The young she-cat blinked slowly and smiled at Windswirl 's approving praise of Swirlaw's catch. She dipped her head in thanks, and was especially grateful when the warrior picked up her mouse. The young feline would never admit to it, as she didn't want to seem unworthy, but three pieces of prey was a bit of a mouthful for her small jaw to handle. At the mention of heading back to camp now, the apprentice dipped her head in agreeable consent, and picked up the remainder of her prey. She managed to refrain from biting down on her kill, despite the tantalizing scents swarming at her. (Short)

Walking ahead and closely, nothing much could be said till they reached there. If she did try, she'd drop the prey in a patch of dead grass or mud..something unhygienic; cross contamination for the prey which was freshly caught by Swirlpaw, meanwhile Windswirl only caught a sparrow. As they walked, she remembered when first showing.. or telling Swirlpaw of the borders. She knew Swirlpaw would catch on quickly. Passing the stream and so fourth it was just a few more steps till they reached camp. Swirlpaw's assessment would be coming up quickly too, she wondered if she was excited about it. Arriving in camp, she walked to the pile to set it down.

Swirlpaw followed Windswirl in utter silence. Yet pride still swelled slightly in her chest. She'd caught well today, or at least well enough to earn sufficient praise. Any cat would say she was carrying back her mentor's prey, and for some reason the young feline would never deny this all that much, no matter how little truth it held. She and her mentor had seemingly silently agreed that it was a bad idea to speak with prey in their jaws. And so the remaineder of their journey back to the camp across Rockclan territory was spent by Swirlpaw keeping close to her mentor's side and listening to her pawsteps in order to stay near, as she couldn't scent her through the succulent, juicy, mouthwatering prey. Oh, she was so glad when they made it to camp. She instantly bounded toward the fresh kill pile and dropped her food gently on the top before trotting back toward Windswirl, swiping her tongue over her jaws to take in the remainder of the prey taste. (Blah, little muse)

"Your free to do whatever you'd like now." She purred, sitting down,"Actually, eat something. You did so well, you deserve it Swirlpaw." [If you like we can end it here or continue some conversation]

Swirlpaw blinked up blankly at her mentor, before catching on and offering a smile. Nodding, she took a vole and settled down by the apprentice's den, dipping her head to Windswirl as she passed her. Crouching down with her paws tucked in, she took a neat bite of her prey before chewing thoughtfully.
