Finchkit headed out of the nursery and sat down and sighed. It was her second time out of the nursery. The light brown tabby groomed her pelt and scanned the camp. Her green eyes fixed on the camp exit but she knew that she had to wait six more moons

A kitten! Crevicelight hopped off the boulder she was napping on. It was a while since she talked to one of them! Maybe she would be able to play with someone so young again!

She trotted over to the kitten and then stopped, noticing that the stranger was looking at the camp exit. "We should go out and explore, right?" she squealed, placing her front paw on the kitten's back and purred.

Finchkit looked up at the older she-cat. A warrior! "Right" the tiny light brown tabby meowed. "What's your name. I'm Finchkit"

Removing her paw from the kitten, Crevicelight smiled. "Nice meeting you, Finchkit! I'm Crevicelight."

The warrior hopped to the exit and swished her tail for the kitten to follow, only to remember the big rule that Spiderleaf once told her - kits were not allowed out of the camp.

"Umm, how about we pretend that the camp is the territory?" she proposed. "It's really the same, just more open space!"
