My paws are cold [open]

Ripplekit's pale eyes flitted from the ceiling of the nursery to the entrance. The cold weather was getting to him, despite his fluffy pelt, and he felt as if venturing outside would freeze his paw-pads. A movement in the corner of his vision gained his attention. It was a tail twitching atop a brittle pile of moss. Ripplekit fumbled onto his paws, instantly seeing this as an opportunity to play. The tabby flexed his paws a bit, to get his blood flowing, before crouching down and pouncing in the general direction of the tail. "Rawr!" Ripplekit mewled, his voice cheerfully excited rather than menacing.

Sprucepaw had been laying outside the nursery. he had taken a walk to stretch and he had finally crouched in front of the nursery after his mind was clear. He suddenly felt something hit his tail. "Woah, my tail." he said spinning around to see the disturbance only to find an older kit. "Well hello there little one." he said gazing down on the small cat.

(Sorry no one has roleplayed in this thread yet. i was expecting someone else to do it , and judging by the way you wrote that post I'm guessing you were expecting a kit. but since no kit was gonna do it i jumped in. ill leave if you want.)

Ripplekit gazed playfully up at the older tom, pale eyes gleaming. He puffed his chest out a bit as he straightened himself up, glad he had managed to actually pounce on his target. "Gotcha," he mewed with a grin, dipping his head in a mutual 'hello' to the apprentice, "I'm Ripplekit by the way."

"Well you don't look like a kit your certainly big enough to be a small apprentice and if you've just caught a soon to be- warrior's tail then you've the skill to be a warrior." he said with humor but in a sarcastic tone. " the names sprucepaw. its nice to meet you ripplekit." The brown tom said looking down at the smaller cat.

Ripplekit squared his shoulders and raised his head, trying to look as grown-up as the older tom was making him feel, "You really think so?" he mewed, the childish grin that he wore ruining any chance of him looking like an adult, "it's nice to meet you too, Sprucepaw-- or, well I guess since your a soon-to-be-warrior you'll have a new name soon," the gray tabby mewled, curiosity sparking, "do you have any idea's on what it's gonna be?"

"Of course you'll be the greatest warrior in the clan." he said and then laughed at the kits grin. "Yah but its probably not as good as... Ripplepaw the conquer." He added the last part with dramatic flare" I was thinking spruceclaw or spruceheart." He said looking down on the young kit with a little pride it was hard to contain the excitement of becoming a warrior.
