Back, Giggling.

[Sunpaw]

Returning her mischievous gesture, he bounded high into the air - but not quite high enough - only to fall squarely on his muzzle with the moss wet on his nose.
"Foxdung!" he muttered under his breath.
