Weather was still something that baffled Sedgekit. He had been born in leaf-fall, with little snow but frost to cover leaves for miles and breezes that whipped his fur in a thousand different directions. Naturally, being a RockClanner, he was used to the wind… but that didn’t mean he was ready for this weird stuff that fell from the sky! Spiderleaf had recently retired from her position as queen, but before she had left the nursery he had learned about this stuff called snow.
Staring at it now, his black fur fluffed out and he narrowed his eyes, an upset growl rumbling in his throat. He knew it wasn’t alive, but he still aimed a swipe at it, letting his paw brush right through a particularly heavy drift. With a muffled whumph, the drift fell in onto his paw, and he recoiled with shock. It had consumed his paw, and now he felt it seeping into his paw. Disgusted, he shook it off.
“Disgusting!” he yowled, censoring himself for nobody as he backed away. “Why did CloudClan even make leafbare? What’s even the point?”

Pearkit was staring at the sky, letting her tail sweep against the ground and collecting the white stuff on her tail. It was cold, but it was so cool! The fluffy golden kit turned around, letting some of the snow land on her nose. Whatever this was, it was cold and it looked kind of neat!
"Disgusting!" another black kit yowled, somewhat close to her. The golden kit with white paws let the snow get onto her forehead as she turned to look where the other voice was coming from. He was huddling away from the snow? "Why did Cloudclan even make leafbare? What's even the point?"
Pearkit sneezed, as a bit of snow got into her nose, and she smiled nervously. "Uh? How could you think this is not cool?" She pointed her paw at the sky, getting a bit of wet snow on her paws. "Cloudclan might've made leafbare to make us appreciate these things!" The golden kit smiled, tail almost stuck to the ground now.
(and here is Pearkit. Eternal Hopeful.)

The only reason Sedgekit knew that someone else was talking to him was the faintest sound of a sneeze, and his narrowed eyes flicked angrily from the sky to the little she-kit. Mouth pressed into a firm line, huddled safely at the entrance of the nursery, he watched as the little kit began to explain the glory of CloudClan’s decisions… or something. Maybe that wasn’t what the kitten had said, but it wasn’t getting through to him at all. But as she gathered a little bit of snow on her paw, an idea slowly formed in his mind…
“Huh,” he meowed, forcing his voice to sound nonplussed and trying to stop a grin from spreading on his face. It was hard, knowing what he was planning. He padded over to the little kit, his smirk turning to a grimace as he padded through the snow, his paws crunching the cold wet layer beneath him. He would freeze his whiskers off any moment. Stifling a grunt, he forced through his teeth, “Maybe you’re right...”
Pah! As if! Reaching a paw to the sky, gathering a little snow on his paws, he turned to the other kit and laughed. “Sike! It’s all wet and gross, look!” He squeaked, flicking the wet slushy droplets onto this other kitten. It wasn’t an act of ill will - he was full of energy, and a little grumpy, but if it took tussling with this other kit to keep his energy up, then he would do it.

Pearkit smiled when Sedgekit did, her tail struggling to lift from the floor. The white kitten with orange tabby patches leaned foward towards Sedgekit, watching his paws move slowly through the snow. As he rose his paw to the sky to collect some snow, Pearkit's smile grew wider.
That is, until he flicked his paw and wetness got all over her. Pearkit stumbled back, blinking her left eye rapidly, trying to get the droplets out of her eye. She had let out a yelp the moment the kit had swiped his paw at her. The regularly white kitten rubbed at her eye, with the other green eye looking straight at the black kit. "That was rude!" She mewed, "Don't flick water into another kit's eye!"
[sorry if this is short.]
