Sandstone let out a snort of amusement as she flung backwards. "So strong but you'll never beat a badger!" She howled bravely and placed her paw on his tail.

Ripplekit squealed triumphantly when he felt Sandstone move back. "Prove it!" the tabby mewled, squealing indignantly when the she-cat pinned his tail down. Thinking fast, the tom-kit twisted around and started battering the paw Sandstone was using to hold his tail down.

Sandstone looked at the kit pawing at her paws. She looked at him. "I give up I give up!" She yowled her paw starting to hurt. She smiled to Ripple. "Well done, you will be an amazing warrior some day." She purred.

"YAY!" Ripplekit yowled in victory when the badger surrendered. Purring, the tabby bounced around in an exited manner and puffed out his chest pridefully. "Really?" he mewled, pale eyes shining brightly as he turned to Sandstone, "you really think so?"

She nodded. "You'll be an excellent warrior." She meowed happy to see Ripplekit so happy. Her tail wrapped gently over her paws as her ear twitched with wonder. "Who are you hoping to be your mentor?" She asked.

"I hope so," Ripplekit mewed with a wide grin, a purr rumbling in his throat at the warrior's praise. "My mentor?" the tom narrowed his eyes in concentration. He almost forgot that he would be getting his apprentice ceremony soon. "Um, well, I guess momma would make a pretty good mentor," he said thoughtfully, "but you would make a really awesome mentor too! I guess whoever Cloverstar chooses will be good-- I don't think RockClan has any bad warriors."

She smiled at the compliment. "Well I am hoping to mentor an apprentice before I decide to go live in the nursery for a few moons." He meowed with her eyes slightly closed it a motherly way. "Maybe I can talk Cloverstar into giving me you as an apprentice." She said a little excitement flowing through her.

"Really?" the gray tabby mewed, his voice unconsciously raising it's pitch in excitement, "that would be AWESOME!" Ripplekit twirled in a tiny, exhilarated circle. "We could go around the territory together and go hunting and we could even fight real badgers!" the tom-kit rambled, bouncing on his heels in a thrilled manner.
