Webkit glanced around the nursery curiously. He had yet to meet any kits, but he was excited to make some friends. The clan had been bursting with life, so the prospects of meeting someone with the capability to be a friend was good. After a while had passed and no one had even came within a tails-length away from him. Flipping on his back, he let of a silent groan of frustration. He was no closer to meeting anyone new, and he was getting bored.

The small female hesitated, her gaze flickered with something like sympathy towards her denmate. She had never really minded her isolation, but for some reason he actually yearned for company, or at least some form of entertainment judging by the boredom etched on his maw. She approached tentatively, her steps delicate and graceful, her odd eyes half-closed.
"Hi..." Littlekit attempted, seating herself demurely beside him, her spiky tail curling neatly over minuscule paws. She raised her brow slightly, quizzical and compelling. "I'm Littlekit..." She cringed inwardly at the reminder of her more than petite frame. "Um... Who're you?" Though now she rather regretted talking to her bored companion now, there was no going back, unless she wanted to appear an apathetic jerk... Littlekit was no social butterfly, but she'd rather appear sweet and shy than a pain in the tail,

Someone was approaching! Webkit tried to appear calm as another kit approached slowly, as if they were questioning their rescission with every step. Once she took a seat next to his nest he shot to his paws in excitement. "Hi!" The greet came out louder than intended so he firmly clamped his jaws shut as she spoke again.
Littlekit was fitting for the tiny she-kit, and he could feel such relief and gratefulness when she asked his name. Finally, someone to talk to, his lonely days were finally over. "I'm Webkit, it's nice to meet you Littlekit. Wow, you would not believe how long I've waited for someone to come over. I thought I would have to tackle the nearest kit if it went on for any longer. You're the first kit I've talked to yet, so I hope we can become good friends." The tom realized that he was rambling so he stop himself from continuing, instead, he gave Little a smile.
"How are you? Were you nervous coming over? I swear I'm nice, hopefully I'll be able to calm down after a little bit, but I'm just really happy that someone came over." He winced at his forwardness, hopefully the kit would decide to take pity on him and not turn around and make a break for it. Maybe he should try to cool down? Yes, that was a good idea. He made the quick decision that sitting down would be a lot better than bouncing around on his paws, so he firmly settle back into his nest. He hoped that maybe that would show the other that he wasn't a complete barbarian.

She cringed at the volume of his greeting, which the fellow kitten didn't seem to intend. She blinked her odd eyes twice before speaking. "Er... Hi..." A soft smile graced her muzzle, and she blinked again as a barrage of words tumbled out of her overexcited, perhaps, denmate. "Webkit..." She mused. Slightly unconventional, but unique.
"As the nearest kit was me, I don't think they'd like that very much," she mustered, wincing slightly at how sardonic she sounded. Hopefully Webkit wouldn't mind. "The first kit?" she dared to enquire, her soft voice uncertain. "What an honour." Her eyes, one blue, one amber, flickered down to her dainty paws. Then he would be her first friend. Did she really want such a boisterous kit to befriend her?
"Oh," Littlekit hesitated, and shuffled her paws a little before replying. "I think you're nice, but my ears still hurt." Her smile became toothy and embarrassed. At least it was going okay so far. She smiled slightly as he sat back in his nest. Obviously he had realized how intimidating his excitement was. At least he wasn't a mousebrain. She offered him a half-grin.
