Twilightkit, one of the newer kits in the nursery was rather quiet. She kept to herself, and hoped others did the same, and usually, she was forgotten. Her black pelt seemed to mix with the shadows and hide her from the happy faces of those around her. She didn't care about playing or having fun! She just wanted her 6 moons of waiting to be up, so she could do something useful for a change. One particularly gloomy day, Twilightkit decided it was about time for her green eyes to scan the camp. She needed to know what it looked like to hide there too, as she knew she couldn't stay inside the nursery forever. Quite frankly, she didn't want to, either. Slowly and cautiously, without making a sound, she slid out of the dark den, only to be faced with a whole bunch of white. For a minute, she thought something was wrong with her eyes, so she tapped the white blanket that curled up around where the camp should've been, only to draw back from the sheer cold. "Brr!" She exclaimed, jumping away from it. Her tiny black and white figure was easily seen in the white, she knew it'd be only a manner of time till someone talked to her if she didn't hide. She scanned around, deciding to bury herself in the snow. She could hear everything and no one would know she was there! She slowly began to dig a hole in the cold white substance and jumped in when it was big enough.

Cheetahkit stumbled out of the nursery for some fresh air
She had not noticed any other kits coming out
Cheetahkit than spotted something
It was a black kit
"Hello what are you doing?" she asked the black kitten

( nope, you're all good to join. It is an open thread, after all  ) Twilightkit heard a voice through the outside of her snow hole. She decided it was useless to try hiding when she had been spotted, so she popped out of the hole, a flurry of white snowflake scattered on her fur. "I was trying to hide." She said very quietly, averting her green gaze from the other kittens eyes. She felt odd, this was the first time anyone had talked to her. It was half the reason she started hiding in the first place. She could see and hear, but not be seen, therefore she wouldn't feel quite as bad about being ignored. |

"Hide from who?" she wondered
"I'm Cheetahkit by the way"

"I'm Twilightkit" she said simply. The black she-kit didn't really like to talk all that much. She'd rather use actions, as she felt they spoke louder than words, but sometimes that was impossible. "Nice to meet you" she said quietly, trying a small smile to look friendly.

"I like to watch and listen, and hide. Hiding is fun" she said quietly. Though she had to agree, it could get awfully boring around camp on quieter days, and as a kit, there really wasn't anything to do... She flicked her tail in an inviting way, as if to say 'what about you?'

Dreampaw padded out of the apprentice's den. It was only a matter of time before a light snow came, given the shading of the clouds. Instead of doing anything useful, she rolled around in the snow, as if she were a kit. The wind had picked up slightly and was knocking a mouse off the fresh-kill pile. She went to pick it up and then only then she realilized that she was hungry. The mouse looked so tasty, so she went to go pick it up and eat it. After all, it would be wasteful to let a perfectly good mouse freeze. She picked up the mouse and noticed Twilightkit and Cheetahkit in the snow. She padded over to them and asked, "Do you two want some mouse? Also, what are your names? I'm Dreampaw."

'What's rabbit and warriors?' She thought inwardly. Suddenly,Moshe heard a rustling from behind her. Ducking down, she peered at where the sound came from. She watched a younger looking apprentice roll about in the snow and pick up a mouse. It was at that time, that Twilightkit almost met her gaze, but looked down at the last second. She didn't need to look at the apprentice to tell she was walking towards the two kits, most likely to tell them to go to bed. The small she-kit waited to be told to run along into the nursery like a good kit, but was instead surprised. Twilightkit looked from Dreampaw, as the apprentice had introduced herself, to the mouse. She nodded slightly, before using her claws to take a small piece of the mouse. She flicked her tail in a happy way and looked at Dreampaw gratefully. She was trying to say 'thank you' in actions. "I'm Twilightkit, nice to meet you" she whispered, only just loud enough for the apprentice to hear over the wind.

Cheetahkit than turned to Dreampaw
"Hello I'm Cheetahkit nice to meet you"
She smiled at both of them

"Nice to meet you two." Dreampaw said, wondering why the two she-kits were out here when it was so late. She decided not to spoil their fun, and the light snow would be a bit of a reward for staying out so long. All of a sudden, a snowflake came down from the sky and landed on her nose. She looked up at the sky and more snowflakes were coming down. She pounced at a snowflake and landed in the snow, flying it everywhere.
