A Jaybird Wakes

[Jaypaw]

Jaykit awoke early in the morning, before the sun rose. He oerferred the night to the day, but all the other cats of the clan sleeped during the night, so he did, too. He stretched, flexing his claws and yawning, showing his sharp, white fangs. Standing up, he shook his pelt. Jaykit padded outside to sniff the fresh air. An owl hooting overhead, but he ignored it. He sat down in the middle of the camp, playing with a worm that had scuddled between his paws. The helpless thing tried to get away, but was no match for his quick-wits and sharp claws. He hooked it and accidentally sent it flying back in the direction of the nursery. Oops. Hope that doesn't hit someone. He thought, stiffling a laugh.

[Ravenpaw]

Ravenkit sighed curling in her soft nest 
The black and white she-cat licked her paw
before noticing a worm coming right towards her
Ravenkit dodged it and peeked outside and stared at the kit
"Don't throw stuff when others are sleeping"
She snapped

[Jaypaw]

Jaykit noticed another kit yelling at him for throwing the worm. Oh so it did hit someone. He almost starting laughing, but stiffled it without letting it surface. He padded over to the other kit. "Sorry." He said, looking the black kit over. "Who are you?"

Littlekit raised her petite head, searching for the source of the commotion, finding a grey tabby and Ravenkit. 
"Who're you, his mum?" the small female sighed dramatically, with a roll of her mismatched eyes. "Don't yell while others are sleeping - and technically, you weren't sleeping while whoever he is threw that, Ravenkit," It hadn't even hit the dark kitten anyway... Why did she have to wake the whole Clan while mewling about it?
A half-grin formed on her lips. It was pretty funny... Too bad none of the kits here could take a joke. She sighed again and rolled onto her back, her spiky disarray of dark fur spiralling around her messily in the breeze. 

[Jaypaw]

Jaykit noticed another kit imerge from the nursery, snapping at Ravenkit for being so loud. He smiled, amused by the accidental throwing of the worm. "Only an idiot wouldn't laugh at that," he murmured, not loud enough for the other kits to hear.

[Ravenpaw]

Ravenkit sighed
"Great more cats"
She hissed under her breath 

[Jaypaw]

"I thought you guys were friends. She," he pointed his nose torward the petite kit, "knew your name and all." He sat down a safe distance away from the two kits, making sure they didn't get snappy at him for what he's saying. "So your Ravenkit?" he asked, acknowledgjng the black kit, "Who are you?" he asked the other kit.

The tiny cat spoke with a roll of her mismatched eyes. 
"Just because no one likes you doesn't mean you have to be all sarcastic about it, like you're the Clan leader or something," Littlekit replied quietly, barely catching the ebony female's sardonic words. Her voice was soft and as sweet as honey, but the words were harsh, barely empathised by the silky rasp lacing them.
She shifted her minuscule paws, and fixed her eyes, one ice-blue, one amber, onto the tom-kitten's turquoise gaze. "Littlekit. You probably would have guessed, by my size.." She shrugged her shoulders. It was true, and her petite frame was only made a few sizes bigger with her dark, spiky fur. 

[Ravenpaw]

Ravenkit growled under her breath and licked her paw
She glared at Littlekit
"Instead of acting rude mind your own business"

[Jaypaw]

"Oh, cool. I'm Jaykit!" Jaykit mewed, sitting up straight and puffing his chest. He tilted his head to the side, slightly downward, and smiled. "So," he continued. Turning off his greeting smile and jumping between the two female kits. "Let's please stop snapping at each other."

[Deleted]

The kit's expression remained cool, and her eyes were icy orbs as she regarded her dark-furred denmate.

"I could say the same to you, but at least I have more manners than a badger," Littlekit replied. Her mismatched eyes opened and closed slowly, before flicking to the friendlier, silver tabby tom.

She raised a brow at his somewhat quaint courtesy, but obliged without a word, avoiding Ravenkit's pale blue gaze. Her dappled tail curled neatly around her paws. "I'm sorry, Ravenkit, but you should've have be so openly hostile," she said, her words like velvet, only just loud enough for Ravenkit to hear. A half-smile formed on her muzzle as she licked a paw and grazed her ears with it, unconsciously mimicking Ravenkit's earlier actions.

[Darkpaw]

¨SHH¨ Said Blackkit. He thought to himself how rude for them to talk well i'm trying to sleep. ¨You'll wake the clan¨ he said trying to control his anger.

[Jaypaw]

Jaykit turned to the sound of another kit hissing. "Ello." he said, doing the name cocky grin he did to Littlekit and Ravenkit earlier. He studied the other kit from ears to tail. He was basically pitch black. Looking at the ground, he stood up and moved.He felt like he was in the middle of all the chaos.

[Darkpaw]

¨Jaykit is that you¨ He called out to his brother in the dark. As he only knew his brother
and littlekit so he was hoping someone he knew was awake. 

[Jaypaw]

"Yep." Jaykit mewed in a joyous tone, wanting to show off for no reason. "Where ya been, sleeping?" He asked his brother playfully, smiling.
