Med Den Guidelines

Welcome to Iceclan's medicine cat den. Currently Frostbreeze (@//frostbreeze) and Snowwhisper are the medicine cats. There are a few rules to lay out that you must read before roleplaying here. If you wish to deviate from these rules for any reason, message one of the medicine cats. These should keep us in order and there should be no problems at all.

-- Describe the injury or illness!  Please please, please do this. You can write this discription in an OOC note or in character, but we can't help if we don't know what the issue is. 

-- Ask staff for severe wounds or life-threatening sickness. Little things like scraped paw pads and mild colds obviously don't require permission, but it's better to be sure with anything serious or permanent. Send a message to Frostbreeze or Snowwhisper if you want your kitty to get poisoned, lose a limb, catch a severe illness, have a near-death experience, etc. For a further list of acceptable and unacceptable wounds, go here.

-- Roleplay injuries realistically. If your character has anything that'll take a while to heal, like a broken bone, you need to roleplay with it for a while. A cat with a permanent injury, such as blindness or a lost limb, will be stuck with that injury for the rest of their life. Additionally, magical auto-healing does not exist. What do I mean by that? Well… when your character gets hurt or sick, they can't suddenly be all better without having visited us. Please don't do this.

-- Death absolutely requires permission. You must talk to Darkstar as only she can grant permission for characters dying. It's unlikely to happen, and besides, why have a spirit when you can roleplay a live cat? CloudClan/Darkpool are cool in their own ways, but the spirit community isn't very active and you'll probably have more fun in the physical realm. Trust us on this one.

-- Regular cats don't know medicine. Please refrain from barging into the den and going "HEEEEY FROSTBREEZE, LOOK AT THIS RAGWEED I FOUND DURING MY STROLL" because we won't be happy with you. Seriously, if you want to have some fun with herbs, set up a thread to join our cats in an herb hunt, or check out the patrol thread and see if you can sign up.

-- Feel free just to visit us! Regular roleplay threads are actually welcomed because they help break up the monotony of characters coming in, getting healed, and walking out. As long as you're not flooding the board with pointless threads, you're fine. Den cleanings are also acceptable because the med den has a few nests for patients.

-- Tag us if you haven't gotten any replies! Frostbreeze's username is "frostbreeze" and Snowwhisper's is "snowbloom". You don't need to tag every time you reply… only if you think we didn't notice your thread, or if it's been quite a while since we last responded.
