@maplefrost
The sun was setting, spreading warm colors across the sky, which would fade as the sun disappeared.
Duskrise had been on a leisurely stroll through the territory, as was normal for him. This time, with a shrew hanging from his jaws as he walked back into camp. He made his way over to the fresh-kill pile and deposited his prey. He looked around, and noticed a face that struck something in his mind. He tilted his head to the side. It seemed... To be an elder. Hm.
Eh. It'd probably come to him if he went over and said hello! He smiled and walked over. "Hello!"

MAPLEFROST OF ICECLAN Evening was a bittersweet time of day for Maplefrost. On one paw, the sun was still warming his pelt, so he could sit in the camp and listen to the daily chatter while soaking up some heat. But in a little while, it would get cold, and everyone would withdraw into their dens for the night, leaving the blind calico to return to the lonely elders' den. He had Windflurry but she wasn't around every night, and besides, things had just been too empty since Redstorm's death. Yet it felt like the whole Clan had already forgotten about that old tabby tom.
The Maine Coon had been sitting on a rock near the fresh-kill pile when pawsteps approached, and then a voice rang out. It was vaguely familiar but putting names to faces had become harder ever since he'd lost the ability to actually see those faces. Nevertheless, Maplefrost straightened up and turned towards Duskrise.
"Evening," he rumbled back. "What might you need from me?" WORDS: 164 || WRITTEN FOR: Duskrise NOTES - n/a template by Margie @ Adoxography v2

Duskrise smiled hearing the elder's greeting back at him.
"I feel like we've met somewhere before, however I can't quite place your name. I figured the best way to find out was to come up and talk to you." He explained with a bright tone. Now that he'd heard the elder's voice, he vaguely remembered a comment about him being too enthusiastic.

MAPLEFROST OF ICECLAN Maplefrost tipped his head slightly to one side, thinking. "Yes, you do seem familiar," he agreed. "I'm afraid I'm in the same spot in terms of memory. My name's Maplefrost," the elder informed Duskrise.
"You wouldn't happen to have any apprentices, would you? I've actually been looking for someone young to talk to about mentoring procedures. When my bones can handle it, I sometimes take an apprentice, but I have a creeping suspicion that my techniques are out of date. It's been a long time since my days as Maplepaw."
