Dappledleaf had woken several minutes ago and in one, slow movement, finally managed to pick herself up from her nest in the quiet den. It seemed as if a number of warriors in IceClan had dropped quickly since the past couple of moons.
She was met by the cool, crisp morning air as she lumbered out of the den in a not-so-ladylike fashion. Unfurling her long limbs and tail to stretch, she let out a small yawn. Pulling herself together afterwards, she groomed her fur intently for a good minute before trotting in direction of the apprentices' den.
Sticking her head in, she called out in a light voice. "Dreamwish, time to begin training for the day!" Pulling her head out of the den, she paused on her way to wait at the entrance as her stomach gave a loud, dissatisfied growl. Grimacing, she went to investigate the pile in search of anything the apprentices didn't appreciate. Food went to waste a lot of the time because of that. After grabbing a smaller-than-usual trout, she went to go lay by the entrance while chewing it thoughtfully.

Dreampaw yawned. She was a little less-than enthusiastic about leaving the warm den. Her legs were stiff as an icicle when she got up. Stretching she padded out of the den into early-morning camp.
Dreampaw realized that she hadn't groomed herself. A little embarassed, she sat down next to the fresh-kill pile to groom herself and get a bite to eat. After grooming herself, she chose a fish to eat and went next to Dappledleaf to eat it.
The air was satisfyingly cool and crisp. It would be nice to just take a walk across the territory, but she knew that wouldn't happen. It would most likely be battle training, since she had hunting training yesterday. After getting finished with her fish, she asked her mentor "Are we doing battle training today?"

After gulping down the rest of her fish in a quick motion, she nodded in response. "Indeed, we are. Even if it isn't what you're looking forward to the most it is mandatory... I'll try to be quick when we review it, though!"
Getting to her paws, she waved her tail in the direction of the exit. Once outside the camp, she waited for Dreampaw to meet her. Afterwards, they would head to the battle training hollow.

Dreampaw got up onto her paws. She padded to the entrance. Following Dappledleaf, she heard the rustling of the trees. Where they going to the 'magical' and 'fantastical' training hollow? She yawned as she stood next to Dappledleaf.

(ok wow nine days is a lot)
Once she spotted Dreampaw, she dipped her head and then trotted in the direction of the hollow, assuming she could easily keep up by now.
Once they arrived, she sat in the middle of the bare hollow and curled her tail gingerly around her paws. "First," she began lighty, "we'll go over basic defense and attack. Afterwards, we'll move onto moves more difficult and slightly more effective during battle. When we're sparring, remember it's ok to change things up because that makes it harder for the opponent to read you consistently."
She unfurled her limbs with a content yawn and then flicked her tail. "Ready to begin?"

Dreampaw nodded. So, you had to keep your opponent confused, eh? That would seem easy enough, but Dappledleaf was a warrior, so she could probably predict her every move. Well, she was slightly confident in herself.
