Willowpaw blinked her icy blue eyes open
The dark brown and white tabby sighed
It was really noisy
Even though she and her friends had chosen a quiet place
Noisy cats could still fail the whole den with screaming and noise

Emberpaw awoke and covered her ears with her paws. It was so loud, her head started to hurt. She glaced around the den and noticed that Willowpaw, her friend from kithood, seemed annoyed, too. She got up and padded over. "Its so loud," she mewed, bushing he ground with her tail before sitting down. She'd noticed she'd been doing that lately, ever since Willowkit, Dapplekit and her adventure into a deep bush, finding a monster. It still gave her nightmares. She tilted her head as she peered around the quite empty den. It seemed that the only apprentices were some older cats, and her friends. |

"Good," Emberpaw mewed, half bored. She wished that training was a little better. They hadn't started doing anything yet. "We haven't done much yet. How's yours?" |

Emberpaw stopped cleaning her ear and turned her full attention to Willowpaw. "How does she train you? I thought she was blind." A look of confusion flooded her eyes. She didn't want to sound rude to the warrior, but she had to ask. "My mentor is Panthershade." |

"Sure!" Emberpaw beamed and trotted out of the apprentice den, ready to get her hunting skills on. She padded right out of the camp entrance and dropped down quickly, opening her mouth to scent out prey. |
