Poppypaw padded reluctantly into her new home, a small mouse in her jaws. The apprentices' den. She wasn't looking forward to it, either. In contrast to the warmth of the nursery, and its' safe feeling, the apprentices' den didn't compare the slightest bit.
Spotting a nest that seemed unhabited and away from the reach of any sort of weather like the rain, snow or wind. She'd been about to head over when she bumped into another cat. She fell back onto her haunches then landed not-so-gracefully on her side. Grunting, she got back to her paws, then looked at the cat who she'd run into.
"Sorry," she apologized, not feeling very sorry. It wasn't like she didn't care, but she just didn't show or express her emotions very well. It proved to be a problem most of the time. Sweetpaw

I hadn't even noticed her until someone bumped into my side. Surprisingly, this cat was a stranger, though I didn't know why I was so surprised. Most cats in TreeClan I'm not very familiar with. Though I guess she looked friendly enough to know! "It's okay! Hi, I'm Sweetpaw!" I chirped happily, feeling springy on my paws and yet somehow not bounding up in the air--yet, of course. I loved to jump. My legs were really short, but I still liked to jump! I bet I could jump the highest out of everyone if I was taller! Dumb migit legs.... "Who are you? Are you a new apprentice? You'll love training! It's bundles of fun! And you get to meet a lot of cool cats, too, and eat yummy squirrels! Oh, do you like squirrels? They're waaay better than mice." My blue eyes widened at the thought of mouse. Ew. Why didn't we all just eat squirrel instead? Mice were too... non-squirrel-y.

Poppypaw had been a bit taken aback by the cats' excitement at first. She just wasn't used to it. Perhaps her fears of being an apprentice weren't that bad, then.
Then she'd been bombarded. Her eyes widened, and she felt herself take a deep breath. This bundle of fur sure was hyper! "I'm Poppypaw, and yes I'm a new apprentice," she began. "Also, I look forward to training, so I'm not surprised you called it fun."
Nibbling the mouse, she stopped when the she-cat had implied they were gross. She didn't think that, but they were indeed bland. "Er, I haven't tried a squirrel yet... I'll make sure to do that soon," she smiled, replying between mouthfuls of the mouse. Gulping down the rest, she titled her head.
"Who are you?" she asked. The she-cat seemed well over the age of being a new apprentice. Perhaps almost close to her ceremony?

I nodded quickly at random, before noticing the mouse and recoiling in disgust. Ew. Mice. Gross. But, at the mention of fun apprenticeship, I felt a little bit better. "Yep! Training is pretty cool! Oh, you have to try the squirrels. They are the best! I mean, who doesn't like squirrels? Pfft, I live off them! I mean, they are soooo good! Everything else makes me sick, so I decided only to eat squirrels... unless I'm starving. Like, really, really, really, really starving. Then mice is okay. Or bird. But squirrels are waaaay better. And tastier. Did I mention mice were gross? Because they are. Oh, whoops." I paused. "He he, I like to talk on and on about everything! Sorry, Poppypaw! Oh, and pretty name."
I stopped again as she asked my name. I giggled. "He he! I already said it, silly! I'm Sweetpaw, nearly a warrior! Haha!" Though I probably didn't look it. I was about Poppypaw's height, if not smaller.

"All right," she answered simply, as that was all she could manage. "I promise to try a squirrel, ok?" Oh dear CloudClan, this girl sure was a handful. Oh well. She'd probably make for a great friend, all endless blabbering aside.
"Oh, right, sorry," the tabby added, blinking away confusion. "I forgot since, er, well, you do talk quite a bit." Looking to her mouse, she prodded it lamely. Well, it would be bad to waste food. Finishing it a couple more bites, she looked back to the she-cat.
"Do you have any ideas for a warrior name?" she asked, curious. "Oh, also nice to meet you, Sweetpaw."
