 ADDERVENOM OF ICECLAN A quiet sigh left Addervenom's jaws as he sat outside of his den, watching the camp. Surprisingly, there hadn't been much snow so far that year. Which wasn't to say that the mountain territory was bare - there was still a light coating of ice and slush over everything, just not much in the way of actual snow.
The medicine raised his muzzle and narrowed his eyes distrustfully at the grey sky. What in Darkpool's name was going on with this season?
He was distracted, however, by the approach of a younger feline. Adder's glare only intensified as he turned it towards the kitten.

Frozenkit had awoken in the nursery to the chill in the air. It wasn't horrible really, but when he stepped out and felt the icy slush squelch beneath his paws he knew he wasn't going to much care for the day. The other kits held of little interest to him. He was bored of their games, which had grown redundant and, well, boring.
Instead he decided to explore the camp. Following his nose he came up what he assumed was the medicine cats den. He vaguely recalled his mother having mentioned the young medicine cat, whose name was something snake related. Snakevenom? No. No matter. he thought.
Though he was proven wrong as he lifted his nose from the ground to stare straight into the face of the medicine cat himself. He was much larger than young Frozenkit, and his voice was gruff. It surprised him, but he stood firm, tilting his head. "I came to explore, that is all." he said simply, letting his own green eyes pierce the toms.

ADDERVENOM OF ICECLAN Irritation flickered briefly across the older male's expression. "Explore? I hope you're not hoping to sniff around the medicine den," he half-growled warningly. Despite the fact that he'd only been a healer since leaf-fall, Adder had already had his share of meddling kittens. They were always too curious for their own good, getting into his herb supplies and making a mess of the place. As if he hadn't already had to spend ages cleaning up when he'd first started!
Then again… he remembered what it was like to want freedom and space to roam. The nursery could feel stifling at times. Oh, he was going to regret this, wasn't he? But…

Frozenkit looked at the tom curiously. He had wanted to see the medicine den, to be perfectly honest. However, this cat was clearly not someone with which Frozenkit wanted to get on the bad side of. That much he could easily figure out. Instead, he listened to the tom, half chuckling to himself.
He wasn't fond of keeping something from his mother but this offer was too tempting to pass up. Making up his mind he nodded to the medicine cat. "Alright then. Lead the way Adder...er....Addervenom right?" he asked, tipping his head to the side. The name sounded familiar on the tip of his tongue.
Fluffing out his fur he stepped back so he could lead the way. "I'm Frozenkit by the way. Pleasure to meet you." he mewed, his eyes brimming with mischief as he spoke.

ADDERVENOM OF ICECLAN "Yes, it's Addervenom," the medicine cat responded. He gave a slight nod but otherwise did not acknowledge Frozenkit's introduction, never having been one for pleasantries.
With a sweep of his tail, Adder got to his paws and started padding around the edge of camp. He paused near a large rockfall which was next to a cliff. "That's the announcement ledge, up there on the cliff face. You can get to it by climbing the rocks - and I've heard it's excellent for sunbathing. Frozenkit followed Addervenom quietly, his eyes taking in the sights. Truthfully this was his first time actually being around the entirety of the camp. Not that he planned to let the older cat know that. He stared up the ledge, feeling a bit more intimidated by its size than he cared to admit.
Looking back at Addervenom Frozenkit shook his head. "No. Ravenfeather mentioned him but i haven't seen him before. I don't get out much you see, being a kit and all." he purred. Come to think of it, other than momma and the kits you're the only other cat i've really talked to. he thought, taking his eyes off of Addervenoms pelt.

ADDERVENOM OF ICECLAN "That's for the best, then. Robinstar might be the leader but I wouldn't put too much faith in him. He's blind to certain things." Though his wording was vague, Adder felt a familiar twinge of anger upon mentioning Robin. They didn't exactly get along.
"Moving on, though," he announced while moving towards the elders' den. "There's actually a secret way out of camp behind here. Useful for any reason you might want to sneak out.
