The young apprentice padded out of the den and settled down in a little ball beside the fresh kill pile. He had grabbed a mouse and began eating where he was nice and comfortable curled up. It was winter so it was a little chilly so he did his best to keep warm. He yawned, eating his meal in peace.
Sorrelpaw's ears flicked as he heard pawsteps seemingly approaching him. "Hello?" He called.

Cottonpaw woke up with a wide yawn, so wide he feared his jaw would dislocate if he went any further. The fluffy white tom, after he'd fully woken up and cleared the sleep from his eyes, heard the distinct rumble of his stomach and hurried outside before it could wake any apprentices. That would be embarrassing, especially since he was relatively new to the den.
He headed for the fresh-kill pile, salivating at the thought of a juicy squirrel. Hello? Cotton's bi-colored eyes, hazel and blue, flicked down towards a small ball curled up at the edge of the pile. "Oh. Hi." He said, distaste filling his expression.

Of course. Sorrelpaw snorted as a familiar face appeared. "Oh, it's you." His monotone expression showed his utmost displeasure with the arrival of the white tom. "Love it." His sarcasm this time was oozing off of every word. He'd rather eat in the elders den then hang out with this guy. But he had to fill in a good argument.
"Whatcha want?" He inquired again with little expression in his tone. Obviously he had little care for this conversation but he'd contribute as much as he could and maybe it would cease faster.

Cottonpaw huffed in annoyance, rolling his eyes. "Yeah, it's me." He raised his head, looking for an escape route. Of course, he'd need to get food first, and that meant being around this unbearable cat longer. It also meant there was a higher chance they'd get into an argument (as they always do), which Cotton would not back down from.
"Nothing to do with you. I just wanted to eat in peace," he grunted. "Obviously that's not going to happen unless I leave the camp entirely."
