Undo these chains, My friend I'll show you the rage I've hidden |
-Sorry for the wait, my power went out for most of the day-
For once, the cool air that usually hung around Twolegplace was gone, replaced with the soft, warm glow of the midday sun, a delightful change for most of the residents around who weren't too fond of the cold. This include the rather crabby Adagio, who was out doing his usual routine of wandering the streets, jumping over fences and avoiding neighbouring dogs and hostile cats. Escape from his Twoleg's nest that morning had been rather simple, as she had left the kitty door unlocked accidentally the previous night, and he was able to sneak out earlier than usual. After that, it was a easy pickings; made even more the enjoyable by the lack of wandering Twolegs wanting to return him home.
He'd spent the majority of his morning hunting around the junkyard for mice, as well as hiding from packs of rats, and after eating his fill of prey he'd decided to wander around for a while until he became tired.
Leaping down from a high stone wall, he landed quietly on the grass below, glancing around quickly before sitting down and drawing his tongue over his paw. Giving his ears a quick wash, he took the time to observe his surroundings, peering into the neighbouring trees into the territory beyond. He was aware of the cats living beyond there, wild cats that wore the bones of their enemies and fought to the death for sport -or so he'd been told-, and flattened his ears at the thought of them. Brutes. Why on earth would they choose that life? He narrowed his eyes in thought and sighed quietly. Sure better than being cooped up by some two-legged nuisance all day, I'll bet. I could go now, if I really wanted to...
He stood up abruptly, seriously considering the option, before shaking his head and slumping bac down. Ah, screw it. Who needs that? I've got everything I could ever want here, and if I want to leave, I can any time. I'm Adagio, gosh darnit! I can do whatever the heck I want! Letting out a muffled chuckle he, he rose to his feet and prepared to spring back up onto the fence, when he heard a quiet rustle in the foliage beyond. He froze, eyes darting back to the concealed being. He remained still for a moment, before fluffing out his pelt and rounding on the source of the noise, lifting his head high and shoving his ears forward. "Who's there? Show yourself immediately!"
