( I'm going to go ahead and finish your training! You'll have your assessment thread soon. )
Dappledleaf woke up, eyes hazy and mind drowsy. Otterpaw! She had to train him today since both his friends had gone inactive missing. Dragging herself out of the nursery, while making sure not to squash any kits, she headed in the direction of the rapidly shrinking fresh-kill pile. She grabbed a small fish, gulping it down, then looked at her ruffled pelt. Grooming and straightening it, she gave a content purr before heading towards the apprentices' den.
"Otterpaw," she called softly, sticking her head in the den. She spotted his pelt easily, and once he stirred, she pulled away. Looking to the exit, she padded over, then sat patiently, waiting for him to join her. Otterpaw

((yay! i can't wait, i've been training for like 3 months now and i'm sure you'd love to get me off your hands~))
As soon as she had called his name, Otterpaw had flashed out of the apprentice's den and groomed himself. "Hi, Dappledleaf!~" he greeted cheerfully, as he trotted over to her. "How's being a queen?" Otterpaw hadn't seen his mentor since their last training session, when she had first been promoted to the rank of queen. "Do you like it? Is it tiring? Is it hard?"

( I just felt awful, since I've been training you for ages. The only reason I never got around to yours was because I was trying to get Moon and Haze's done, but they're inactive so I never could. )
She returned the smile while heading to the exit. "Good morning to you too, Otterpaw." She was surprised immediately after replying, she'd been bombarded with questions. "Well, it's been pretty good, so yes, I love it," she thought aloud with a small wave of her tail in the direction she'd chosen. She was about to speak up again when she paused, looking back at the tom.
"Oof, I've been so caught up with you three's training that I got it all confused..." she felt like a horrible mentor now, but she already had a moment ago. "Do you remember what you need to finish up today?"

((yeaaaah, I don't know what happened with Haze. He just, gave up on VWW I guess. qnq I know you've been trying your best, though cx! You're a veryyy busy queen ))[/b]" he meowed. " I'm not quite sure, to be honest!" Finding himself suddenly nervous, he nibbled on his tongue. Would she be mad.? Otterpaw shook the thought from his head; she would never be mad at him for something like that. [/ul]

( that's a shame D: )
Dappledleaf nodded slowly. "Well... you've gone swimming, fishing, practiced hunting crouches and gone hunting," she murmured, thinking for a moment. "We could go over some battle techniques, hunt a bit more and start with our territory tour first," she offered. "Sound good?"
Plus, if she could wrap this up quickly enough, he would be able to move to his duties as a warrior, and she wanted him to get there soon enough. It was well-deserved.

[/b]" Otterpaw chirped. He knew that after this, he'd most likely have his assessment, and then he could become a warrior! If he passed, that is. But Otterpaw was sure that he could pass his assessment, with flying colors. " So when should we start?"[/font][/ul]

"Now," she meowed, then began trotting at a constant pace in the direction of the TreeClan border (no, i haven't memorized the map, so I could be wrong about this), and once they'd gotten close enough, she stopped and slowed down. Assuming the tom was right behind her, she simply asked, "Can you tell me what clan this is, and why?"
[short, sorry!]

(Nah, you're right! Sorry for late reply) [/b]" he started, " Maybe... FireClan?"[/ul][/ul]

( no problem cx )
She lifted a hesitant paw, then let her gaze drift over the tree-infested territory of TreeClan. "Uh, that's not correct..." she trailed off, though she brightened up in a second. "Try looking at what is in the clan, for example: rocks, trees or prairies... basically the landscape." Pausing, she thought of other things that could've been clues. "Scents, like prey and markings as well."

Otterpaw frowned. He knew he was wrong. He listened to her advice and tested it out, carefully taking the time to observe every piece of the territory he could. Nothing was going to get past him, not this time. He wrinkled his nose when his nose stumbled upon a particularly distracting scent. He thought it could help for a minute, before realizing he didn't know anything that smelled like that. When, suddenly, an idea came to him. He already knew that IceClan bordered only two Clans, FireClan and TreeClan. And from his border patrol, he knew this wasn't FireClan. So it must have been TreeClan! But what if he was wrong again..? He took a look at the territory around, there were lots of trees. It was like a disease that had gotten out of control. So, Otterpaw came to the conclusion that this must be TreeClan. "It's TreeClan! Right..?" his voice growing unsteady as his confidence ebbed.

( urgh, sorry about the slow/short replies! )
"Very good, Otterpaw," the she-cat smiled, offering a congragulatory flick of her tail. He seemed to be doing quite well. She intended to raise her remaining apprentice to the best of her ability, too! FireClan next, then.
She got to her paws, and set off in direction of FireClan -- and now running at quite a quick pace -- they reached it in no time at all. Once they'd halted to a stop, she turned to check on the young tom and gave him a moment to catch his breath, if necessary. After giving him some time, she intstructed he do the same for this border as TreeClans'.
Once the tour was finished, she would review the training and then, hopefully, sum up all of the types of prey. If they could, she would also try to show him the thunderpath and the mountains a bit. She wanted him to be aware of all that could be found in his territory.

((You're fine, I am the queen of short replies)) Otterpaw purred, practically glowing with his excitement. He didn't have much time to gloat, for Dappledleaf set off at a quick pace; he had to sprint to catch up. When she finally did stop and give him time to rest, he used it gratefully and without complaint. Her instructions, however, did cause an inward groan in Otterpaw. Thinking was not his strong suit, if one couldn't tell from his last try. Except, this time it was much easier, because he already had it figured out. This was the same border he visited on his border patrol. "This is FireClan," he meowed confidently, trusting in his judgement this time. "So what are we gonna do now?" Otterpaw chirped happily.

She nodded this time, more of a silent praise. Of course, it didn't take long for the subject to change, though she couldn't deny she wasn't surprised.
"Glad you asked," she smiled, ears flicking absently. Her mind drifted for a moment, but her expression changed a second later, determination settling in. "All right, so, would you like to begin hunting or battle training first?" the she-cat asked, glancing to the apprentice.
She knew she'd been a bit controlling the whole time, so perhaps letting him chose for a change would be good. Plus, then she wouldn't have to decide, which she really just couldn't seem to find the energy to do.
( my apologies, again! i'm seriously struggling with my activity lately so they'll be late+lazy replies )

((It's fine and I apologize for a 15 day late reply--))
Otterpaw had to think about this decision. He acted as if it was the most important choice he would ever have to make in his entire life! "Hunting, or battle..." he murmured his options aloud to himself. It helped him think. Finally, he made up his mind: "Uhhh... can we do battle training first??" As he waited for her answer, the white tom brushed his tail upon the earthen ground impatiently.

( no problem at all! )
Getting abruptly to her paws, she nodded. "All right, let's get going then," she meowed. She headed in the direction of the training hollow, staying at a fair pace.
It wasn't long until they reached the hollow, and when they did, she turned back to the tom. "Let's see... you did some training with Hazepaw, but is that it?" She thought to herself for a moment. "If that's it, I guess we can start, but first I'd like to know, what have you learned -- if anything -- besides with my training?
