It had been two moons since Anemonemist had really paid attention to what was going on in RockClan... two long moons of no injuries or battles, or anything... important she would need to know about. At least, she assumed so. If there was something horrible going on, she expected the Clan cats to be screaming and running around while debating about said problem. Or that someone would come and tell her, since all she did was sit in her den and pluck at dried herbs all day and wouldn't have been that hard to find. She kept the herb storage clean, of course. But the same thing over and over again was the reason she left her life as a rouge--and to offer her medical knowledge to cats in need while benefitting herself, that too, but she needed something to worm it's way into her conscious so that her dusty blue eyes could focus on reality.
Maybe Raggedwolf was nearby? He was her... 'friend', Anemonemist recalled. Or at least she assumed he still was. If he even wanted to be, she had been an anti-social grump for the past eight weeks. Could she hold it against him to throw their mutual friendship away? Perhaps she had already done that by neglecting her own acts as a friend. Because friends... they didn't just wait for other friends to find them, right?
Anemone didn't even know how to think of Raggedwolf if he did turn down any acts of rebuilding the slight bond they had formed. She expected she would be angry, given her personality. Then she'd most likely pretend nothing had even happened--and believe it, too, in her dream-like existence--and go about her life acting as though she wasn't hurt by losing a friend.
But this was all considering she even lost one.
Exiting from the medicine den with her mind set on giving RockClan a bit of her attention, her foggy eyes drifted across the clearing. It was chilly, but not freezing. A nice weather foreshadowing the coming New-Leaf. And a soft, gentle breeze that smothered RockClan's scent onto Anemonemist's face. Being cooped up in a den for two moons had made her grow a little less use to RockClan's smell, for she had adapted the earthy tones and sharp tangs of herbs like when she had been a traveling rouge. But she doubted that RockClan would doubt her identity... or, she hoped they hadn't forgotten about her.
Though even if they had... she still had a job to do.
And then her confidence fell, her anti-social attitude returning with the next gust of wind and her face shriveling into a tight frown. If RockClan was in trouble, someone would have gone and told her about it. She didn't have to make the effort and chat. It was pointless. So, with a stiff walk towards the fresh-kill pile, she swooped up a bird and marched back to the entrance of her den. However, in a last spare moment of lingering courage, the silver speckled healer planted herself beside the medicine den to eat. And prayed to CloudClan no one would talk to her.....
{ haha... I'm back! It was entirely my fault for taking a two month leave of VWW and without telling anyone of where I'd gone and why, and I apologize to everyone! >_< In a meek defense/excuse, a lot of things were piling up on my shoulders that didn't give me the drive to roleplay(which I can't go into details about a few personal things). A few days off to gather my thoughts ended up turning to weeks, and when I finally wanted to come back on the site I wasn't brave enough to face my absence and ended up putting it off. Then I began to forget about roleplaying altogether, until now when I finally have the courage to return... I wasn't trembling okay I'm extremely sorry for leaving and being gone for two months(or something like that?), and I hope to stay more active now that a few things are looking bright in my life. I can understand if you guys are mad or something or want to give me a warning, or whatever the case. Though I have the roleplaying spirit again I think, and am happy to be back! ~Rini }

Crevicelight just recently been promoted to the ranking of a warrior, and she was still adjusting to everything - mainly that she was now responsible for more than her apprentice days. Mentoring Ripplepaw in general. The Turkish Angora was struggling, for she herself believed that there was still so much for her to learn. But Cloverstar saw her to be ready for this new stepping stone in her life, and she just had to accept that. She was welcomed by a small breeze, and the she-cat immediately fell into her normal self. She smiled; it was a brand new day, hence new opportunities to learn and become a better cat that she was destined to be. She spotted the grey medicine cat, Aneomonemist, she believed. Not like she knew what an anemone was honestly. "Good morning!" she called out, hopping to the respected cat who was returning to her den. There was a sharp smell of herbs around her, and Crevicelight wrinkled her nose a bit before giving a small sneeze. "Oh, I'm sorry! I just haven't-" she cut herself off, realizing that the speckled cat was not reciprocating her level of friendliness. "I don't think we've ever talked to each other before. I'm Crevicelight."
hi Rini, welcome back! hopefully the things that were going on are getting better. I'm always here if you need someone to talk to. life always gets in the way, so no worries!<3 ✿

Anemonemist had massively cringed at the long "Good morning!" from nearby and a stranger appearing to greet the unsociable healer. Why, after forcing herself to believe in their ancestors of CloudClan, did they forsake her now? Was this punishment for neglecting her duties as a Clancat in actually talking to someone? Oh, what luck. What brilliant luck some she-cat had decided to approach the medicine cat who wanted nothing to do with her whatsoever.
Turning her dusty blue eyes onto the stranger, Anemone quelled a growing desire to spit at the warrior--although she seemed young for a warrior, so maybe an apprentice instead?--about wanting some peace and quiet alone. But striking down a Clanmate's act of socializing wouldn't win her more than she would lose, and the only reward would be however much longer the speckled she-cat could handle sitting quietly in a stuffy den. So, returning her attention to the nameless cat she had never heard of nor seen in her cloudy mind, Anemone swiped all negative thoughts away and opened her mouth to speak--
--just as the she-cat sneezed. It was small, nothing that would lead to too much embarrassment, but it had made Anemonemist take a few quick steps away and close her jaws at once, praying to her traitors in CloudClan that nothing had flown into her mouth. Sickening cats! the healer snorted in rage, drawing closer to the she-cat and fighting the urge to roar her anger to the world. Where is a decent cat when I need one? No--where is a cat who is decent enough to LEAVE. ME. ALONE.
"Y-you...." Anemone finally had a grasp of her emotions, just as she let slip the brisk venom into her words. She cleared her throat, and then gave her head a few rapid, stiff shakes to clear her thoughts. Friendly, Anemone. she growled to herself. You don't need another enemy. Or a friend, for that matter. But be friendly at least! "N-no." the silver healer sniffed. "We've never talked before." Thank the clouds for that. "I'm Anemonemist."
Though she felt negatively towards the stranger, deep down she had a tint of guilt for her anger. It was a simple sneeze--colds were common in this season. Perhaps she should have suggested a check-up on the warrior instead of being offended by the coincidence of hanging her jaw open at the same time she gave a small sneeze. And perhaps she did feel a bit guilty at her thoughts.
But maybe the stranger would prove her thoughts to not have been mistakes at all. Maybe, in the next few moments... the she-cat react badly to Anemone's own response.
{ thank you! ^_^ }

Still keeping a smile on her face, Crevicelight continued to wrinkle her nose, adjusting to the strong odors around the medicine cat. 'I would not be able to do what she does, wow! I wonder why her nose is not acting up right now.'She blinked when the stranger took a slight fright in the sneeze, but ignored it. She was not sick, so there was really nothing to worry about. Unless this medicine cat would easily get frightened by other small things, Crevicelight would have to watch her actions, for the Turkish Angora was usually full of energy. 'Y-you...' The warrior looked back at the grey cat, happy to hear her voice. It was not as pleasant as expected, but at least the stranger was able to talk. Although something seemed to be off about the cat, Crevicelight pushed past it, just seeing the cat as someone to play with potentially. She could talk, after all. Anemonemist. A weird name, but the weirder, the better, right? Not to mention that Anemonemist was a weird cat herself. Different it seemed. 'She's not as friendly, but at least she did not tell me to leave her alone, yet!' Emphasis on the yet, for Crevicelight was now sniffing the medicine cat's coat even more, nose adjusting to the smell. Let's just say that the warrior had no boundaries. "What's it like being a medicine cat?"

It seemed this warrior didn't even notice her slight slip in hostility. That was... good, right? She didn't want to bristle this she-cat's fur, but at the same time, Anemonemist would have rather be left alone. Even if the medicine cat's den was stuffy, and even if all the herbs had been sorted through dozens upon dozens of times, just to waste time. It wasn't boring so much as it was... un-amusing.
But it wasn't like she would sink to hunting or battle training anytime soon.
Giving her head a rough tilt to the side at the question of her lifestyle, Anemone debated on how to respond. She supposed she could be honest. There was nothing to gain with lying. "It a simple life with simple things to do. I sort the herbs and make sure none are dying. I make sure the herb patches are growing nicely with coming New-Leaf. And I prepare to treat wounds at a moment's notice. It sounds boring, but when you're used to it...." the medicine cat paused for a moment. "It's... nice."

And I prepare to treat wounds at a moment's notice. It sounds boring, but when you're used to it.... It's... nice.' Throughout, the warrior fidgeted, not really expecting a monologue, but that was sort of like her training sessions with Cloverstar, so Crevicelight was sort of used to cats who would just ramble. 'Boring!' Crevicelight thought, wanting to tell Anemonemist, but the medicine cat did say her role was nice. Like Spiderleaf's role as a queen. . . different, but still useful to the clan. The warrior was starting to understand a bit more of the different ranks and their importance to the clan, but there was still a lot for her to take in. "So it's like how a mentor watches out for their apprentice!" she called out, pressing herself deeper into the cat's coat. Her nose still stung from the smell, but whatever. She'd adjust soon enough. She then pulled herself out and settled down to sit, tail thumping on the ground. "Why a medicine cat though? Don't you want to have adventure and excitement? It seems boring to not be able to fight in a battle!"

Anemonemist awkwardly looked away. It is nothing like a mentor to an apprentice! she wanted to spit, but held her tongue. What point was there to that? None, whatsoever. And she didn't need to make Crevicelight angry or sad because of her disagreement. So, the medicine cat simply listened to her next words, and contemplated her response. Of course while wearing a disgusted frown. Adventure? Excitement? Battle? What was the point of all that to a she-cat who had no interest or skill at any of those? Anemo had her position as a healer for a reason, and not just because it was easy. Her lack of skills in the other subjects proved to mark her standings as a survivor low on the bar, and her point of existence being none. She didn't need any adventures, and she certainly didn't need the excitement. She was just fine finding an 'adventure' protecting the herbs from frost, and 'excitement' when someone finally paid a visit to the medicine den--not that she rather liked that, but she supposed there was a little rush of emotion at that.
But battle? That discouraged her. At least there were cats like Crevicelight who appeared to enjoy such disturbing things.
"If I ever were in battle," Anemo began with a sigh. "I would die. Simple as that. And to answer your question, a healer is what I've always been and the only point to me being alive. I'm not much good at anything else."

'If I ever were in battle, I would die. Simple as that. And to answer your question, a healer is what I've always been and the only point to me being alive. I'm not much good at anything else.' Crevicelight cringed a bit again. Monologue. She'd have to expect those more often, she guessed. 'Sooo . . . she . . . can't . . . fight. . .' The warrior's tail stopped its thumping and she died a bit inside. '. . .only heal. . .' Although her disappointment was obvious, the warrior managed to still keep her spirits up in a way. "I'm sure there's other things you're good at!" she encouraged, voice slightly cracking. "Likeee. . . still being able to handle me. For some reason, most cats don't like me, but what's not to like, right?" She then got up and paced a circle around the medicine cat, trying to come up with more stuff. "And it must be cool to attend your medicine cat meetings! I don't know what goes on, obviously, but I'm sure that you're able to report and discuss a lot there, so your feedback is also really helpful!"

{ SO SORRY for how late this is, I kept meaning to post here but then something distracts me! >-< }
Anemonemist felt herself stiffen at how utterly bored the she-cat looked. If she wasn't interested in the conversation, she should just leave it now. Did she even care for her medicine cat's words, or was Crevicelight just sitting through them to earn Ane's likeness? Typical. What had she expected? Oh, perhaps a normal cat, as Crevicelight bluntly stated most cats didn't like her. Hmph, well she earned another member of that team. "I don't see the achievement in that." Ane muttered, though as Crevicelight seemed to care less what she said deep down, talking was now pointless. This whole conversation was pointless. It wasn't like Ane wanted a friend, nor did she even want to seek Crevicelight's neutral standing. The she-cat could consider her a demon for all the medicine cat cared.
Crevicelight began to circle her. What was she doing? It almost felt like the warrior was purposely trapping Anemonemist here, not giving the she-cat a chance to dash to the safety of the medicine den. Looking bored herself at the RockClan warrior's words, Ane at least was polite enough to listen to half of what she said, before scoffing. "Sure." she said simply with a lash of her tail. What else was there to say, even? What else did she want to say?
Well, she did want to send Crevicelight away. Except a Clanmate was a Clanmate. And though the idea of enemies didn't drive Anemonemist to correct the direction their meeting was going towards, it at least wasn't a pleasant thing to achieve. "Yes. I suppose you're right." That was enough to say, yes? Enough to satisfy Crevicelight?
