There were a lot of junkyards around here infested heavily by rats. That itself brought Vale's attention to it. Rats weren't a wise idea to go after unless you could avoid getting a few bites. Rats were easy prey for the large blue-gray tomcat. He hid behind an old tire and crouched down, narrowing his eyes and concentrating on the rat ahead. He stalked it then quickly aimed for it when he reached a good distance from it. He killed it and flicked an ear, hearing a few items crash as if there was something there he turned his head slightly. "Hmph.." He snorted, turning his head back to his kill. He cared little for intruders and if it was a potential prey thief he'd deal with them if need be. But it might have just been more rats. Patch

Patch was bored today, so she decided to spend her precious time wandering the streets. The Deathclanner could really care less if her 'clanmates' knew where she was or not, she was a rebel. In her line of thoughts on life, she tripped and junk came cluttering down. When the dust cleared and she managed to slip through the mangled junk, Patch's green eyes spotted a much older tom, who didn't really notice at all. If she had hands, she would be clapping.
"Wow, dude, just wow.."

Vale turned his head back again slightly over his shoulder. Although it was only halfway, but his gaze wandered towards the she-cat. He'd heard the sounds, but didn't find need to acknowledge it. He turned his head once again back to his meal. "Is there something I can do you for, exactly?" He inquired in a rather monotone voice.
"Otherwise, you really are a bother." He sat down only facing her partially, but spending more of his attention on his food as he ate.

"No, just coming to see daily deaths of rats." Patch replied with a roll of her eyes. It was kind of true, there wasn't anything else of use in this junkyard besides shelter and plenty of rats. And with a whipof her tail, she even wondered why this stranger was eating out in the cold while he could rest in a damaged car. "Guessing your here just to have some food?" She asked, unsheathing her claws. Last time she met a cat on the streets, she received a rather bad face scar.

Vale never seemed to stay in one place at once, not anymore. Before Drought's death he'd lived in DeathClan for ages. He'd been with that place for a good chunk of it's lifespan but after the murder with the small gang things became a bit of a bore for him. He could always go back at any point but for now he just did things as he pleased. He didn't stay in a spot for long, he'd usually get food and shelter then move on. He just wandered and if there was room to cause a bit of ruckus well there was that too.
"I'd be even lesser than a genius and a half if I were to pass up any meals, whether they are as unappealing as these or not." He gave a shrug. He never favored rats but out here a meal was a meal. "You here for the same reasons? Better watch out or you'll be covered in rat bites. I hear those get infected pretty easily, not that I'd know from experience." He gave a toothy grin, though it was more teasing. He'd been bitten by rats when they'd taken over a good chunk of DeathClan's terrain and he'd been left ill for a while.
He glanced slowly at her unsheathed claws and narrowed his eyes slowly, snorting and rolling his eyes. "Those better be out for the rats." He said coolly.

Patch let a smirk escape, narrowing her green eyes. Rat bites were probably the lesser worries in this place called reality. At the toms warning on rats, she flicked her ears. "Please, pretty sure hawks are scarier than a few oversized mice." She answered, rolling her eyes. Patch honestly never knew why she had a fear of hawks so badly, but that's just another piece to her brain.
Patch looked around, just to make sure rats had taste for cat today. The she-cat lifted her right front paw, her claws extended. "What? Afraid of a cat younger and smaller than you?" She meowed with a teasing grin.

"Mm.. Frankly, dogs are far more threatening if they're properly aggravated, or a fox." He'd seen an eagle while in IceClan which was probably close enough. "Whatever you say." He wasn't entirely directing the fact that they were scary rather infections from rat bites could get incredibly deadly.
"I'm sure that you would love to make yourself believe that." He yawned. "I'm sure everyone would, sounds a lot more reassuring than the truth." He finished his meal.
"So, giving you a bit of a chance here. Before I nickname you pest, here's the opportunity to give me your actual name. Not that I am too intrigued I just like to keep a mental list of the nuisances around here." He smiled slightly, though it wasn't exactly because he was happy or in a good mood.

Patch cast her grin aside as the tom spoke, nodded with a flick of her ears. "Eh, whateves, couldn't waste a chance to say that though." She meowed with a smirk. When she was asked for her name, the white and black cat shook her fur, getting the fallen snow off of her. "Well.. Names Patch. And anyone can call me anything as long as its not stupid." She said.
Even though Patch kept her name, she didn't really get a liking towards it. So she let's people call her almost anything.
