( Whitepoppy )
Dewpaw had begun to feel more relaxed in the apprentice's den now, as she grew older in age, continued her training in earnest whenever there was a chance, and also familiarized herself with many of the cats of the den, as well as being in the rank of apprentice. She didn't know all of the apprentices, of course- and not all were on ideal terms with her, but there was still a soothing knowledge of being aware of all the cats that she shared the den with now, and the feeling of acceptance in a way as an apprentice, even if it was self acceptance for herself. She no longer felt the tense and awkward feeling she did as a young apprentice, for she no longer missed the nursery so much, for this was her new way of living now, and she had accepted it. Now the young cat concentrated on learning under her respected mentor, and also attaining the skills to hunt and defend the Clan.
She no longer exactly moped about it, for she still volunteered for border patrols when she could, and she focused on trying to learn these skills anyway in her own observant ways. Dewpaw was even beginning to develop a bit and mature after some adventurous experiences, and even those started to bring a new demeanor to her. She still was quite the same plucky and curious cat, however, even despite these changes, even though some perspectives of things were changing gradually. She was now relaxing in her nest, and for once feeling okay about doing so, her eyes only half opened as she rested herself, though she still attempted to be attentive about any sounds or presences nearby. This wasn't very successful, however, until she noticed another cat nearby, and opened one eye a bit wider, lifting her head slightly. "Hello." She called out in a rather friendly but careless manner, calling out a greeting that she usually did when seeing any other apprentices come in the den, or become aware of their presence in it.
