The air was blistering past her tin layer of fur and clawing against her skin like a claw of ice digging into her pelt. She shivered as another cold breeze hit her and the claw struck her again. Sandstone sat up and looked around the camp and it looked completely empty. But it made sense because the cold had probably driven everyone to there warm nests and warm dens. She was the weird one who would sit out in the cold while others stayed in their warm nests. It was one of the major flaws in her personality besides being over comfident, and being a huge smart-aleck. That's why she was so unpopular in the clan.
She turned her head to the Sid sensing a cat nearing. Her tail flickered softly and she smiled softly to the cat. "Hello." She meowed her eyes glistening with a little bit of light from the sun the barely peaked through the clouds that were passing through. Sandstone just waited for the other cat to reply, the cats pending reply allowed her to get in a sitting form where she could really see the cat beside her. She looked the cat up and down not recognizing them.

I had returned from a hunting trip, holding a measly sparrow in my jaws. Better than nothing, I suppose. At least newleaf was coming, then everyone's spirits would be up again. Including mine. Leaf-bare always made me rather melancholy. The fact that so many cats suffered from illness and hunger, and how we were almost powerless helping our Clanmtes, was a terrible feeling. I shivered as the bitter wind pierced my skin even through my thick pelt. Sighing, I turned away from the meager fresh-kill pile to sit at the edge of camp. Licking a paw and drawing it over my torn ear, I winced as I felt it sting from cold. Looking around, a familiar cat caught my eye. Getting up, I walked over. Sandstone turned her head around and say "Hello." I replied, "Hello, Sandstone, it's good to see you out and about."

"Hello Dapplecloud. Good to see you too." She meowed in reply glad to see an old friend. She remembered her from a few moons ago after she completed her warrior training and became a warrior. She could tell Dapplecloud was pretty cold. And her paws were covered with small snowflakes. She must've been hunting. "How was hunting?" She asked keeping the conversation going.

"Hunting was good. Better than it was a while ago, though it's still hard to find much." I said, covering my paws with my tail to thaw them. "At least newleaf and greenleaf are coming, and we can all regain some strength." I purred, looking forward to the prospect of having warm temperatures again, though yet another chilly breeze interrupted my thoughts, bringing me back to reality. "How has life been for you, Sandstone?"
[It's ironic... there's a gigantic snowstorm happening in my area right now xD]

"True." She meowed nodding in agreement. "Life's been good. Going to be a mother soon but warrior duties will eliminated for a bit." She sighed. "Im happy as can be, I love being a warrior now." She meowed smiling. Her green eyes filled with joy. She had died every day waiting to become an warrior when she was in apprentice hood. She was honestly the happiest she could be.
*same Wisconsin IS really BAD right now*

I felt a twinge of surprise when I heard Sandstone was expecting kits. While a pleasant surprise, Spruceclaw had never mentioned it, though the two were obviously mates. "I'm very happy that you're expecting kits." I said. "And it's good having a good time as a warrior, even if it can get monotonous at times." I added, purring in spite of myself.
