[Webpaw]

Webpaw sat just outside the apprentice den, watching the smallest of flurries begin to coat the boulders and landscape around him. The warm winds from summer had all but died now and anything he could feel was cold. Even the billows that occasionally protruded from his mouth with every outward breath signaled Leafbare. And as he had heard, Leafbare in the clans was the worst. Keeping all of the mouths fed including his own. Then again, there would be more cats willing to help feed his blind sister.

Sighing he laid down, wrapping his sleek tail around his back paw in an attempt to keep it from freezing. Sure, he could just go back inside the apprentice's den and warm up. But that was not going to help him build a cold tolerance. So yes, Webpaw was outside building a cold tolerance. Yes indeed.

[Spruceclaw]

Sprucepaw padded into the camp after the recent hunt. he dropped off the prey on the pile. sprucepaw looked around the camp watching the flurries fall to the ground he was suprised to see an another apprentice out in the snow. he recognized him as webpaw they had met before once. he picked up some prey and padded over to join webpaw outside the den. "Hello webpaw care for some fresh kill." He said dropping a shrew in front him and sitting next to him.

The orange tabby tom pushed his ears forward as the other apprentice came forward, dropping prey before his mussel. "Thanks." He mewed, answer in his most casual one word voice. This was Sprucepaw, an apprentice he had met once before when Frostpaw had invited him along. The adventure outside the camp hadn't lasted long with the group of four apprentices. The again, Webpaw had never really been one for much company.

Taking a bite of the shrew he let the blood that was still particularly warm creep down his throat, sending pleasant shivers down his body. It almost warmed his body immidiately. Guess I should really try eating more, the apprentice shrugged to himself and continued eating.

Although he soon felt an awkward silence setting in and mewed, "How'd the hunting patrol go?"

[Spruceclaw]

"It was good, it was good there was more prey than i expected." He said sighing. "How's training coming?"he asked curiously wonderibg if webpaw's mentor had abandoned him aas other mentors had done. he was lucky dapplecloud hadn't done it to him.

[Webpaw]

Webpaw nodded, the prey had begun to disappear slowly. Like when there was a thick fog and the sun slowly began to suck it away. Hauling in loads of prey was always a blessing.

"Training is well." He replied, shrugging as he said this. Training was slow, his mentor was beginning to come around less and less. In the beginning everything had been great. But at this point he feared he would just have to train himself. This was his second assigned mentor as well.

"I guess that's how every mentor session seems to go now a days."

Was he really that ignorant and boring that training seemed useless?

Sprucepaw sighed it had happened again another mentor had abandoned their duties he thought noting webpaws reaction. "I'm glad its going well. Speaking of training once you become a warrior are you gonna take on apprentice?" He asked curiously

Webpaw shrugged from his current laid-down position. "I guess if they assign me to an apprentice I'll have to train em'." He replied, his icy blue gaze traveling back to the tom beside him. The orange tabby was just happy that his eyes weren't the same light blue as his sister's, and that he could indeed see.

"What about you?" He questioned, finishing off his meal and pulling his paws underneath his chest as they began to get cold again. "Any apprentices for you?"

"Yes i suppose i will. i think id like having an apprentice. of course ill have to become a warrior first." He said sighing and thinking of an having an apprentice. the happy thoughts seemed to warm him despite the cold. "How about a mate? You gonna have one someday? There are some pretty queens in rockclan." He said thinking of sandstone.
(I know what that's like.)

Webpaw snorted at the thought of a mate. One, because he was far too young to care about spreading on his generation at this age. And two, because merely, he couldn't see himself being intimate with another cat. It just didn't seem possible to him. The only cat he had ever been able to love wasn't even in the intimate category. He merely loved his sister because they were kin, and he was somewhat forced to.

"I'm sure you will have fun with the females." He half-laughed, shrugging again and breathing a sign.

"On another topic though, you are close to being a warrior..." The orange tabby started, feeling about his canines with his tongue as he came up with a name. "Thinking about being Sprucepelt or something?"

[Spruceclaw]

Sprucepaw gave a snort of disbelief. Then he wondered if what webpaw said was true. he shrugged. " i was thinking spruceclaw or spruceheart but sprucepelt would be good. what about you?" He asked still thinking of becoming a warrior.

The tom had had one name on his mind. One since he was a kit that he had just adored cause it made him sound... somewhat mighty. Cool almost. Like his name would hold his entire status because he was just that awesome.

"I really love the name Webspinner to be honest." He shrugged, "But yeah your names are cool too."
