The brown tabby tom had been resting in his nest like all good kittens do. But just like everyone else, the curiosity of the outside world got the best of him. Brackenkit crept away from his sleeping mother on his rather large paws, managing not to stumble. As soon as he hit the entrance to the nursery, he looking behind him before disappearing. The bright light nearly blinding him, he shaded his eyes before they'd adjusted. Such green foliage! What stunning colors! The kit stood dumbfounded for a few moments, before a grand smile caught his face and he jumped for joy- literally -before running towards a furry lump of sweet smelling prey. tag: Kestrelpaw ▪ words: 128 ▪ ooc: I made our thread finally xD |

Birchkit hissed as a ray of bright light from outside the nursery fell upon her. She rolled over in her nest and snuggled up to her mother in an attempt to fall back asleep, but to no avail. The tabby-and-white kitten spent a few more moments sulking before getting onto paws and looking around the nursery with sleep-bleary amber eyes. Her gaze caught onto the form of another kitten at the entrance of the nursery. Curiously she trotted towards them, confused when the kitten--who seemed not to have noticed her--took off. She rushed forward herself, her curiosity now even more peaked. When she reached the entrance of the den a familiar scent hit her nose, Brackenkit! The tabby-and-white she-kit could just make out the form of her brother.
"Brackenkit!" she called out as she trailed swiftly after him.

The tabby tom turned around, looking at the tabby and white kitten coming towards him. Birchkit! His heart swelled with pride at his younger sister's curiosity as well. "What're you doing up?" He asked, smiling at her like he was hiding something. tag: Kestrelpaw ▪ words: 053 ▪ ooc: oml, my muse went out the window |

Birchkit gave a wide, welcoming grin. "The sun woke me up," she mewed brightly, as if the fact was something to be happy about. She skidded to a stop next to the other kitten. The tabby-and-white she-kit found the look on her siblings face curious, but she didn't question it, "and I couldn't fall back asleep. What 'bout you?"
