Arid lay stretched out across the smooth,sun-warmed rocks that led up to the waters surface. He didn't mind the sharp, insignificantly small amounts of pain the small pebbles created as the dug into the flesh underneath his thin pelt; instead he enjoyed the soothing heath that the rocks transmitted to his body. Although the tom could withstand even the hottest of green-leaf's without complain he had found the leaf-bare's here, in this new, strange place, to be grueling and uncomfortably cold. His golden eyes peaked open from their blissfully closed state as his rounded ears picked up the faint sound of paw-step's approaching. Shrugging, the massive tom made no attempt to move himself from his sunning spot, instead stretching his body out more so that his nearly dog-sized frame took up even more space.
