YOU'RE AN EYESORE I CAN DO THIS. I padded out of camp, my tail flicking behind me as I made my way to the furthest border from my home--IceClan. Why did I decide to patrol that border when I could have picked one of the easy borders? Maybe I was just crazy. Who knows. My paws were definitely sore from the transitioning trees and rocks as I stopped at the border. But, I was not alone. I narrowed my amber eyes slightly, noticing another cat near the border.

He was right to assume he wasn't alone. I was creeping around nearby too. I narrowed my eyes, stalking over carefully to the border. Spotting the other cat I flicked my tail, letting out a hmph. "Fancy meeting you here." I raised a 'brow'. I just wasn't expecting to see someone on the other side. I looked him over, not finding him overly familiar. I disregarded it, but I might have seen him at a gathering before. His face didn't remind me of anyone I'd actually spoken to before.
"This is where you say likewise, and tell me your name." I said coolly with a small innocent smile.

YOU'RE AN EYESORE I CAN DO THIS. I scoffed, rolling my eyes at the IceClan tom. Who was this cat, telling me what to do? He obviously did not know who I was, though I assumed by now everyone knew of the new deputy of TreeClan. Perhaps I was being too prideful. I wasn't going to listen to some IceClanner.
"And if I don't say it? I would really prefer if you did not put words into my mouth, IceClanner." My tail lashed. "Though, I do think it is a small surprise that we both happened to be at the same place at the same time. I am assuming you are checking for our scents? I assure you, none of my clan has crossed your border."
My eyes narrowed even more, and if I had eyebrows, they'd be knitted together tightly. I then loosened up a bit, a smirk thrown onto my face. "I am Arrowstrike, TreeClan's deputy. Now, it's your turn to answer."

I snorted. "So, a prickly one, eh?" I rolled my amber eyes. "Feh. If you don't then this might end up not being a fairly pleasant meeting. With that attitude, that seems pretty obvious." He went on to say it was ironic we both were here at the same time, I shrugged my shoulders, but I obviously agreed. I hadn't exactly planned to be out here at the same time as a cat from another Clan. I'm pretty sure that was against the rules last I'd checked.
"Arrowstrike, eh? Heard of you." He presented his title and I almost felt as if he was challenging me. The smirk did not help his case. I never usually flashed my title, but under these circumstances I found it appropriate. "Sunfish, deputy of IceClan." I had sort of a deadpan expression going on. Seems like we were both deputies. That was slightly ironic too. What were the odds..

YOU'RE AN EYESORE I CAN DO THIS. I shrugged. "Let's just say I'm not quick to warm up to strangers. Especially cats from different clans." Luckily for him, he was not a FireClanner. I hated FireClan with a passion. Blame it all on my father when it was my mother's decision. Still, he was the reason she left TreeClan in the first place. "I'm not here to make friends. I'm here to make sure there's been no trespassing."
Impressive. Perhaps we encountered each other at one of the Gatherings. My first Gathering as deputy, I did meet an IceClan she-cat. "Ah, the deputy of IceClan? Perhaps CloudClan made this fate for us, hmm?" I met his amber gaze, my smirk holding firm on my mouth while he deadpanned. "Well, Sunfish, do you believe our ancestors have a sense of humor? Seriously, two deputies meeting at the border for the same reason. This cannot be a coincidence."
