Dapplekit blinked her green eyes open and scanned the nursery. The calico shivered and curled her tail trying to keep warm. Dapplekit sighed and looked around. Most kits were huddling close with their mothers but she was not. Dapplekit sighed

    Lakekit stumbled far from her mother, being young and all. But her fur had gotten longer nearly every day. The weird half-white kit sniffed around, not caring for the snow and continuing to crawl. Suddenly she bumped into something else soft, and she sniffed it, Another kitten? Wha if she might be one of my siblings?

Silentkit, or Miatu, as she preferred, twitched her ears in the dark of night. Her gaze scanned the nursery with growing interest. She was almost at the age of an apprentice, and she already didn't belong here as it was. The only reason she was held back was that all kits had to stay for at least five to six moons in the nursery, even if they'd spent three and a half already outside the clans. Its not just here you don't belong kitty. It's everywhere really. But you already knew this, didn't you? Storm should have killed you when he had the chance. Strangly enough, Miatu wasn't even sure if he meant that or not. If she was dead, he'd have no host to fester in. Yet as she thought about it, was he not like a virus? If she had kits as a warrior, then the virus would carry on to her firstborn, and so on to theirs. She flinched sub-consciously at this idea before switching back to reality.

She noticed a young kit, it's eyes still sealed shut, wondering toward the entrance in a wavering crawl. Getting to her paws, she bounded forward and felt it burrow itself into her fur. Bending down, she sniffed it. Notifying herself that it was a little she-kit of Dappledleaf's brood. She wasnted sure of her aged, but size-wise, she was not meant to be wondering off into camp in the snow, nor was she allowed to go off at night. Purring gently to comfort the younger kitten, she nudged it to the nearest nest, noticing both queen's were full. She bowed her head to the nest alongside the one she'd nudged the younger kit into. Clearly, seeing as the other kit was awake, she assumed she'd been the first road block in little @jcoonfrost 's path to her unsuspected location of a large heap of snow. As she curled herself around the much younger kitten, she felt her mothering side kick in, despite being only of apprentice age, and she ran her tongue over the little one's pelt to warm it. She then glanced curiously at the other cat(Dapplekit ) and offered her a smile.

(The fact that she was crawling and a lot younger by this thread, I'm making an assumption that in here she's very young. They are technically sisters by the fact that Dappledleaf offered to care for Miatu/Silentkit, despite her lack of need for milk, being three and a half moons when she arrived.)
