Burnetkit trudged into the Elder's den, scowling and utterly miserable. You see it had starting snowing, which was fun at first, but now the russet kit's thin pelt was soaked through, which made him rather miserable. Not wanting to walk all the way to the Nursery to get warm, Burnet settled for the Elder's den. "Yo! Old timers!" the tom-kit yowled in an irritated manner, "I wanna a story!"

 MAPLEFROST OF ICECLAN Had he somehow enjoyed snow once? Great CloudClan, but this was awful - he'd been sitting alone in this freezing-cold den all day. Bad weather always made his bones ache anyway. So, with all things considered, Maplefrost was in a terrible mood.
The blind calico let out a rumbling growl when he heard the arrogant squeak of a youngster in the den entrance. "I hope for your own sake that you've brought fish."
