A Decent Matchup [Closed]

[Flashkit]

Flashkit wandered the nursery, looking desperately for someone to talk to; or play-fight with.  The tom was so bored lately, with his only friend Poppykit missing and all. The kit paced until the sun peeked up on the horizon. He had been up at moon-high, bored beyond belief. Sighing, finally he sat, giving his cramped little legs a rest.

Crystalkit was skipping around, bored, when she walked into Flashkit, sighing.
"Hello~" She mewed with her young, clear voice.

( pretty sure this is for me? if not, i apologize!! )        The Nursery air was filled with sounds of soft kitten snoring, and the occasional barrage of chatter from the corner. The voices were, strangely, much too loud for Mousekit as he tried, to no avail, to fall back asleep. He gave a small whimper, trying to bury his face further in the moss in hopes that it would mute the sounds.       Eventually he gave up. It was no use, especially as the day grew warmer and more kittens began to rise. In an instant he was up, large blue-green eyes wide and curious. His attention was snapped away as another kit approached, and, thinking Flashkit was headed for him, Mousekit raised his chin, going over what he could say in his head.      But much to his frustration (not at the fact that he wasn't being spoken to, but that he was wrong), the other kitten sat a few tail lengths away. Mouse turned his head to study the other tom silently, not quite sure if he should speak up or not. Perhaps Flashkit hadn't even noticed him yet. ( sorry for the length ;-; i got a little carried away ) ● ● ●

(Oh, it's fine. I happen to luffs long posts. They give me much material to work with in my next post. And it is for you. Crystalkit tho XD Random. She is welcome to join in though, I suppose.)

Flashkit was startled by the kit who had seemed to have come from no where; his mind was scattered and in tatters, much to his dislike. As his blank gaze lifted slowly, the tom eyed the new she-cat with curiosity. She seemed quite new to him. He hadn't seen her at all before. Suddenly the kit turned around at the sound of another awakening. At least this will cease his desire for action. 
"Why are you both awake? You should be sleeping." Licking a paw casually to show that he, untruthfully, did not care about them. "No warrior would waste time bothering one who can't sleep, you know. They'd be polite." Glaring -fairly obvious that he was acting- at the duo, the cat turned his head and looked instead at the nursery entrance. If the two other kits took the hint, they could go outside and play.

Mousekit's attention flickered towards the new she-cat—in his opinion, she seemed quite childish—before returning to Flashkit. Why are you both awake? You should be sleeping. The tabby and white tom blinked, suddenly growing defensive. "I could ask you the same thing," he responded, annoyance flickering across his face.     Flash kit's next words really got to Mousekit. All his life, he'd done his absolute best to try and ensure that he'd be an amazing warrior. And who did this new kitten think he was, telling Mouse exactly what he had to do to be a good warrior? But, of course, he knew it wouldn't help to get worked up. A good warrior needed to stay calm, and that's exactly what he'd do.      "And no warrior should be up so late if he wants to do his best," he responded, trying his best to douse the flame that had risen at the base of his throat. He was being too defensive, and he knew it. He didn't usually get so worked up, not ever, really, unless one was insulting his ability as a warrior. And, in his mind at least, that's exactly what Flashkit was doing. However, he knew he needed to slow down. Warriors needed friends, not enemies.  ( awesome!! )
