[Robinstar]

Robinstar padded into camp, his eyes instantly finding Lionstrike in camp. He padded towards her, not really caring if his clan saw them talking. "Hey," he said, sitting down beside her. "Are you okay? Did the medicine cats fix you up?" He asked, glancing down at her stomach questioningly. It didn't seem like she was bleeding out.

[Lionstrike]

I looked up as Robinstar padded towards me. It's still too much to think he even became a leader. I wrinkled my nose at nothing, staring off in the distance. "Well, I'm certainly not bleeding anymore. But, I was told that it will take a while for it to fully heal." I broke out of my stare, looking back at him. "What, you don't have leaderly things to do?"

[Robinstar]

Robinstar studied her face with worry, wondering if she was still mad. Was that why she wouldn't look at him? "I'm glad. You can stay here as long as you need." He wondered if she'd seen Spiderleaf- Spidermask, now. The female had recently joined, and he certainly hoped the two wouldn't get into a... fight. They never did get along. Her next words answered his first question, and he glanced down, hurt slightly. "Not now, no. I wanted to see if you were okay, so 'leaderly' things can wait."

[Lionstrike]

I couldn't help but let out a harsh laugh. "Was it your dream for me to stay here with you? Looks like it's coming true. I can't leave even if I wanted too. Any wrong move, and my wounds will open again. And, if I'm alone,I'll definitely die." My tail twitched. "Besides, TreeClan probably thinks I'm as dead as Appefall." Applefall was pretty dead last time I checked. "Are you putting me before your priorities? What world is this?"

[Robinstar]

Her tone was harsh and Robinstar wasn't even sure why she was angry. "You know I'd love if we lived in the same clan, but I'd understand if you left," he said, confusion clouding his face. "Are you angry with me, Leo?" He asked, frowning. "Look, if you don't want me to talk to you I'll leave you alone. I just wanted to make sure you were okay, and to talk to my friend."

[Lionstrike]

I sighed. "I don't know, Robbie. I just don't know. You're clan is different from mine. You're clan swims and eats fish. I climb and eat squirrels. I don't know how I can adjust to the freezing temperatures too." I huffed, hanging my head. "No. I'm just frustrated." I murmured, glancing at him. "Sorry."

[Robinstar]

"Believe me, it was hard to adjust for me as well. Even though I have IceClan in my blood, it was hard. Besides, we do have squirrels and birds here and, you never know, you may obtain a taste for fish. I did." He knew it was unlikely. He nodded. "It's alright. I should've known. It's hard to get used to."

[Lionstrike]

I snorted. "I didn't even have any clan blood. I was just some abandoned loner that appeared one day out of the blue, begging to be trained. I suppose your mother planted that thought of becoming a warrior in my mind." I meowed contemplatively. "They're not as good as TreeClan squirrels or birds. Soggy. A bit thinner." I wrinkled my nose. I rolled over onto my back, heaving a sigh as I stared at the sky. "Did you choose IceClan because of her?" I suddenly asked, referring to his mother.

[Robinstar]

"You don't know that for sure, do you?" He asked with a slightl tilt of his head. "Your father could have been from one of the clans." When she mentioned that it was his mother that planted the thought of becoming a warrior, he nodded in agreement. "And she didn't even want us to join at all." Robinstar rolled his eyes. "No need to be so picky. Besides, you'll have to eat something while your here. And I'm pretty sure Spiderstar won't be happy if you steal any of his prey." He fell silent, head turning towards her when she spoke up. He sighed. "Yeah. I did. She told me not to, but after her death I couldn't help it. I needed to know everything about her past. So, I came here." His shoulders drooped. "I haven't found anything, if you were wondering."

[Lionstrike]

I looked over at him. "I don't know my father. I hardly knew my mother. How could I know if I was ever apart of the clan? Why would I have been sent to the outside if I really was part of a clan? It just doesn't make any sense." I meowed, sighing. I snorted. "I refuse to eat any of your clan's fish. That's just horrid." I said, gagging a bit. My ice-colored gaze flicked down, a small hmm the only sound coming from me. Then I spoke. "Maybe you need to ask harder. Someone who's older than you are. Your mother was a warrior when she left, right? A senior warrior may have known her. Or an elder." I suggested.

[Robinstar]

"All I'm saying is that it's possible," Robinstar responded. "Besides, I'm half IceClan and I grew up as a loner. I was sent out of the clan in my mother's stomach. The same could have gone for you." He wondered who his father was—he'd been told he and his mother had a forbidden love, but that their love was true. He believed her, of course, and he had every means to find someone who knew his mother well enough to know about his father. He wanted to meet him, to learn about her past so that he could rest peacefully. Maybe, even, if he knew more about her, he could make peace with her for disobeying her dying wish. But what he didn't know was that a lot of what she'd told him was far from the truth. "Don't you want to know him? Or about him?"

"Fine. Have a vole." He gave in, a not of slight annoyance in his voice. She was too stubborn. "I'm sure someone here knew her well, yes. But what I'm not going to do is go around spilling my whole life story. You know that's not something I'd do," he told her. "Besides, what if I run into someone who was enemies with her a long time ago? I want the clan to trust me. It's important." He sighed. "I'll have to do it in a more secretive way. If it takes a long time, so be it. I'm willing to wait."

[Lionstrike]

I shook my head. "I don't think my father was from any clan, though. It's my hunch. I think he was just some random rogue like my mother was. Darkpool, I didn't even know my own mother long enough to find out where she was from. She died when I was just a kit, remember?" I said, sighing. I shrugged. "I don't know. Frankly, I don't want to know if he abandoned my mother and me. I've had kits that grew up without their father. Our kits were like that too. They always wonder if their father loved them or not. I asked that question many seasons ago, and I don't want it to be yes. I'd rather stay curious for the rest of my life."

I was rewarded with a vole, biting into the woodland creature. A pang of homesickness stabbed my heart. "I miss TreeClan..." I whispered. It was too late to go back, though. If Spiderstar heard that I was friendly with this clan's leader, he would throw me out without hesitation. It would just be best to stay here with Robbie. "There must be someone you could ask. Someone old and wise."

[Robinstar]

Robinstar nodded. "I remember," he responded softly. "But it doesn't really matter, does it? If you're from one of the clans or not? No one really cares these days. In fact, I've run into quite a few who were loners." He shrugged. As she continued to speak, his ears flattened to his head. "I know. I wanted to meet them, but I always thought that if I did, and they knew I wasn't part of TreeClan, that they might grow up troubled or teased. Of course I loved them, and I'm sure your father did too."

The leader nodded, watching his best friend. "I know. I'm sorry that I took you back here. I should've brought you home, with your children." He did feel bad, and he knew she couldn't go back at this point. "I don't know of many of the older cats, but I'm sure there is. As long as I know I can trust them, I'd be happy to ask. I'll have to start looking around."
